The same logic behind giving grenade launchers to medics and mortars to machinegunners
The classes are Assault and Support, so both make sense. It's like 2142, you could pick Assault and run the defib to fulfill a Medic role, or PK rockets and the Herzog to go full Assault (except a bit more specialised since you can not carry the medicbags/boxes). [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline]
What is the easiest method of grinding those marksman ribbons?
Dawnbreaker domination
The same logic behind giving grenade launchers to medics and mortars to machinegunners
That makes total sense considering the machine gunner is a supporting role. Your job is less to fuck people up and more get them in a place to be fucked up with suppression from the machine gun, and the "oh shit" of explosives dotting the area. Machine guns aren't massively accurate for a reason :v:
Dice still treats carbines as the primary weapon of engineer for some reason. The engineer assignments require carbine kills and there are seperate PDW assignments.
What is the easiest method of grinding those marksman ribbons?
I preferred Silk Road conquest. Plenty of far away infantry to shoot at. Not necessarily the fastest way though. And be prepared to run away from angry vehicles from time to time.
How's the PS4 version of BF4? I'm a bit short on an FPS for my PS4 (Apart from of course, Blacklight) and the only other choices I could think of were a grindy F2P, another Guerilla Games lifetime writing achievement, and... Ghosts... So, is it as broken as half of GAF insists?
So I caved and bought BF4. Any tips for someone coming from BF3 and BC2? Are there any clientside optimization tricks that I should know about?

If you revive someone without charging the defibs, they will only be revived with 20hp. You charge your defibs by holding down left click. In terms of getting a better frame rate, ambient occlusion drags it down quite a bit, leaving it turned off saves quite a few frames with a minimal decrease in visual quality.
Tap firing is much more useful than it was in BF3; strafing now moves your aim slightly to the side, super important in CQB; get ready for one-hit, around-the-corner, and exchange kills; LMGs are now not useless without bipods; turn network smoothing off (all the way to the left) to see precisely where the enemies are, turn it all the way on to reduce stuttering and see where they *should* be; use the ACE guns.

The frame rate most of the time is 50-60fps, but there can be some drops in serious firefights in Conquest where there is a lot going on. In the 30 hours I've played, I have had one or two crashes, but nothing serious, significantly more stable than what I played on PC at least. It's a pretty good choice to buy on PS4. Oh and to save some money, buy a PS3 copy then upgrade it to a digital PS4 version if you can. That's what I did and I saved about £20.
Oh yeah and charge your defibs by holding lmb
Fucking finally..
Yeah that was the second "class expert" that i got (after the assault expert assignament) Someone could do the Engi expert assignament? that shit is just tedious, is the only class expert that i couldn´t do it ATM. the most usefull trick for getting the repair ribbons faster is to being a passenger in a Attack Boat in Paracell Storm, repair the damn boat everytime that it got hit by a missile and then, you get your precious ribbon x3.

Being a passenger in a scout/transport chopper is the way to go (or, you know, just repairing land vehicles like a normal engie). [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] Also I started using the ACE21CQB and I feel like I'm cheating :<

As for the Marksman ribbons, Dragon Pass (get in jet, drop off on top of a hill) and Silk Road did wonders. M98b, 8x/16x, just zero in according to how far the objectives are from you and just pick off other snipers or stationary targets. In most cases one headshot will give you a ribbon, so it doesn't take very long.
How do I play with jets? I love playing with them but I need to know how to do good and : Destroy infantry Destroy other planes Destroy generally everything. Everytime I get a jet slot, all I do is fly around awkwardly and shoot at the floor where people are sometimes, and when a plane arrives we engage in some awkward looping around trying to target eachother and it either ends up in : Me getting wrecked Me getting bored and fleeing Me shooting the person once with a missile and the person fleeing. So how do I play with jets? Also what are you EVEN supposed to do with the big planes like the A-10 and the Fantan?
Jets are not made to kill infantry, don't even try To destroy ground vehicles you're gonna have to unlock laser guided missiles. From my experience the nose gun, even the bigger calibers do puny damage against ground vehicles and make you extremely vulnerable Your focus should be destroying helicopters and other jets untill you can get some proper unlocks
I disagree, unless you're using a stealth jet, the attack jets fast 30MM makes ground targets easy. Just start from a decent distance both vertically and horizontally, get on target and hold the trigger.
Though they did something with the infantry LOD so it's very hard to see non-dorito'd enemies, I'd say forget infantry and focus on vehicles, more points anyway
I disagree, unless you're using a stealth jet, the attack jets fast 30MM makes ground targets easy. Ontopic: stealth jets are meant to be used as AA, so don't bother going AT with them. Shoot some choppers, lock onto some jets, smash into some radio towers, enjoy the game. As for attack jets, get ready to fuck shit up because holy God the 30mm GAU is great. Tears through both armored and air targets, and provided you stay on target you can severely damage a tank or IFV with a single burst. Once you unlock the Hydra rockets you're pretty much a god in the sky, you can start shitting on everything on the ground because unless the enemy has a very aware MAA you can stay up all round.
well this sucks. My desktop's processor is too old to handle all the stuff that's happening in 64 player servers, looks like I'll be sticking to 32 player servers. My laptop has an i7 so it might be able to run better, so I guess I'll give that a try.
with stealth jets I mainly go for helicopters. if I can I'll go after an enemy jet, but otherwise I just try to kite them into my spawn AA [editline]2nd January 2014[/editline] with attack jets I go for everything though.

I find that the issue with older computers isn't the processor, but the fact that they usually have 4GB of DDR2 ram, cause with the pricing of DDR2 at the time, more than that wasn't attractive.
The worst thing that you can get in Battlefield 4 is Medics that don't revive you. Even if he is from your squad he won't save you. You can save thousands but so little will save you.
People get pissed at me for not defibbing them all the time. Even though I defib every time i get the chance. I spent the first 20 hours of gameplay sacrificing myself half the time to save someone only to have them killed anyway because there is still an enemy there. Its better to clear area first id rather have just you dead than both of us.
the best thing is when a friendly assault dies and you pick up their kit to revive them.
Played some BF3 again, it's amazing to be revived again!
The only time I decide to play BF4 Battlelog just spams "Problem contacting EA Login, please try again in a while"
