Just had 4 rounds in a row where I went 10k+. It's so weird sometimes you do unbelievably well and run around killing everything in sight like you're channeling the spirit of an ancient being.
It might have been partially because I decided to start using the ACE 52 CQB. I die to it so many times a round that I don't care that it's broken anymore.
Server renewal soon, should I bother?

jesus fuck that gif is way to big.
Ever since I unlocked frag rounds my K/D ratio pretty much tripled
They're kind of balanced though, they absolutely wreck people hiding behind cover or bunching together but they're pretty awful in direct combat and you have to compensate for bullet drop even at close to medium range
sniper rifles are the worst fucking thing to grind ever oh my god

Sorry, you are wrong.
DMRs and pistols are.
You can deal with pistols on pistol only server, but... DMRs... christ, such underpowered weapons and they require tons of points to unlock all.

Perhaps, I'll have to try DMRs on hardcore at some point but having no scope makes it painful.
Just unlocked the cruise missile for the bomber. It acts like a TOW missile, just with a much, much bigger blast. Fucking. Awesome.
How much damage does it do?
How much damage does it do?
For the few times I fired it, the same kind of fuck-everything-within-a-20-meter-radius damage as the commander's missiles.
It's very annoying that you have to unlock this beast by first killing a few dozen people with puny JDAMs.
Personally I prefer using DMRs at close range with red dot or iron sights. Much easier than trying for headshots.
Also once you unlock the SKS it gets much easier, far better for close quarters.

I just lost my team a game on purpose because one person decided to go and piss me off. AM I a bad person?
If anyones wondering I got the bomb, carried it to our last objective and sat there until the enemy came and killed me then planted it. I did nothing to stop em.

DMRs suck at range, terrible accuracy and damage model. From what I gather, the worst thing about them is firing quickly - your accuracy goes down the drain with the second shot, and the third and fourth are just so out there you might as well be flicking paper footballs. I guess firing slower would counteract this, but it isn't that easy when almost everything outdoes you at any range and you're trying to at least suppress the dude :l

Sniper rifles were such a pain in the ass for me when I was getting the recon service star that my k/d dropped about .05 and then I switched to DMR's. I found them much easier.
I must be crazy but every time I join the server - I do very well. And by "very good" I mean something from "Ancient God" to "The one who can carry entire team".
But the NEXT round the game throws me down so hard I can't even maintain K/D of 1. Teleporting guys, my guns deal no damage, 1hitkill from everywhere, blind and deaf enemies can counter a clear backstab, etc...
So my thought is BF4 suffers from HUGE packet loss. Because this is the only reasonable explanation for all the retarded shit happening once the server starts a new round.
Hate that the bomber cruise missile only to like 50-70 damage when hitting a tank straight on and the blast radius is like max 10m.
But if you combine cruse missile and the JDAM's you can kill anything, just use the cruise missile to immobilize them then finish them of with the JDAM.
oh cool, the game breaking revive bug that was in BF3 is in BF4 too! what a great feature

M93 EMR with Acog 4x and canted iron sights is a really great rifle for the engineer I find. Can pick off snipers or use in really close range without too much hastle, aslong as you don't rush your shots too much. Plus since most pubby support cunts don't drop ammo, I find the PDW's and Carbines burn through ammo really fast, DMRs have the power to kill in a few hits and I think are much more useful.

Heavy Barrel for increased velocity and accuracy, the angled grip (shoulder stock) to increase some stability makes a good combo for DMRs I find.

Six kills from unlocking phantom tag

Just unlocked. He's going to paracel storm now.
Eh, ok maybe they are a little OP

I wish I could say I cherry picked the footage, but this is me literally running fraps for 1 minute, you can pull it off with ease. Guess I'm just natural at compensating for the bullet drop?
Sadly DICE will probably nerf them into oblivion like they did in BF3
But really am I missing something or what? Why don't I see anyone else using them?

Hbar doesn't increase velocity (well it might for lower-velocity guns) and I don't find it that useful on DMRs since their base accuracy is alright. I do agree with the angled/folding though, it helps a bunch when you time your shots right (which does make the DMRs good guns on larger maps).

I'd be so mad if I died to that
What's the best DMR? I finally started unlocking shit for the RFB and it's starting to be useful but I'm getting close to the MK11, wondering if I should just use the RFB until a later DMR unlocks

Bullet drops pretty easy to compensate for. I actually fuck myself if I try to zero my gun unless its getting to like 400-600 meters than I'll set it to 200.

SKS is good, M39 is best. ScarSV is goofy.

Everything is OP on people who stand perfectly still.

You're thinking sniper rifles, frag rounds have like one tenth of bullet velocity, the only reason I can actually see what I'm shooting at in the video is because I'm at a much higher position than the target.
With frag rounds even at 20-30 meters you have to compensate for both bullet drop and lead your targets if they're moving
Everything is OP on people who stand perfectly still.
True, and that's the biggest weakness of frag rounds, if you're at the same height and your target is moving you're going to lose even if you hit all your shots (assuming the other guy doesn't suck), and the ridiculously low muzzle velocity makes leading very challenging but so satisfying when you pull it off
They require good positioning and playing smart which is why I love them but I'm afraid they'll get nerfed because people get all pissy about anything with splash damage
Is it just me or are tanks kind of useless with the amount of ordinance everyone seems to carry. Not only that, it's guided ordinance. Even the starter Anti Vehicle rockets can lock onto them when they're marked and fire at them blindly for easy points and kills
When that diamond pops up, everyone who's an engineer pulls them out and you can fucking hear them. "Mine mine mine mine mine mine"
I'm on the other side, I fucking hate tanks and if I'm ever forced to play conquest for whatever reason my SRAW never leaves my side.
