These bugs don't happen very often that people make it out to be, the only thing that I notice from my usual gameplay is bullshit kills, bullets coming out your gun in the most fucked up trajectory and bullets not doing any damage especially when you're counting on the shot to do it's job, I'm trying to get back into aggressive sniping so this shit bugs the hell out of me
I'm considering buying Second Assault. Is it worth?
is this game still buggy as shit, or is it actually worth buying now?
If you ask me the game is pretty bug free at this point but I suppose your mileage may vary. The most major bug that's happened recently was the crash when entering the machine gun slot on a tank but that's fixed now. There's still the odd hit detection or netcode screw up because DICE sucks at netcode, but that's about it.
I still wouldn't pay full price for the game, and I'm saying that as someone who really likes and plays this game quite a lot. Still, that's more because I think very few games are worth $60. If you can pick it up for $40-45 I'd say it's fair game.

if you don't already have it i'd recommend bf3 over bf4 if your focus is infantry combat, generally much more responsive and the guns are more accurate

I already have BF3, I picked it up for $5 during amazon's valentine's day sale. I have yet to play it though, waiting to get my new computer.
I'll probably get BF4 later since I see lots of copies for $20 on ebay.
I consider myself lucky to have only paid half the price from the Black Friday Sale.
Know what would be cool? If DICE gifted people Second Assault as an apology.
Every time I jump out of a heli in any SA map I get run over by it. gg
and i'd surely swap oman for canals, I want my goddamn TDM back
The BF4 DAO-12 is amazing. Reload speed is laborious but semi auto and feels like it has better range than most shotguns.
In regards to assignments, some aren't saving and some are just dumb. If I go out of my way to get a kill assist ribbon by winging people with my pistol and don't get it after a full game of TDM, something si wrong.

You need to get the 10 kills and 2 assist ribbons in the same game.

BF3's gunplay is shit, sorry.

God I love the GOL, so good.
what can trigger a battelog ban?

Atleast in BF3 the sniper rifles aren't ass and I can actually use it in CQC

Is that a bad thing?
Is that a bad thing?
YES, there are so many moments where the bullets don't go where I aim, I'm not even surpressed and it comes out way off target.
Is that a bad thing?
if you want to get all "b-but fairplay PTFO omg fucking noscopers", don't

Battlelog admin
usually happens if you post shit on the forums, get reported by a lot of players and/or were hacking/statpadding
I'm crashing like every 5 minutes now.

IF you wan't gunplay like this go and play something more aracadey like COD. While BF4 isn't exactly realistic, it's certainly not an arcade style game.
So I wanted to see who has the best KD/R in my city.
And ofcourse it's a guy with 60 hours of Recon.
His engineer score is 0, and his support score is 235 :v:
BF3's gunplay is shit, sorry.
What? The guns aren't even drastically different besides hbar accuracy, it's just that the servers run much better.

I was kinda referring to sniper rifles so aiming where I want my bullets to land is pretty damn important, if they don't then what the hell is the point of trying to long snipe. I don't care too much for automatics as the bullet hose the guns are should make up for some misses. And I hate CoD, I haven't touched those games since CoD4. I love the way BF3 handled sniper rifles

Can't believe you people. Every time a bullet misses I shed a single tear.

Second Assault made me realize that I don't miss any of the maps from Battlefield 3.
I never saw the appeal of Caspian. To me it epitomized the "playing in a postage stamp" feel that BF3 level design so typified. It's a small map desperately trying to feel bigger. I think the layout is good, but everything is just too close together. Play-wise, the wall adds an interesting dynamic, and the extra access routes to the point on the hill are welcome improvements but it's still Caspian. It's not a bad map, but nothing to get excited over if you ask me.
Battlefield 3's Gulf of Oman only made me miss the Battlefield 2 version of it, and the BF4 remake is no different. Gulf of Oman still feels smaller than it did in Battlefield 2. It's not a bad map by any means, just not anything to write home about. The sandstorm update in BF4 does change it up quite a bit though, so that's pretty cool. I like how the map goes from longish engagement ranges to very short. Again, not a bad map, just not great.
Operation Firestorm was one of my more well-liked Battlefield 3 maps because it was one of the largest and spread out. The large open spaces made for good tank combat and the close range factories were good infantry and mixed combat. It was basically the Goldmud Railway of BF3. I like Firestorm, but I didn't really miss it once BF4 came around. Firestorm is pretty much identical to the BF3 version, just with more set dressing.
Fuck Metro. I hated Metro in Battlefield 3 and I hate it in Battlefield 4.
Overall, I'd say only get it if you really liked those maps from Battlefield 3. Being a Battlefield player since 1942, 3's maps were the least noteworthy in all the series to me so I'm finding Second Assault is very "meh".
Why do I still dont have my veteran battlepack anyone else have this issue or do I have to contact origin for this is starting to piss me off now.

The Veteran system has been broken ever since they introduced it with BC2. I never got any veteran pack or status or whatever you're supposed to get.

I can't agree enough with this. All the BF3 maps were just 'good.' They played well (most of the time), were kinda balanced, and both teams played the same role. However, this made them very unfun. Oman is a great example (although not in BF4; I firmly believe that US should start with the beach points and RU with city points) of what I love in a BF map: the teams should be evenly matched but play different roles (one clearly attacking, one clearly defending instead of both starting out in stationary bases for some reason), the map doesn't need to be perfectly symmetrical in every way, and there should be enough flags to make capturing them a surefire way to win the game rather than holding onto one that gives a team a fuckhuge advantage over the enemy. The maps were popular in BF3 but that doesn't mean they were fun, which (arguably) is the most important part of a videogame.

Apparently release date for the veteran pack is ''early March''

I think a great example of what you're talking about is BF2 strike at karkand. The main reason that map was the most played BF2 map was because of the unbalanced nature of it, and that made it much more fun. The US side didn't have any points, and had to push into the city to capture points and turn the match around. There's none of that in BF3, it's always a race to get the first few points and then just a dance around the outskirts capping points while it's a big shit fest stalemate in the middle. I miss that BF2 dynamic, and even in 2142 that existed
