Just started playing BF3 the other day. Game is decent. The whole Battlelog tether and the game having no actual front end of its own is not. Whoever thought that was a good idea should be beaten.
My game keeps freezing on loading screens, any idea how to fix it?

I use the "low" mesh quality for built-in hallhacks.
Infantry has a higher LOD priority than some obstacles, meaning you can spot infantry behind cover under the right conditions. To be honest, I've never found a reason to have my LOD on anything but "low" since BF4 does an excellent job of displaying stuff dynamically and it significantly improved my frames per second. It does also a good job of reducing visual clutter at a distance.

RMB on your game in Origin Library, Game Properties, choose x86.
Also before a random patch, my Steam overlay wouldn't work with x64, only with x86.

Sure it's nice that you have the option to do stealth but it looks like in that scene (5min mark) you're forced to shoot your way out so it seems rather pointless mechanic to have. You might as well have gone guns blazing from the start. One thing I'm glad about, is that you can choose what path to take, I hope they get rid of the endless amount of 'on-rails' BF3 and BF4 had.
Also, when are they gonna get someone who plays FPS games to do these videos? Was he shooting at the chair intentionally?! (At first I thought he was trying to show off some kind of incapacitation shot, rather than a shoot to kill, but looking back no, he was intentionally shooting the chair)

It's unpopular opinion, but one I agree with, the campaign does look better than the shit we got with BF3-4. I still have yet to see a Miranda Right be read in any of the trailers though.....

There's several odd things about the singleplayer video. His shotgun ammo count (4 + 3) changing to (8 +1) at 7:20, and him gaining loads of ammo for his Hk45C. Not to mention him not dying at 11:40. But, I'm just nitpicking here.
Looking back, I'm interested as to how the ''freeze'' mechanic works. Is there a limit to how many people can you hold up at one time? Will it work on high value targets, or will you just get shot in the face. I wonder if you can do a whole mission going round handcuffing people.
The freeze and non-lethal stuff was interesting and I liked the banter between the protagonists and the goons. If it's a game where you can go through mostly arresting people that would be cool but I some how doubt it. Overall looks like a marginally more interesting campaign but nothing exciting.
Since BF4 is a steaming pile of shit that can't run for more than twenty minutes without crashing, I decided to uninstall and reinstall.... The uninstaller crashed....

I have literally never had more problems with a video game than I have had with this video game.

I've only ever crashed once, and that was because my second hard drive starting to spin up for some reason and caused my game the crash.
I don't see how everyone is having so many problems with this game.

BF4 singleplayer is shit, I only played it to get the multiplayer weapons and dogtags.

No, I really meant texture quality but if you have everything on Ultra it means it's on ultra too.

There was this guy that literally dominates the air and ground using a attack jet. Rank 130 too.

And the most horrible thing is that no one doesn't give any crap about it. Tried saying things in the chat, nobody was listening. Great! The guy in the jet is getting away with it in the whole round. He also used this tactic by diving and then going straight up very high in the air to prevent anti-air rockets. Funny thing is, when i get in a jet, i always get locked on, or getting shot by an AA gun.

On rare occasions I find pub squads who actually try and work together and it's a beautiful thing.

Shit like that annoys me.
Some people are indestructible in helicopters or jets, want to lock on to them? they'll just fly behind a mountain and come back 2 seconds later to kill you.
and they always go like 60/0

I guess that's why I tend to play infantry only game-modes.
Also that fact that I suck total ass when I'm driving any vehicle. I don't want to be that guy hogging the tank when I know somebody else can do a better job than I.

taking out a tank is easier than a jet, though. that's why i raped as engineer in bf3.

Scout helis and jets make it really hard to like the maps that have them.
Any groups I can join to play BF4 with over Mumble? I miss the Squad coordination and wrecking shit up.
