also keep in mind anything that isnt a support cant really suppress for shit
[editline]17th June 2014[/editline]
m249 in hc on relatively large maps + no sniper server = try hitting me when you're fully suppressed and have 200 bullets going all around that rock you're hiding behind
any class technically can suppress with DMRs, infact DMRs are really good anti sniper weapons now since they just completely fuck their aiming over.
[editline]17th June 2014[/editline]
btw, new beta drivers from nvidia for BF:H
Only reason I'm still playing Hardline is because of the Sawn-Off.

Too bad I can't aim for shit with DMRs.
There's not enough zoom in the scopes and if you get close enough to hit a moving target, you're probably dead before you get the three shots to the body.
DMRs are just too accurate that even the smallest mistake can cost you a life.
I also don't see any bullet tracers like sniper rifles have, making shooting far targets feel like gamble.
In close quarters even if you manage to suprise an enemy, they usually manage to turn around before you get to kill them.
Hipfiring makes the accuracy too unpredictable to actually hit anyone even at a really close distance because the bullet can just miss the target by a few centimeters and the recoil will do the rest.

Here's a video of me spraying all my bullets at an enemy squad with M249.
Though I didn't kill all of them, it was great to just hold down the trigger and watch the enemy run.
I'm getting crazy with this gun, it's just so great to see bullets flying.

Impressions of BF:HL
The vehicles ruin everything.
Its more of an arcade shooter

Oh gee. I usually play on a server that has a sniper-limit of 8 per team. And I used to think that's bullshit.
"Used to" because I played on a Rush-server without any limits on snipers and most of the rounds were anti-fun unless you were a sniper too. Peek around a corner? There are 6 snipers staring at that spot with a guaranteed, debt-free headshot coming your way. Want to rush a point? You'll go deaf from hundreds of sniper-shots barely missing you until one hits you.
In the server where snipers are limited, it's almost always like the fun action you see on trailers and the people who frequent the server seem to have grown to love it because the sniper-limit is very rarely even reached. Everyone's running around in squads and tossing ammo and reviving and generally just playing the objective.
I'm personally insulted by Hardline
It feels like a cash grab and it shows hardly any creative ingenuity
It sorta irks me that Battlefield Hardline went the route of, "LOL BLACKMARKET! CRIMINALS HAVE AUTOMATICS!!!" and "LOL POLICE HAVE FULL-AUTOMATIC AND ZOOKAS" instead of having a system where the Criminals and Police have to use civilian market weapons, but can extensively modify them with civilian accessories in order to make them psuedo-military.
For example... Everyone starts out with semi-automatic, bolt action, or pump action weapons. These weapons are your basic AR-15s, SKS's, Remington 870s, and old school WW1/WW2 Bolt Actions. As every player starts out with weapons that can be purchased in a local gun store, you can also purchase modifications at gunstores which allow you to upgrade your weapons to psuedo-military grade. One example being for AR-15s, is the ability to modify your weapon with a bumpfire stock, like the SSAR-15.

After working your way up the levels, everyone eventually starts to have access to actual military grade type weapons, but before they actually start getting access to these weapons, they become fully trained on the civilian variants. As things like full-automatic fire would be a midway on the modifications unlock for the AR-15, AKM, and SKS.
On top of this, it would probably be in the best interest to have a Black Light Retribution type system which allows players to go full-bore in modifying a weapon to their play style. The current civilian gun markets around the world are pretty keen on having almost every firearm akin to a barbie doll for grown adults. Thousands of accessories, thousands of modifications.
Had they taken a more BLR approach for weapons, they could increase the playtime of players, tenfold. As each weapon would require players to extensively play with it to unlock all the neat gizmos and gadgets for it. Not to mention it would be far more interesting to use a Mosin Nagant with a PU scope over, OMG SO WEALISTIC MILITARY WEAPONS.
Just now I was going through my unlocked guns and saw that one of my pistols had a flashlight equipped but in the accessory list it wasn't there, not even in the locked state.

Wait until BF4+Premium is on sale and then buy it on Mexican Origin.

Never underestimate flashbangs. I once killed a guy with it on pistol-only server.

VPN/Proxy
If you use Chrome, there is the addon Hola. Go to the store through the Mexican option while signed out of Origin, find the game you want and add to cart and proceed through the purchase until it asks you to sign in to your account. Disable Hola and then sign in and proceed as normal. You'll be paying in many, many pesos.
Pretty sure I encountered someone hacking. The guy was around 50 and 0 and I encountered him and managed to knife kill him. Then I checked the scoreboard and he didnt gain a death. Now Im fairly certain you cannot be revived after being knife killed, so...
Hardline just got updated with the newest netcode update from BF4.

And it's alot better than it was ! :D
Did they stealth add a new feature in the game in the last update? When I was playing just now, something popped up about receiving some rep or something and it asked to pick one of 2 perks to get right that time and both were something to do with spotting, don't quite remember exactly. Is that new or is that just something I never saw in vanilla BF4?

If you're talking about Hardline, it's something unique to Hardline.

I still don't get what it is
is it a permanent increase? temporary?

I think it lasts for as long as you don't die, or until you pick another upgrade.
