Imo Hardline is waay too messy and cluttered as of now. The whole game is basically a slaughterfest without any emphasis on the whole "cops and robbers"-theme. I want to see smaller servers, more tactical decisions and a gameplay more like Payday and not just Battlefield with re-skinned characters. It has potentional but it's really not worth the full price right now.
Then its not like Battlefield, is it? Whole point of Battlefield is large scale warfare.
Then its not like Battlefield, is it? Whole point of Battlefield is large scale warfare.
Yea that's why Hardline shouldn't be a game in the Battlefield series at all. You can't have large scale warfare with tanks and shit in a bank robbery. It just doesn't fit in.

Yet.
Like someone said on YouTube, when you start to have things like armored helicopters with heat-sealing missiles, it's when the whole cops and robber theme breaks down. Also it seems like the robbers spend MORE money on equipping themselves for the heist than they'd make from it

I'm thinking of something in the spirit Pandemic's Mercenaries series which was all about getting cash from war.
So i finally got into hardline beta took long eneugh. Being a owner of every single battlefield game on release to date. This one I wont be buying even thought I love the shit out of heists and urban combat. Something feels very wrong in this game and even thought its "fun" I dont think id be playing this for longer than a week. Dont buy this people this is sad and feels almost the same as BF4 except it feels worse in terms of gunplay and animations this is a crooked piece of money grabbing shit like ive never seen before. Fuck you EA for ruining a perfectly good series. This should have been a new IP! not under battlefields name. Not that the series has being going well anyway with the NO mod support of today's standard and premium content instead.

Or what I'm saying is that cops and robbers share the same weapons, WHICH IS ABSOLUTE FUCKING BULLSHIT. (It's annoying enough in BF3/4 when I can't have Russians with Russian weapons, and Yanks with their own.)
So I just went on one of those stupid "no-cussing club" servers, and we discovered the hard way that mustard was a ban word. Still trying to determine how condiments killed the admin's family.
Maybe because it has 'tard' in it? I unno.
Hardline, certainly not a DLC. [sp]Not my video, and audio volume kinda low[/sp]
BF4 feels kind of weird, like it's not a pixel perfect game. Like you could reduce resolution to 50% and it wouldn't really matter.

Oh DICE... They were on such a high from BFBC2 and the Vietnam expansion going into BF3 and imo, it's all gone downhill ever since
... because it was good? it had an excellent 9/10 story and the mp was fun as fuck as well.
Not only that but it introduced console gamers to battlefield, so I think more people are familiar with bad company than older battlefields. I mean, technically the first battlefield game I played was Bad Company because I was mainly a console gamer at the time, then when I got a better computer I went back and played BF2 and 2142. There was Modern Combat, but I dont think it was as big a hit as Bad Company was. [editline]25th June 2014[/editline] I do hope if they make a BC3 that they go back to the goofy sort of vibe that BC1 had as opposed to the taking the piss out of CoD vibe that BC2 had. also am interested to see them revisit US Army stuff as opposed to Marines which are always the focus of the numbered games.
^fun fact: bf2 has a console port that came out before bad company

psh, reading is overrated
I played the shit out of modern combat on my ps2 online. It was a pretty good game.
I had a friend who had Modern Combat on ps2 and I went over to his house and played it a few times, but BC was the first Battlefield I owned.
Modern Combat was all about the suicide jeeps and suicide helicopters for me. The gunplay wasn't my thing since I was spoiled by BF2 on PC, so I just made it my mission to only use suicide c4 vehicles in MC. I loved some of those maps, can't even remember their names, but that one Middle Eastern village/town map was the best.
I just bought this off Ebay and had two questions: Did they ever really fix the performance problems that were at release? Also would anyone like to add me on origin? I figured it'd be the best way to get into the game. My origin: Quasimodis
Does anyone else have a hatred for mobile AA? 90% of the time the people using them sit at the edge of the map and it just makes me visualize a really obese person just sitting on a couch armed with stingers and a mingun

Finally level 120 in BF4. Ding!
I'm guessing this is also the thread for BF3. I'm looking for someone who can finish coop's on hard diff. with me, feel free to add on steam.
Decided to go check out BC2 since it's on sale and a lot of people got it. People nostalgia WAYYY too hard over BC2 and 2142. Rush in BC2 is fantastic, and titan mode in 2142 is great, but if you actually go back and play these games and compare them to BF3 and BF4 the gameplay doesn't hold up nearly as well. Hit boxes are fucked, weapon balance is fucked (M2 CG + Extra explosive damage anyone?), vehicle balance is fucked, sound isn't as good etc. etc. People keep acting like 2142 and BC2 were the most amazing games ever to be created when something goes wrong in BF3 or BF4 but in all honesty they're not nearly as amazing these days as all these circle jerkers keep thinking it is

There's more 'oomph' to it, it sound more 'explosive' even if its fake, I rather have that. I find BC2 maps just nice, its not too huge like BF3 like Caspian Border, where there is so much unused space, while BC2 felt just right. I still think its more fun, people were more together, there is more teamwork, at least I felt that. The vehicles weren't too much or little, it felt just nice.
To those with access to CTE, how do the higher magnification scopes (3.4x, 4x etc) handle now? Are they more viable?
