I'd also wish there would be first 100 ranks being different signs as in BF3, but then after rank 100 you switch to colonel mode and go for rank 1 colonel to rank 100 colonel. Having 120 as max rank seems a bit small imo.
Rank 110 through 120 are like 500k points to get to the next level, while the other ranks were like 100k points. Really wish the AS VAL had a 6x scope for it like it did in Battlefield 3. Sniping snipers with it was too much fun, and you could just hipfire it for most other occasions. Still kind of possible with ACOG, but you have to switch the fire mode when you want to to do it now due to it firing 2 shots really quickly.
Pfft. Playing as a commander, I ask my team to blow up the skyscraper on Siege of Shanghai. They do it, woo. Ten seconds later, I was kicked by an admin.
Helicopters are too tanky in this game, damn. It's like even if you snipe one with an AT Missile, it'll just fly away and 'recharge'. Or it takes 3-4 AA Missiles to shoot one down, and if the pilot is good, the combined use of flares and hiding make it impossible unless you have 2+ launchers or an Anti-Aircraft Vehicle (for the AA guns). I've even hit Helicopters with the Tank gun (default shell) and they don't go down. I get they should be easier for noobs to use (and I'm one of them), but that also makes them indestructible in the hands of an expert.

Since the attack chopper got buffed, all it needs is a good pilot and thats that. I was in a round with a guy who went 31-3 in just an attack helicopter on Siege of Shanghai. I tried doing that once and it's safe to say my score was the reverse of his.
I was using the AA Rocket thing that requires you to lock on and hold. It is supposed to disable in close to mid range. I would shoot these fucking choppers, only to have them lose rotor function, but they'd still be fit enough to fly away. The bastards would then remember that I'm in the area and fly off somewhere else to harass. It's really dumb and AA weapons should be stronger. The AA vehicle though is just fucking awful. I hate it. Awful as in it's too good. Can't do shit when there's an AA vehicle on the ground and you're a pilot. It's cray
The attack helicopter feels so slow I can't fly it.

Holy hell, if you pause for half a second during a full burst, you can kill the AC130 with one burst. I suppose it helps that it's a slow moving target
It's ridiculous how powerful it is. I can get sniped from across the map by the AA vehicle on Golmund Railway map. It's frustrating, especially when your team mates are being fucking awful in tanks, and are instead hunting infantry or going toe-to-toe with enemy tanks, instead of trying to flank them or get to the AA vehicle and wipe it out.
Mobile AA makes attack helicopters irrelevant. Don't bother flying them unless there's no MAA on the map. The only reason scout and transport helicopters still kind of sort of maybe work in maps with MAA is because they can repair mid flight.

It's cray
AA Vehicles are absolute badass at destroying helicopters. I played on that Dam map with one, and every time a helicopter crossed the mid-point of the map, I'd either shoot it down or force it to go back. They couldn't provide CAS at all. I even got to shoot up a couple Soldiers, Patrol Boats, and Jets. Eventually died because a Jet kamikaze'd me after I shot it down the first time, it crashed trying to kamikaze me before, then did so killing me as I was preoccupied with shooting other things.
Disabling a helicopter shuts down its tail rotor, making it spin out of control (in the wrong direction I'm pretty sure).
Disabling a helicopter shuts down its tail rotor, making it spin out of control (in the wrong direction I'm pretty sure).
Are you sure? 'cause I constantly "disable" helicopters and I have not seen one spin out once. All they do is just fly away to repair and then come back out.
If the pilot does nothing it will spin, but its not THAT hard to control it after its been disabled
If the pilot does nothing it will spin, but its not THAT hard to control it after its been disabled
Especially if you use the Gyro Stabilizer in the Upgrade slot, which most people do.
Bought this for PS4. I take they still havn't fixed the single player save issues, as my campaign progress is never saved? I just want the multiplayer weapons, and then I'll never touch it again.

Some have had luck with that, enabling them to continue throughout the campaign. Just be thankful that we didn't have an abysmal remake of the battlefield 3 co-op player to unlock weapons. :v:
found a hardcore server that's bolt snipers/knives only my dream come true
Does anyone have much experience with the HE Shells? Do they do more damage or have a larger blast radius? Obviously they're bad for fighting Armour, do they make up for it with fighting Infantry?
Does anyone have much experience with the HE Shells? Do they do more damage or have a larger blast radius? Wait HE shells are better at fighting tanks than AP shells? And worse at killing Infantry? Dice what the fuck!? Do you even know what HE means? Why are you developing games like this if you don't know what the fuck I can't even.
I'm assuming they are going for something like a HEAT shell which is designed for AT
snip, Breen is right considering how HEAT shells work, they would not be very good at killing infantry. a normal explosive AP shell would be a lot better at that.

And then when you throw in maybe active protection and reactive armour its nearly impossible to kill. Plus, the 30mm is a infantry murderer, extremely great for snipers and rooftop soldiers. Great against boats as well, and harassing tanks.
Seems they are rolling out a fix for the death shield with the latest server update (saw on battlelog)
I'm glad that they seem to be responding much quicker to these bugs and glitches. Once the fix for the death shield rolls out, I may decide to play again. :v:
What's a death shield? [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] I'm picturing the grim reaper with a riot shield.
What's a death shield? [editline]29th April 2014[/editline] I'm picturing the grim reaper with a riot shield.
It's an invisible box on top of dead revivable players that blocks rockets and grenades.
Man I wish there were High Explosive shells. I thought the upgrade path was like AP Shell: Average vs Infantry and Tanks, Average speed HE Shell: Good vs Infantry, Bad vs Tanks, Slowest speed KE Shell: Bad vs Infantry, Good vs Tanks, Fastest speed But now that I know it's just a linear upgrade path of AP > HE > KE, it's not so interesting or fun sounding anymore.
