Delete the xpack folder in you bf4 folder and redownload it, worked for me.

Most servers are keeping the 100 ticket limit on air superiority so people can quickly get the wins in order to unlock the gadgets (one win is required on one of them)
I've luckily found a few with 400% tickets so i can actually enjoy the game mode. they're hard as fuck to find though

Having a close game is incredibly rare. I always either win by complete domination or lose by complete domination (usually the latter, because we clearly needed more snipers)

Aha oh shit, I was using the MAV, some bloke started putting c4 on his MRAP probably to suicide bomb with it, I blew up the c4 and it exploded, got 3 kills with it
Usually when you disable explosives with the MAV they just go "poof" without exploding, not sure if c4 is an exception or what

So after an unbelievable amount of pain I got windows 8 and 8.1 installed fresh and after losing a shit ton of personal data due to a copy error I'm now ready to go.
And BF4 still just decides it doesn't want to play and disconnects 2 minutes in.

I just remembered how i got kicked from a server in BC2 after i was the top tier with 16k points (closest guy was about 8-9k, for "noobtubing" when i would just use it to blow through walls for shortcuts.
well, i remember the admins name, dethlok, and i join the server again, and totally wipe their entire side. like literally, i started back at zero, and then moved all the way up til 26K points. I got banned, but it was worth it.
I found dethlok today in my game. needless to say, he had a bad time.

Hop in transport chopper, full, fly high up above building, bail and parachute safely to building, watch as teammates haven't realized noone is piloting the chopper and blows on touchdown, set up beacon, throw down bipods, gets hit by cruise missile, repeat

So windows 8 has a higher average, and higher minimum framerate so it doesn't dip as much, but at the same time it's still extremely inconsistent with frame times. It's not in any way noticably smoother, just faster which doesn't make it more fun to play on.
If you all remembered my old post with BF3 benchmarks BF3 was line a line it was so consistent and just feels insanely better.
