This is what someone said on the BF forums:
• You gain/loose SL based on every confrontation with another player
• Killing a highly skilled enemy gives you more points than killing someone less skilled
• Points are not transferred from a player to another, they are simply added/subtracted based on the encounter and the SL of both parts (thus, after an encounter, one part may go up 50 points while the other loses only 20)
• The SL is used for matchmaking
I don't think this is right, it should be based on your performance or something, or at least you don't gain skill if you kill a lower skill player, that makes no fucking sense, it isn't my fault god damn it.
I went 67/1 on a game of obliteration a few days ago.

If we go EU I'll likely pick UK, Denmark or Germany. Fragnet has a test server you can ping in germany ( mcde.fragnet.net ) Dallas ( mcus1.fragnet.net ) and lastly Stockholm ( mcse.fragnet.net )

I tried pinging the Dallas server but it doesn't apparently exist and Stockholm server gives time outs.

So I've I finally got around to do the campaign to get the unlocks, and I've got to say: Irish is one whiny bitch.
At least there's no quicktime event where you fight a FUCKING RAT. WHO THE FUCK THOUGHT THAT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO HAVE THAT IN BF3? So BF4 is only ok because BF3 set the bar so low. I wish DICE didn't pretend that anyone buys Battlefield for the campaign, unless it's Bad Company.
Seriously, we need Bad Company 3.
Also, are BF3 and BF4 connected at all?

You can unlock the China Rising guns right now, i got the MTAR 21 on accident. Apparently it's one LMG kill, one AR kill, one sniper rifle kill and a grenade kill in a single round to unlock it. High RoF, terrible recoil and low damage. Not that great. Hoping the L85A2 will be a beast like in BF3
The L85 is better than it was in BF3. It has a little more recoil though, but it's really easy to control.
I picked a guy off of a rhib boat that was about 400 meters away, and it was going full speed. Was in dis belief that I killed him in a few shots.
Also sniped a littlebird pilot from the side of a Z-11 with the L96.

The L96 is quite a hard one IMO. 18 Kills with a sniper rifle. Then have enough time to use the DMR, shotgun and c4. Pretty steep challange in my own personal opinion. If anyone has used the l96 does it function exactly like BF3? It was my favourite sniper in BF3.
