Why?
I just think that having half the attachments in each category being completely random and not related to weapons to have/use is a little ridiculous. Getting three 25% XP boosts instead of a silencer or a green laser sight...
I keep finding shit for the MX4 in battlepacks. So far I have the vertical grip, JGM-4 (4x scope), R2 suppressor, Coyote RDS, and PSO-1 (another 4x scope).
can someone help me on battlepunch getting the jet fighter ribbons? o:
Practice and get good. By the time you unlock the UCAV (which is a shite item not even worth unlocking) you'll be decent at jets, and flying them will actually be fun.

Actually really useful to know: That tip about the defib...
Bowie knife and survivor knife are now my main knives. I'm going to make use of that bomber defib kill till it's patched :v:
I really like that taking off helicopter tip.
any tips on controlling jets and such then? like tight turning and such...?
Slow down for a small turning circle, but don't let your speed drop too low when going up. Get used to the 3d movement, and learn how to use the radar (it's easy to tell enemies that are turning and such, based on their radar movement). Also, for the gatling guns, there's some confusing shit going on. There's a crosshair thing in the middle, some weird circle shit going on as well, and then there's this huge circle with a tiny dot in the middle that moves all over the fucking place. The crosshair and weird circle thing are irrelevant; the dot in the huge circle is where your bullets go, so practice and figure out how movement influences that.

Getting three 25% XP boosts instead of a silencer or a green laser sight...
The main complaint I've seen with battlepacks is "Getting this specific attachment is completely luck based because it's battlepack only". People seem to overlook the weapon-specific battlepacks you start getting once you've unlocked all standard attachments for one weapon. It takes a maximum of 510 kills with one weapon to get every attachment for it, including the battlepack-only unlocks. It's no different to BF3, only now it takes more kills because there are more attachments, and it's presented differently. Also now there's the added chance to unlock attachments for other weapons without using them. It's really a straight-up improvement from BF3's system.

Plus you can sort of do an improvised airburst to kill infantry easily because hitting the use key makes it explode. Then once you complete the I'm Dynamite assignment, it unlocks the actual airburst function which absolutely annihilates infantry in a pretty decent radius from a single mouse click. It's also really effective at blowing passengers out of open vehicles and the airburst still inflicts pretty heavy damage to the vehicle, so it's a pretty powerful counter to scout chopper repairing.

The heli tips helped me so many times to take the helicopter from the drooling retards (teammates) and turn the (airborne) tides.

That's really cool, thanks for the tip
does anyone know how/if you can open the trapdoors to the roof in zavod or did they seriously make every roof camper dream reality
does anyone know how/if you can open the trapdoors to the roof in zavod or did they seriously make every roof camper dream reality
I want to know this too because I refuse to believe DICE really made a map as flawed as Zavod for Squad DM/Team DM/Domination. Those rooftops are absolutely essential to winning the map because you can kill everyone on the map with impunity, while blocking off the only access point with no effort. There has to be another way.

The wall will stop you from going anywhere else and you'll end up on top of the railing. Jump up and hit E and it will open http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ccTV6wSBXk
I just found out that the ergo grip also halves the movement penalty on ads. The battlelog bar graphs showing the improvement to only hip fire is extremely misleading.
We're rolling out new server and client updates starting at 13:00 (UTC+2) and running for 1 hour. During this time multiplayer in BF4 on PC will be unavailable. Head to the BF4 Control Room for the latest info.

We're rolling out a new PC game update starting at 11AM UTC Dec 9. We're also rolling out the new server version R15 [battlelog.battlefield.com]. Between 11-12AM UTC, BF4 multiplayer on PC will be unavailable. Dec 9 PC Game Update Notes -Fixed one of the most frequently occurring client crashes -Fixed broken collision on containers with open doors. The bug previously made grenades bounce back even though the doors were open. -Fixed a bug in Defuse mode where defenders could win the round by killing all the attackers without disarming the bomb, if the bomb was disarmed in the previous round. -Miscellaneous stability fixes further reducing the number of client crashes -Fixed side gunner jitter when aiming in attack boats & transport helicopters -Fixed some instances of frame rate drops when shooting at large Levolution objects after they have been destroyed (like the radar dish on Rogue Transmission) -Fixed broken aiming for passengers on the China Rising dirt bike -Fixed a bug where the sound when capturing a flag was not playing correctly -Removed a bug that would double save during MP round transition and SP level transition. This fix will reduce the occurrence of corrupted save files.
No SUAV/UCAV nerf? Hmm...
No SUAV/UCAV nerf? Hmm...
They will fix everything... except the Netcode.
Looks like the game is now down.
It's happening
Okay so battlelog goes 'down' during the update. Why the fuck does that involve me being kicked off of a server that's running completely independently from any of EA's assets?
because its a registered server that keeps track of your stats probably, so when battlelog goes down it disconnects you.
Seems a bit silly to be honest. Should have just made it so that if the connection is lost, the server is nostats/unranked/whatever until the connection is re-established.
where the servers at?

Anything new about fixing Siege of Shaghai crashes in todays' patch?

But how could someone miss that you can charge that, surely at some point they'd accidentally hold the button down too long and find out right?
Well it doesn't really tell you it's charging, I just thought it was some animation instead of instantly using when clicking down.
Because people are bad at reading the descriptions.
