Some of it is pretty good, but still - for the love of taco, I hope that if they ever get to making 2143 (or something among these lines), they'll bring the instrumental music back. 2142 music has the best Battlefield music, I dare to say some tracks are better than the original theme.

Well so far it just seems to reroute the EA assets host to his own. Shouldn't include anything important.
I like that their changing the time of day for some maps. Now instead of every map being mid afternoon, some are late afternoon, or early evening!
seriously one of my biggest gripes about bf3/4 maps. Any one that isnt at night has the sun at a very acute angle to the ground. I cant think of a single a single map were the sun is at its height.

this was actually a HUGE change in the feeling of gulf of oman over time, the new one felt like the land was rotated to face an entirely different direction, and while it felt like a new and interesting change, it didn't feel the same gameplay wise. From what I saw of the new footage it looks to be closer to that old feel.
I'm especially loving the dust storm, that's one thing I think 'back to karkand' really missed was the feel of the original Kar. There was moderately low visibility in the streets and it forced densely packed fights and limited vehicle usage. The BF3 version was super clear and littered with snipers picking people off from a window on the other end of the map
it should get pretty interesting and I want to see how battles could shift before and after the storm hits

I have a gut feeling that EA or DICE is gonna shut that down, they don't like it when somebody messes with their "vision" of how the game should be played like they how they threatened to ban people for using all those graphic mods that removed the blue tint from BF3 even though it didn't really affect the gameplay at all.
But I maybe wrong and they might not do anything, but then I can see it being broken very easily by a update and punkbuster, being the worse excuse for a anti-cheat/hack program I've ever seen, might mistake it for a hack and ban people for using it.
Speaking about punkbuster I've never actually seen it ban anybody for hacking, but that's probably because legit hackers are rare despite what most people think. Most of the time PB kicks people out because something is wrong with their PB client or it's being the usual dysfunctional piece of shit that it is.

Markman ribbons are bugged or something. It is said that you need to perform a headshot from a distance of 250m. Ive killed a guy with a distance less than 200m and got it. Although, it was 2 or 3 times. Weird. But i dont mind getting them
Dunno why but this emblem thing is broken for me. It just removed my emblem.
I hope I get a job soon, I want to buy BF4 Premium and get all the DLC and have 40 layers for emblems, I have all these insane emblems saved but I can't use them. I haven't had a ton of time to play, and when I do I seem to get on losing teams every time, I haven't even hit rank 10 yet, but it was so much easier for me to rank up in BFBC2, I feel so rusty now, remember hitting rank 28 in the first week of playing that. I must be getting old.

The ribbon description is wrong, it's awarded for every 250m of marksman headshots you do in a round (so 500m+ should technically give you more than one ribbon but I'm a shit sniper so I don't actually know that for sure).
