I just got kicked for using flashbangs on a no-explosive server because they actually got a kill. Is this real life.

How can there even be such a thing as a "no explosive" server? Isn't that a serious violation of DICE server hosting rules?

I think they threw out that version of the ROE with Battlefield 3 because it also banned knife and pistol servers and those are allowed now.
No explosives are usually found on Metro and Locker and while I can see where they are coming from, accidental flashbang kills really shouldn't trigger a kick.
It was also on locker

That thing is much bigger than a megalodon

I did find a server which allowed ''accidental'' flashbang/incendiary kills. I took advantage of this by placing C4 and letting the flashbang explode it.
No regrets.
Does anyone have the same problem I do- where nothing is 'clear'? In the distance, objects and enemies and foliage blend together and I simply can't tell what I'm looking at. It makes it difficult because I need an extra moment to figure out what's there. Doesn't help that the game is full of BLOOM and SUNS and CRAP BLOWING AROUND IN THE WIND.
Seems crazy, but it's hard to explain. I know people hide and take cover and all that, but not even BF3 had this feeling of... lack of clarity. Does anyone experience anything similar with BF4 or do I need glasses? I'm going to try fiddling with my FoV and turning down Motion Blur, etc.
Also, any Aussies on here wanna be battlelog friends and have a few games? Don't really have many friends who play BF4 so I'd like to be able to squad up with some people I can communicate with.
I'm starting to believe I'm shortsighted myself too.
On Dawnbreaker there was this tank right in front of me. I couldn't tell if it was friendly or not, it was just a black blob near the bridge. I realized it was an enemy tank just before I got blown up by it.
To be fair, the game is not very clear on telling friends from enemies. Teams don't have unique looking uniforms. At close range, friendly tags can be hard to see - not to mention, if your target stands between you and an objective, you've got a clusterfuck of HUD elements and you can't tell what's what.
And when friendlies call for ammo or health, their FRIENDLY NAME seems to be replaced with a grey icon, which really makes them look like enemies.
I can recognize the class silhouettes fairly easily, but I still get fucked over when the name of a squad member 500m away appears above the enemy 5m in front of me. Squadmembers don't really need to be visible 24/7, especially since they're usually all over the map.

It might help if you turn on color blind mode. It makes the icons stand out more.
So you can win carrier defense with a 0% health carrier as long as you get the bomb planted on the enemies B MCOM. Just lost a game to this after utterly dominating the entire game. DICE, please.
I'm glad I'm not pretty much the only person who revies unless it's Locker or Metro:

I think that's fair. You shouldn't have neglected to defend your carrier just because you had such a big lead. I actually won a carrier round this way because we had a solid defense and a small strike team was able to attack the enemy carrier and arm the last objective at like 1% health left.

It allows for some super clutch moments.

TheBrokenLaw can attest how clutch it was.
Was rolling around in this APC looking vehicle yesterday, shooting people. An enemy APC and Tank corner me. I wipe out the APC and then bail and run behind a pillar. The enemy driver then BAILS OUT of their tank and try and take me out in a gunfight. I popped them motherfuckers, pop pop. Took out an APC, the APC's driver, and a tank driver all by my lonesome.
It's not really an achievement though cause I'm pretty sure we were all noobs.
How have Dice not realized that the current defibs suck ass.
Badger is at it again.

Holy shit this game is so fun. I was in a really good squad and we worked together as a team. I just hate how I have nothing unlocked. I couldn't revive team mates, I could just throw medpacks at them and vainly hope it was enough to keep them alive.
Engineer is so good, but I don't really know how the LAW works (Is that what it's called?). I scope at tanks and shoot, and sometimes it seems to follow them and other times it doesn't. Does it even have a locking mechanism?
The airburst is awful, I wish I had an auto-tracking AA weapon. So glad I bought this game though, just spent the past hour in a really intense game.
So, what does the camo do? Turn you half-invisible? If it's literally just a camo, then it seems a bit lack-luster for that achievement
I can't wait to see 200/200 pistol kills and 3/20 jet kills next week.

But the enemy carrier should be blown up. It was sitting at 0% for literally the entire duration of the bomb plant as missiles flew into it. We didn't neglect our defense; we held them off for exactly as long as it should have taken for their ship to explode, which is the whole point of the game mode.
I won a game last night the same way and I couldn't even tell who won at the end because both ships had 0% health. Had to check Battlelog.

The way it says it a second time is amusing.
But anyways, a password? So this on is a special kind of assignment that you don't just get when you play as a premium?
Yeah you have to go to leaderboards, scroll all the way down and click on the little skull under the top performances. If you haven't unlocked the first phase yet, you might have to enter "bump in the night" when it asks for a pass code. Then click on the skull and enter the "epic dream worlds" when it asks for another passcode.
Using voice commands to communicate is pretty silly on PS4
"THANKS" (after being repaired)
"AFFIRMITIVE" (from friendly engi)
No squad members seem to use VOIP, it makes me sad.

The LAW isn't a guided missile, but once it comes within about five feet of a vehicle it'll lock on and "seek" it. otherwise it's just a normal rocket launcher. It also does shit damage unless you have like five people all shooting at once. and yeah, airburst is terrible.
Does the SRAW have tracking (Without laser designation)? I fired it at a tank in Silk Road, but even as the tank moved out of the way, the SRAW tracked it.
