Yeah it's a known memory leak issue and I don't think there's a known fix yet.

Aye, tis a memory leak. Think my friend had it. He has like 16gb of ram, the game somehow isn't cleared out of the cache (im not a tech person) at the end of each round so everytime or sometimes you load a new map it adds another 1.5-2gb of shit to your cache and basically just fills up your ram.
So once he starts to get to 15.xx amount of ram usage, his PC has to be restarted. Quitting the game doesn't fix it.
Think he had the exact same problem with battlefield 3 which was never fixed. Not sure he gets it all the time though but still, what a fucking problem

Whoa, this is really cool. I'm using my laptop to look at the battlescreen while I play on my desktop. It's kind of useful.

You have to be currently in a match to use BattleScreen. Its basically just so you can have a map available without covering your current screen by pressing M. Its quite nice being able to look at a detailed map without having to cover your game screen.

It happens to me. I'll randomly get massive slowdown spikes that last for a couple of minutes then things become playable again. There's a reason why I pretty much only play domination/tdm right now. Matches that go longer have multiple spikes and it really gets annoying.

I think this happened with the BF3 launch as well, but then it got fixed over time.
Well.. Finally got the L85, so that finishes off all gun unlocks from the DLC for me, now back to getting the originals. If anyone wants to join me, I play mostly Hardcore. Apoc13378

It's a crutch for lazy play. With 3D spotting, anyone can spray at a dorito and get a kill with little to no skill.

It's more like, you hit q and suddenly, you are made aware of targets that you normally wouldn't have caught had 3D spotting been disabled. There's no need for it to be 3D, it being on the map would suffice. It's low cost, high payoff, especially with how easy it is to use.
They've done good in nerfing its effects since BC2 but I'd rather be without it altogether.

I like combat to be about movement and aim, not straining your eyes to see some guy blending into a bush or rock.

That's part of what battlefield use to be though. You could sneak about in bushes on maps like Dragon Valley and snipe guys or C4 tanks. Now you can just spam Q and see anyone regardless of if you can actually see them or not, and at longer distances shooting with an AR or LMG the game becomes a triangle shooting simulator and that's usually all i can see instead of the player
