Wait i'm using windows 7 and can run x64 fine, just grab it again when it's on sale and if they've actually fixed the problems. Shame that some people can't even run the game, i have a outdated PC and can run it fine bar the occasional crash
It doesn't help that with every "patch" it somehow becomes LESS optimized, and they think that giving everyone double XP (and basically fucking premium members over out of their own double XP weekend) for an obscene amount of time will make it okay. It's a slap in the face, and i actually lost more respect for DICE when they thought that was even remotely acceptable. It's pathetic.
Judging from the hundreds of threads and replies and Different directX errors. Whatever DirectX drivers BF4 is using, which are specific to BF4, are fucked. Some hardware is unaffected, some isn't
I've been running pretty decent as of lately, of course I've just been struggling through lockers to grind, but no crashes for last several days. Specs are Win 7 64bit, 8GB of DDR3 ram, 4th gen Haswell i5, and a evga 770gtx, averaging 50-85fps.
I dont get what people are talking about for performance issues.
Mantle will make life easier for a bunch of amd gpus by improving performance in bf4 by 10-50% exact number is still unknown since its not out yet.
My graphics settings is 1920x1080@60, Everything maxed without AA on I get 60-130 fps in bf4.
Win 7 64bit, 16GB DDR3 ram, ivy bridge i7 3770k, R HD 7970 Black edition.
+ Something important to know about bf4 is that it actually cares about how much MHz your ram got (theres framerate increases).
I use some slightly underclocked 2133 MHz sticks
Oh shit it was too fast between bf4 and bf3 im still calling it bf3 when im not quite awake yet.
Thats fucking lame dude.
Anyone here have windows 7 64 and run BF4 fine?
Runs fine. [sp]suck it, Scanic[/sp]
But the loading time is killing me.
Yes, loading times are stupid. BF3 loaded map in 30 seconds from hitting button "connect", in BF4 I need to wait 1-2 minutes.
Yes, loading times are stupid. BF3 loaded map in 30 seconds from hitting button "connect", in BF4 I need to wait 1-2 minutes.
And the worst is it takes the same time to restart the same map.

These are the kinds of things that happen when you play on a console and use tiny thumbsticks to aim
did anyone just get booted from their server? i check the list and the entire server list is like 4 or 5 people per game..
These are the kinds of things that happen when you play on a console and use tiny thumbsticks to aim
Trust me, I play on PC.
is skill only based on wins and losses? i went from like 340 to 320 but the only thing that really decreased otherwise was my w/l
Apparently there's a set algorithm for determining skill gain/loss in a round but I'm 95% sure it's just black magic

Mine's worked fine since Open beta. And when i say fine i mean "60 fps breeze holy shit this makes the rest of my games look like unoptimised garbage" fine.
RoundStats.Skill = fb::Random::getUniform();
It wasn't easy stealing the BF4 server source code, you owe me.
bought it - can't go wrong with $19.99 v:v:v
Where did you buy it for that low ?
nevermind, also fuck you EA. $29.99 = 35€ right
Holy fuck i'm so sick of this HVT shit.
I was just tagged 9 times in a row as HVT. 9 fucking times. I literally spent a majority of the match having the entire enemy team be able to see me through walls and exactly where i am on the map.
How the fuck did they think HVT was a good idea, having people pre shoot around corners because they know exactly where i am is getting VERY old
Better be shown on map only with this tag, otherwise, yes, it is BS

Loading times can go choke on a dick, but all in all it runs just fine
The fuck kind of horse shit sorcery are you guys pulling to get the game to run fine?
My game refuses to even start 90% of the time because of the crash the instant I try to bring it up from my task bar upon launching. Then in the off chance I do get in, while I get between 50-80 FPS without drops, stuttering sets in within 2 minutes, a couple small micro ones, then longer ones, more frequently, then complete hangs for seconds at a time, until I just go fuck this shit and alt+f4
I'm sitting on a Quadcore 3.2ghz, 4Gb of RAM, an HD7850, Win7 64bit, and on Low or High, I see no difference in this stuttering. But then you guys are all Mine runs fine! And I saw a few posts where people have rigs that make mine look like God able to play without these issues also. But then there's a thousand threads with the same problems I'm having
How can it be so Inconfuckingsistent
What model is that quadcore?. Also it's not something squiffy like a dodgy PSU is it?
What do you guys run on the MBTs? Everything just seems like an airsoft gun when confronting infantry - the LMG overheats before I get a single dude's health down to 50%, the HMG is kinda okay but it fires slowly and the travel time is pretty bad, the canister shell is a joke, and I'm starting to think the main cannon shoots nerf footballs when aimed at infantry. Also how exactly does Reactive Armor work in 4? I seem to take the same amount of damage whether it's equipped or not.
Loading times can go choke on a dick, but all in all it runs just fine
except shots don't register on a regular basis and i ALWAYS crash after 10 mins whenever i stay on a server that changes maps

HMG because it's more precise than the LMG so it's better long range, and takes more time to overheat. It also hurts lightly armored vehicles. Don't even bother trying to kill infantry with the main cannon. The reactive armor increases the damage threshold needed for a hit to be critical or to immobilize your vehicle, which is a godsend if you need to get out of dodge. It does not block any damage however.

It takes me mostly 3 or so minutes, really annoying.
[editline]29th November 2013[/editline]
Also have they changed anything with mortars since the last patch?
First 5 rounds of my BF4 career and I get sound loop crashes on 4 of those.

Nah, everything else runs just fine. Been enjoying Planetside 2 maxed out at great framerates in large battles lately
It's a Phenom 955 II X4. A bit dated, but she's a workhorse. It isn't overheating or anything, 55c max, and 65c max on my GPU. Completely normal. If anything I would say the GPU is cool
Loading times can go choke on a dick, but all in all it runs just fine
What loading times? Do you mean the 7 second i have to wait on my ssd?
Also hammer you can't even spell my name right. And you can suck it because windows 8 is just faster and especially Nvidia gpu's gain performance in windows 8 over 7.

Aside from BF4.exe has stopped working a few times. And a few random battlelog rollbacks I haven't really experienced any issues ingame aside from the obvious netcode failure.
(Running Windows 8 64 Bit btw)
another crash.

I'm using that CPU too, works perfect but Battlefield 3 already takes up 70-100% CPU Usage. Don't know how it is with BF4.
