It's most likely a texture error. Which is to be expected, but would be rather neat if it was meant to be a chip. But not likely.
Yay I got refunded for BF4. I had been having issues since day 1 that left the game totally unplayable so I wrote to the live chat people and I got a refund with very little coercing on my part. Makes me happy that EA at least has decent customer service.
Had myself a black screen that forced me to reboot my PC. Someone threw a grenade at my friend who was playing on my PC and then my game just hard locked my PC so that you have the constant audio loop and then my monitor just didn't receive anymore signal so I had to reboot that shit.

I've been getting what seems to be serious packet loss in-game the past hour or so, even though no one else seems to be getting it and when I test my connection it seems perfect.
Man, I'm really starting to have fun with this game! runs well on my laptop, and I get an amazing framerate by shunking it down to Low quality at 1440x900. Barely notice the difference on my tiny laptop screen.
I feel like I'm the only person that doesn't have any major problems with this game. The only shit I've experiences so far was been my game crashing after a long string of battles, usually the time where I should be getting off anyway.

What kind of spec are people finding runs the game nicely on higher settings? Without it being too expensive anyway.
I'm just trying to work out if it's worth upgrading this PC or just starting from scratch and selling this one (I think I can get some good money for it :v: it's in good shape and still runs most games on high somehow).
I really, really don't see a Phenom II x4 955BE, 8GB of RAM and GTX 460 (768MB VRAM because fuck me) playing this, let alone letting the game start.

You can handle this game. I have a 460 768mb in my desktop, and if it wasn't for my shitty Athlon II processor I would be able to get a great framerate on AT LEAST medium settings.

The beta ran like total ass after the main levolution event happened, so if they've optimised it hopefully it will run less like ass. Though I'm still considering an upgrade when I get some money :v:

Killed by admin for killing someone with a sniper rifle, and what do you know, I arrive at the spawn screen to be greeted by 5 teammates out in the middle of nowhere with beacons behind all of them.

I run an i5 3570K with 16 gb of ram and a GTX 760. It loads off a standard HDD so it loads a little slow but once I'm in the game runs great. You don't need 16gb of ram though, 8 should be plenty.
Still runs like a stuttery mess for me. Tried re-downloading again but no cigar.. Trying every fix I can

Anyone else having problems with chat lagging massively behind? It just freezes at random for upwards of 5 minutes then just spams everything that happened between to catch up. Saying something myself or using the voice-commands doesn't help it. The actual lagginess of the server has no effect on it also, everything is playing super-smooth with absolutely no lag, but the chat drags behind.
It's no biggie since usually the whole squad is in Mumble screaming at each other, but it's annoying when one person has the chat functioning normally and comments on something in it and everyone else is lagging 5 minutes behind.

I've noticed this only happens on 64, but at completely random intervals. Sometimes nothing shows up for a half hour just to appear in one giant blur at the end of the round, sometimes it lags a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes, sometimes others see my messages and respond to them but they don't appear for me for a good couple minutes. Although I have no idea how BF4 plugins work I'd imagine this has something to do with the spammy 'WELCOME PLAYER1 TO THE SERVER WELCOME PLAYER2 TO THE SERVER WELCOME PLAYER3 TO THE SERVER MAKE SURE TO ADD US TO FAVORITES AND LIKE/SUBSCRIBE ON YOUTUBE AND FOLLOW US ON TWITTER AND FACEBOOK AND LINKEDIN AND MYSPACE AND FOURSQUARE AND INSTAGRAM AND SEND US BROWNIES IN THE MAIL' plugins.

I learned that staying on the outskirts of the map and not flying through the middle you rarely get targeted and if you do let the first missile hit you. Then flare the second time if you need to.
Any suggestions for a good Attack Helicopter map? I can't remember if there are any that don't have blap blap AA tanks.
Is there any solution to the server connection being terrible? At this moment, all the game is for me is a paperweight. I'd actually try the single player but after I shut off my xbone the progress seems to commit suicide and make me restart.

AHs are generally garbage, but they're alright on Shanghai.
