My flight experience in BF4 is the same as it was in BF3 Every now and then I dogfight a pilot of roughly equal skill and one of us eventually gets shot down after an intricate dance. But the majority of my flight experience is going up, seeing a jet, watching him out turn to the side of my screen, then instantly dying 2 seconds later.

I see they still haven't changed these weird fucking helicopter controls. Can fly a helicopter fine in arma. Try in BF3 and I go plowing into the ground 1minute later
The 40x scope is worthlessly high range. It's almost pointless.

I get killed by that thing pretty often[/QUOTE] The ACE 52 is better than the AK 5C at everything besides headshots at 8m or less (and the AK 5C only wins by 9 milliseconds there), but the ACW-R is better than the AK 5C for that (wins over the ACE 52 by 24 milliseconds) although it has more recoil. The ACE 21 is sort of in between the ACW-R and AK 5C. As a rule of thumb the starter guns aren't very useful but have low recoil and low RoF so they're easy to use for new players. The AK-12 is an exception because it can burst at 750 RPM while having the accuracy loss of a 650 RPM gun.

I'm starting to think that Snipers might be bugged at long range in general, for me at least. I get that 'bullet comes out where the barrel is", thus not going anywhere [I]near[/I] my crosshair even when I've been scoped in for a while, and deployed. Like, veering way off to the right or left without moving myself at all. The only way I've been able to use rifles is using a medium range scope and straight action bolt, going to mid-range assault. Well, it's not like I had any reason to be a useless recon, but getting 3 ribbons for snipers at closer range was a pain.

I hope they go back to BF3's way of ignoring the muzzle direction. Pretty much every weapon is far less accurate than the advertised value because they shake. I do however want them to keep the basic mechanic of the cone becoming misaligned with center of the screen, but do it like CS where it's proportionate to recoil. That'd actually make spraying harder instead of making everything less accurate.
I'm glad I can use other weapons for recon, always felt like a useless piece of shit as a sniper.

So you'll either out turn them or just end up in a stupid loop battle. They really need to add G force effects

I take back what I said about performance, some maps are horribly laggy for no reason. Does anyone know if this sort of thing will be rectified in patches or if it'll always be like this? I hate having to play the game on low/medium to get a steady 60 fps (considering it runs flawlessly on Ultra on an empty server). And even then, there's the occasional stutter and freeze.
I'm remaking BF3Color.dll for this because I'm tired of the strange washed out color schemes some maps have Time to wait through this assy campaign intro and then probably shoot some guys to get to a safe area for testing + debugging

Well shit, I'm reversing BF4 and it looks like compiler optimizations were completely turned off. You've got stuff like useless functions that just manipulate registers in a way that does nothing (by saving the registers, manipulating them then restoring them) then jump to the "real function" and debug prologue code that also does nothing useful. I think they shipped a debug build.
"Carbine score" is kills if I understood it correctly?
