Yep, even though it got some major flaws, it's still Battlefield and really fun with friends.
Every game is fun with friends. But Battlefield is fun even solo, so yeah.
It just depends how lucky you are if the game will run flawlessly or not for you.
Where do you aim when the crosshair sways to the left/right when you strafe? Do you aim where the sight swayed to, or do you aim with the center of the screen?
I have the same issue with unstable framerates. Geforce 770. I can go from 110fps while running on high/very high to 30fps at random points...not even with lots of particle effects going on, and it'll bounce between 70-110fps.
I just put it down to shit optimization of the game because I don't have that issue in any other game. Any other game the fps variation is 5-10. Battlefield 4 is just utter garbage.
I've not even bothered playing latley because my load times for the default maps are starting to take minutes, only to join a team which is losing/useless anyway and while the china rising maps load a helluva lot quicker, around 30 seconds or so. I can't seem to find that many servers with space that are running it so for now I'm just going to give up on Bf4 and hope for some patches that add improvement for optimzation.
Can you run shadowplay on high in the background?

I don't strafe at all, I know this isn't CS but still
I found a solution to stuttering issues a week or so ago, most people might already know this, but may as well post it for those that dont.
Go to Program files > Origin games > Battlefield 4 > _Installer > directx > redist. Find DXSETUP.exe, and run it. Apparently there's a bug or something where it doesn't properly install the directx support upon installing the game, which causes a lot of stuttering. Running this fixed it for me, and gave me a good 5-10 extra Fps.
what the hell Origin
why is it downloading at 3 mb/s
It even started at 15 mb/s

If it's Battlefield 3 or 4, I think they're cached on most ISPs since they're popular downloads. I downloaded BF3 as 15MB/s on a 7.5MB/s connection.

Opposite the direction you're strafing I think
I'll try that performance trick when I get home and see what happens. Shadowplay is almost perfect it just needs the ability to record to different channels so I'm not picking up tards talking in TS3. And everything as far as I know is up-to-date. Maybe not the MOBO though..
BF4 takes a really fucking long time to load too... Not sure why.. I have 8 GIGS of ram and my friend that runs it off a 7950 and regular HDD loads it nearly twice as fast as me...
You're running on SSD and still have long load times? Something is very clearly wrong. I think you might have to do a fresh install of Windows. Obviously grab all the latest drivers for your stuff first, and then reinstall. If that doesn't help then something is very wrong with your motherboard. You shouldn't be having all these issues with your hardware.

This is the only game that takes a long ass time to load. I'll try reinstalling I guess. Everything including benchmarks are on par with advertised speeds. It's got to be the installation I guess.
Has anyone else been having trouble with the China Rising dlc?
I've had it installed for a while now but I've yet to join a match with the maps..

Huh, I guess you just have my luck then, except instead of shit FPS and load times, I have rubber banding so bad that the game is totally unplayable (it's the only game I own that acts like this)
Bad company 2 is so much better than this new bullshit.

But what I don't understand was when I tried the directx thing in the BF4 folder, I ran Silk Road and it was so smooth.. yet after map change it returned to garbage again.
Really wish I got this for the PS4. Might do in the future or get the next one on there, although I'll have probably upgraded my PC by then.
Also, DayZ isn't as bad as BF4 but that's when you hit the towns, although a common problem for everyone it seems.

Worked for one map, then returned to stutter. Might uninstall and then try.

Yeah sure. If you enjoy clunkier games with even less shit to do in them.
[editline]12th January 2014[/editline]
Not to say BC2 was bad in any way, but it's hardly the messiah of gaming.
I still get the same problems when lowering my resolution scale to 25%, although not as bad but the problem is still there.

Are you playing it on console? If you are then you have to use the server browser to play it rather than choosing that quick play option as that only seems to ever find vanilla servers.
Bad company 2 is so much better than this new bullshit.
BC2 was better in terms of quality, but not in terms of features
BC2 was better in terms of quality, but not in terms of features
Yeah, BC2 was pretty polished, but oh dear God, the lack of spawn protection. You could literally camp the enemy in their spawn. And other stuff like bullets all having the same velocity, your death not being nullified when you got revived, and a bunch of other things that we take for granted now.
I didn't notice the spawnrape because I was playing mainly Rush, since you had to shoot a lot more boolits to kill you actually had a chance to arm mcoms, now in BF3/4 you'll just die trying
Tried using Battlelog from Firefox, not Chrome. Weirdly enough, the game was much more playable with the odd stutter here and there, rather than it happening constantly. Frame rate didn't dip as much, but it felt a little jerky sometimes despite being over 60 fps. V-sync also helped settle it a bit..
Why did changing browser help? Before you mention the v-sync, I tried this when I was launching from Chrome and there was no difference, but seems to help now?

Holy fucking shit what. I just checked and for some odd reason when I installed origin to a partition on my SSD it STILL installed to my HDD. Holy shit how did I not realize this... Reinstalling to the SSD to see what happens.......

I never really noticed a difference in load times when I had the game on my SSD.

Did this and I don't know if I'm turning insane but I think it improved my loading times.

While that won't help much with FPS issues, it should help the load times a bit.
While that won't help much with FPS issues, it should help the load times a bit.
Okay, load times down, now why can't I run on the 770 official bf4 profile and have shadowplay running... Hmmm. Maybe it's a bug with shadowplay I guess.
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
Kinda wish it would record 30 fps since youtube cuts it down anyways.
your death not being nullified when you got revived
Never understood that honestly. Why should it. The ticket is returned every time, but why death should be nullified. You kinda still died, enemy still killed you. Death stat is literally useless, it doesn't affect anything. It doesn't substract from your score. What's the point?
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
I fixed the problem with game not seeing China Rising installed, got ready to play, entered a server. And then suddenly I entirely lost interest in this game, so I closed it down and now thinking about uninstalling this broken mess.
Someome, help, suggest a server in Europe where it's fun to play. Please.

Now, don't dog on me if I'm wrong on this, but doesn't the ticket only get deducted once someone is already past the point of no revive?
[editline]13th January 2014[/editline]
Also, going to lol at people still having shit teams.
Group up with friends. Me and seven other guys from my clan in a 64 player server have plenty of times flipped the odds in our teams favor on the backs of two four-man squads against an entire enemy team while the rest of our team were probably as useful as that one guy who has nothing better to do than tell Freeman to reload.

You couldn't refuse revives in BC2. It only added insult to injury that you could die time and time again to rambo revives and wreck your KDR through no fault of your own.
Although typically after about three rounds the server became a ghost-town from ragequitting due to how hard we rolled all the Randoms on the other team. Recent pubraid a few hours ago ended in the server being an 8v3 despite starting out with about 50 or so players in the sever when we joined.
