I don't have premium or DLC, but i'm getting tempted by Naval Assult, Mainly depending on how Titan Mode plays out
Every single "mixed" Second Assault server is just 24/7 conquest with Firestorm or Oman almost only. Rarely Caspian Border might show up, and even more rare is Metro.

Titan mode carriers confirmed for stationary AA manned by players

These make me uneasy, they remind me I those creepy underwater anti-ship mines

update is only out on ps4
BF4 is already explodey enough. I'm not super excited for another form of grenade spam, especially in hardcore mode. Also, the auto sniper is going to be just as bad as all the DMR spammers who can't aim.

I don't know if it's been mentioned in this thread yet but the new patch also increased the player level cap. It dosen't show up on battlelog yet but you can go past 110 now.
Also they changed the main menu background with a Naval Strike themed one, it looks really rad.

Because attack choppers totally needed more counters.
Because attack choppers totally needed more counters.
I feel like that's a scout heli counter, attack heli doesn't have to be near the ground to do damage
Options menu is fucking terrible... I mean, really DICE? No option to turn off shadows and lighting? No way to turn down the graphics severely. Bioshock Infinite runs perfectly on low on my laptop, this piece of shit should as well.
P.S. Anyone know of a no shadows hack?

That manipulates lighting and Shadows.
Battlefield 4 is a resource intensive game, all becuase you run Bioshock Infinite on low doesn't mean you can BF4 stably.
Do you meet min system reqs for BF4?

Mobile GPU's and Battlefield 4 don't usally really get along. Or maybe even CPU.
Doesn't turn them off though. Literally no reason as to why they would not include the ability to turn shadows off.
Game devs no longer give a shit about supporting old hardware unfortunately
And for some reason 30 fps is considered playable in a multiplayer shooter
Doesn't turn them off though. Literally no reason as to why they would not include the ability to turn shadows off.
They had a reason stated somewhere but I can't find it.
iirc they did it so players that turned it off wouldn't have the advantage of seeing players much more clearly when they should be in a shadow.

I can't think of a single game that's come out in the last three years that lets your turn shadows off completely

Hasn't really "come out" yet but DayZ does.

I run BF4 at mostly High settings on my laptop with a solid 40fps. Even running shdowplay I get 30fps while recording.

I came from a PC that I had to play with 20-25 fps on most games so 30 is quite playable by my standards.

I wouldn't consider it playable in MP just because of how big of a disadvantage it is for aiming. You could be waiting up to 33ms to see your movements, it's a tiny number but it's nasty.

Purchase Second Assault or wait for Naval?

Depends on how much you liked the maps of BF3. I'm passing personally
They're okay but they made caspian smaller for some stupid reason.

Nice, my laptop runs medium at 30-40, shadowplay 25. I'm surprised how well the 660m handles the game with shadowplay.

This is next generation gaming, running on next generation tech. Gaming is moving forward, not backwards. Next time see if you meet the system requirements of a game before complaining that you can barely run it.

That's impressive for a 6 series! My laptop is running a 765m - it's performance blew me away to be honest, I wasn't expecting so much power from a laptop GPU.

There's no reason to force everyone to use intensive lighting.
