Someone in my TS was reading some report (couldn't find the link myself) that said the update + china rising DLC will be rolling out at 1AM PST, finished by 2AM PST. So about 10 hours till we can play it
So, uh, is BF4 worth buying on sale today? I've been thinking about getting it but didn't want to pay full price.
So does China Rising release in 23 minutes or what?

Wow am I seeing this correctly? There are only 8 servers on the PC version that have 20+ people in them during NA primetime. I know most people play BF on consoles, but still. Almost thinking about getting a refund before my 24-hour timer runs out.

Ugh, started the game, got like 2 minutes into a match, game immediately freezes and will not exit.
What a piece of work. I've tried via task manager and "taskkill /f /im bf4.exe" and they both do fuck all.

You might actually want to edit the filters, it seems to prioritize distance / ping above anything else.

It doesn't show all of the servers.
If you refresh, it will show a completely different list of servers. That's why i [B]highly[/B] recommend fav'ing a server if you enjoyed it whatsoever because chances are you'll never find it again using the terrible server browser

Ugh, some of the Battlefield death sounds freak me out. There was one in the BF3 Beta (not sure about the retail game) where it was a blood curdling scream. There's one in BF4 with a nasty sounding death gurgle followed by a sound of a liquid splashing against the floor. Sort of similar to that guy that dies in the beginning of Bioshock.

Remember to take into mind the time it will take for the update, and the servers to roll over, I'd give it 2-4 hours like last time. Not to mention the DLC bit is premium only so DLC doesn't even matter to me. I'll still have to wait 2 weeks or whatever because fuck me if I didn't drop another $60 on the game I preordered.

Alright that worked, thanks. For some reason Battlelog favored servers with 6/32 people over most nearly full 64-man servers. I shouldn't be surprised.

Yesterday night I played a bunch of Locker conquest 64p to load my system and I took six 10 minute fraps benchmarks. I'll be upgrading to windows 8 tonight or tomorrow and will do the same, then I'll be putting together a video about the performance differences and other variations. I've been told Windows 8 makes a big performance improvement so I want to document it.
