I haven't really noticed a change. Related: Reinstalled Battlefield 3 to play with a friend and holy shit it's so much better. Some of it is the more dated graphics but also the gunplay is just so much more satisfying.
Yeah, I'm playing fine. I've even managed to get the hang of the G36C, that thing's pretty fun at med-long range. Irons aren't too bad either.
I haven't really noticed a change.
Are you talking about the newest patch? If so, have you activated the new netcode setting? It's not on by default.

Finally ready to build my new rig. Going to be recycling RAM/PSU to save money... but the biggest changes are Going from AMD6870 to GTX760 and AMD Phenom II X4 965 to i7-4770
dont get the 760, if you want better performance get the 670 or 780 if you want to pay more.
I'm going to ask since I dont see how going from the 760 to the 780 would be good.. $200+ for basically double the CUDA cores? or am I missing something here.
It feels so much better. It's much more responsive and feels so much "crisper." Very good patch. [editline]3rd June 2014[/editline] It's night and day. I keep running into situations where I know I would have died in the old netcode but instead the shots count fast enough that I can react fast enough to survive. I've lost count of the number of times that's happened.

Its time to wait till next payday. I'll investigate it more before then.
So you are supposed to set network smoothing to 0 for best results right? At least that's what I've seen people saying. The game seems to feel a lot better with it at 100 though.
FPNA (or others) assemble. We're getting a group together
Okay, I'm coming. Your leader will grace you with his presence. [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] Hardcore? Fuck that shit let's play normal. [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] Holy cow in a handbasket, Facepunch North America dominated a server for 7 rounds in a row.
Alright yo. That was one hell of a good time. [editline]4th June 2014[/editline] If you got in when we played the first server... thats an 8 game win streak going currently
it got a little too close when they took that one objective last map though
Doesnt matter because Facepunch still went train on those fucks. A win is a win.
it got a little too close when they took that one objective last map though
The enemy team was using all their assets and we weren't. Some vehicles sat unused at our base. Still, we managed to outsmart the zerg.
i know i was kidding lol. good shit
At one point I think I had a 1400 point combo going. Anyway, I hope I wasn't too bossy as squad lead.
At one point I think I had a 1400 point combo going. Anyway, I hope I wasn't too bossy as squad lead.
someone has to be the lead. no such thing as being too bossy if we're winning
It's subtle, but with the High-Frequency option I definitely feel a difference. I've been able to pull some ninja moves that I would have just ended with me being dead in the last patch.
Finally I can actually run away and hide. Or not get shot when I'm in cover. Can't believe it took them this long.
has anyone encountered any negative effects of having the high frequency option set to high?
Now I just wish people would die from being hit with my M39 EMR... shouldnt take 3+ hits
has anyone encountered any negative effects of having the high frequency option set to high?
I've been having a blast with the new update. It's taken my tank whoring to a whole new level.
has anyone encountered any negative effects of having the high frequency option set to high?
I consider my internet to be pretty crap. My download is okay but any sort of upload tanks my bandwidth and my ping goes to shit. That said however, I set my option to High and had no issues, pretty sure I was rocking with a ping of 26 or so.
So I was in the test range messing around with the settings, trying out colour blind mode, motion blur etc, changing graphical settings (I now get a solid 70-80fps with my GTX460 on medium) and I noticed that I had never changed my ''Field Of View Scaling In ADS'' I was wondering how many of you have it turned off? I played a few rounds with it off, and yep, you get a bit of zoom but it feels like you get quite a bit of mouse acceleration. Especially if you use a bullpup weapon it feels like my mouse is sitting on a block of ice with it turned off when I aim.
I just got China rising but I feel like the air superiority mode is a kinda wank. Anyone with this dlc feel the same? Just feels like once you have someone on you there's no way to shake them off
Air Superiority has always been a joke, at least to me. I'm glad they tried to mix it up with Guilin but it's just lockon management simulator, especially considering how unreliable TVs are.
Can't play for more than 30 seconds without freezing.
