Well, finally got rank 10 and golden battlepack. [t]http://i.imgur.com/8C7AZUj.jpg[/t] First of all.... They should get rid off EXP boosts from these packs, they are totally useless ... I never used any boost in any kind of game and probably never will ! Second thing is... well, it seems that battlepacks also drops pieces for emblem editor, that wheel thingy.

Absolute bullshit. [editline]13th October 2013[/editline] It's not a fucking MMO.
I really dont see why someone would buy Battlefield 4 so far, i played it and it's basicly what Battlefield 3 should have been with a few fixes, with new weapons that feel exactly like the weapons on BF3, and then battlepacks why "it's good if you're impatient lelxd" Okay then how about they sell the ranks too ? I mean if people are impatient they should be able to finish the multiplayer by paying right ? I knew EA was a moneygrabber but this is pure capitalism. I mean everyone's argument are the same for BF3, "HUEG MAPS AND A LOT OF WEPONS AND VEICLES!!" That are mostly empty, they'll probably do the Kharkan trick again, and we might see some stuff like the Shangai tower that is horribly scripted and hell, they didnt even bother doing a real elevator, you just teleport from point A to B. And obviously, they didnt put the leader mode in the beta, the only interesting thing that can change the gameplay, probably because it's horribly underwhelming. At least Battlefield 3 FELT different than the previous DICE games but this doesnt only look like a BF3.3, but it feels like one. It looks like they just TOOK the game and twitched it a bit.
I bought the DDE and not for any of the reasons you mentioned. I've always liked Battlefield since 1942 came out, even BF3 (to an extent).

My favourite one was BF 2142, it was very fresh and innovative gamemode wise (Titans anyone? It was AWESOMEEEEEE). I really wish next BF to be set in future, 2143... or rather 2145 just for the sake of BF5 . I'm holding up with purchase of BF4 until release, when my local ebay equalivent will have some cheaper "eastern european" copies for sell. I can't see myself ditching out 1/6 of my monthly wage on preordering ^^ .
tbh I'm gonna skip BF4. Somehow it doesn't feels right for me. BF3.5, you say? More like BC3.

And i like how they teased "boats" to make us think that MAYBE they would put back the destroyers or the submarines but it's exactly the same shit as in BF3
And i like how they teased "boats" to make us think that MAYBE they would put back the destroyers or the submarines but it's exactly the same shit as in BF3
To be honest, I'm not sure how they could pull it off even if they wanted to.
Beta is almost over, let's start to complain about the game to pass the time
It really isn't much to write home about. I did say i wasn't going to bother with this, the beta just sealed the deal.
i like bf4 it is fun and i will buy it
To be honest, I'm not sure how they could pull it off even if they wanted to.
They still could have tried to be more imaginative than speedboats
They still could have tried to be more imaginative than speedboats
I know what you're getting at, but we haven't had that kind of big vehicle since BF1942 (besides the titans, but they were a commander controlled assets). I try to imagine it, but I can't really see how they could manage it with the Frostbyte Engine. [editline]13th October 2013[/editline] Plus, those assault boats are still pretty cash in my opinion.
It's a shame that the tower is falling down so quickly because of a few asshats in tanks or with C4. The top floor fights with chopper dropping people and elevators ringing is just awesome. Once it's gone, you get that boring filter and the C point no one cares about.
I've gotten lucky with that; every match I've been in has the tower fall after the halfway point of the match. I think people are starting to realize that fighting on top of the tower is more fun and that blowing it up should be a last resort (such as when the opposing team has absolute command of it).

I had a game the other day where some guy took down the tower before B and D were capped. Everyone was pretty mad/disappointed.
I actually haven't managed to have a game where the tower lasts more than 2 minutes. One team caps it then the other team knocks it down. Real shame because fighting up there is genuinely fun other than having to dig out rooftop campers. The destroyed area is still a decent infantry fighting area as well but is an absolute kill zone for helicopters and boats.
Sometimes it's easier to just let the other team have the tower. Because most of them will then spend the majority of the round up there trying to snipe, so you can capture and hold the rest of the capture points with ease.

It's actually a bit frightening how similar the two games are, and the Capitalism comment is more or less spot on. We paid $60 for an entirely new engine, new mechanics, etc, and now we're paying the same price for essentially the same thing with new maps because they know we will. It's an expansion pack + rebalance patch for $60. Also you have to rebuy premium. What the guy above has said holds weight with me until I figure out just how much content BF4 has.
I still don't get why BC2 gets a pass just because the first wasn't on PC. Like, BC2 was literally BC1 rebalanaced with a couple new weapons, maps, modified modes and animated collapsing buildings. I'm probably not gonna buy BF4 as soon as it comes out, but still I see nothing wrong with it.

Lets justify it because it's a good game or the reverse if it's not. That's fair.
with new weapons that feel exactly like the weapons on BF3
Why do people keep saying this I can get kills without even compensating for recoil in BF4 and have a 1000 RPM death machine at the same time. In BF3 the high tier weapons like that had recoil you had to compensate for. I'm mad damn it.
Well no, lets not go about justifying it by saying "they did it before". Lets justify it because it's a good game or the reverse if it's not. That's fair.
Well that's the thing. BF4 could be a perfectly good game but it's going to constantly catch shit for playing similarly to BF3. Which shouldn't be a problem at all to anyone who actually plays Battlefield games. DICE has always had an iterative style. 1942 > Vietnam BF2 > 2142 BC1 > BC2 BF3 > BF4 If you feel like the jump from BF3 to BF4 isn't big enough then just don't buy the game. Personally I pre-ordered because I had fun with the beta and the amount of new maps, weapons, vehicles, mechanics, and yes the singleplayer campaign that is probably going to be incredibly mediocre makes it seem worth the $60 purchase even though I already own BF3 and Premium for it. Not getting BF4 premium on launch though. I'll wait for it to go on sale like I did for BF3.
BF2 > 2142 BC1 > BC2
You serious ?
You serious ?
He's not comparing them, he's showing that one is the successor to the other, and that they have very similar playstyles.
He's not comparing them, he's showing that one is the successor to the other, and that they have very similar playstyles.
BF2 Had a similar playstyle to 2142 ? Just... No. Never.
Duh, it's called Frostbite 3 for a reason. :v:
its probably like hl2 source engine vs orange box source vs alien swarm lol
BF2 Had a similar playstyle to 2142 ? Just... No. Never.
Did you play BF2 or 2142? [editline]13th October 2013[/editline] Actually on topic, just had an amazing BF4 game. Random squad leader assigned a defend order at A so we set up there. Held it for the last half of the match against the American armored onslaught. Finally lost it when the only point they could spawn at was B but we definitely pulled a close defeat into a close victory.
Me and my friends have been playing the BF4 beta for a bit. It's not really that special, like the others have said before, it's way too similar to BF3.
Honestly i dont Care about the Graphics anymore they look amazing enough already Remember when BF3 came out and everybody was like "HOLY SHIT THIS IS THE PINNACLE" and it kinda is its not gonna get more Realistic in the next 2-3 Years if the game is Fun or Looks like fun to you Buy It. simple as that.
