maybe on consoles, i'm fairly certain it's pretty much dead on pc.
I might go back when those guys release that standalone BF3 server host thing.
BF3 isn't dead yet. but a huge part stopped playing when 4 came around. i still prefer Bf3 though
Did you do the ribbons first, then all three specific weapon kills in a single round?
yes?
Ouch
Is it just my game but why can't I change the graphics options when in online matches?
I'm getting a lot of stuttering for no reason, especially when shooting/seeing enemies. Reducing the graphics from ultra to low has no effect whatsoever.
If you still have the problem, try disabling the page file. Had the same and that solved all my stuttering problems
Is it just my game but why can't I change the graphics options when in online matches?
It's just you; bf3/4 change graphics settings very quickly and smoothly for me.
If you still have the problem, try disabling the page file. Had the same and that solved all my stuttering problems
How do you disable the page file? Also disabling hyperthreading worked for a little, but I'm still getting spikes, and it's mostly from the CPU. For example, I was playing Firestorm perfectly, then it switched to Whiteout where it started getting really bad midway through the match.
So I bought a 6 keys-rollover keyboard because I can't fly jet with mouse Still one key short for optimal performance but it's better than my old 3 keys keyboard :v: [editline]15th December 2014[/editline] Also I can't afford mechanical
I don't have any problems flying with kb+m - I played a lot of BF2 with random people I met once and became good squad member with, and learned how to pilot helis and jets there. I don't like jets at core so I'm complete crap at them, but I quite like piloting helis. Too bad I always never get a chance to be in one, they are almost always occupied.
I can fly alright in anything, but it's the aiming that kills me. Can't hit shit in a jet, and I'm only a little bit better in attack choppers. If anything, I'm best put to use in the secondary gunner positions.

You get a better feel for depth and you can actually gauge and adjust according to your tracers more easily.
I have a concrete preference for hardcore battles.
I have a concrete preference for hardcore battles.
Then you're shit out of luck.
theres no hardcore or rush servers on SEA :(
Went back to play some BFBC2 too see how it fared against the newer games. Holy shit the hit detection is BAAAAAAAAAAD. Like really, REALLY bad. [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] Also your model bouncing around like it's an earthquake everytime a firecracker goes off 1km away. The gunplay is good but honestly there are too many features missing in the game that we take for granted nowadays.
Went back to play some BFBC2 too see how it fared against the newer games. Holy shit the hit detection is BAAAAAAAAAAD. Like really, REALLY bad.
There were 7 separate instances of "hitbox tuning" or something to that effect in 7 different patch releases. In the end they just gave up and made hitboxes larger when you are moving. Everyone talks about how much they love Bad Company 2, and to be honest I enjoyed the hundreds of hours I played of it, but the consistently terrible netcode was a constant turnoff. I enjoyed patched-up Battlefield 3 way more.
Okay, so I just remembered/figured out that moving while ADSing COMPLETELY destroys your aim, like 3 times as much as in BF4. Just standing still while shooting has helped my score tremendously. Also, Vietnam still rocks. [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] Okay, gotta be honest, the server-side hit-detection is still not ideal but it seems like my problem really was just moving while ADSing. [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] Don't think I can play vanilla BFBC2, I prefer the jungle decor. [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] Anyone wants to play some BFBC2: Vietnam with me later?
Don't have vietnam, only got BFBC2 base
Well, we could still play BFBC2 vanilla then. [editline]23rd December 2014[/editline] Money shot. [vid]http://a.pomf.se/plrhbb.webm[/vid]
BC2 gunfire always sounded so wrong to me
Decided to buy BF4 even though it crashed instant on launch when I had it with Origin Gametime. Somehow it works now, the only problem I'm having now is a huge memory leak. I found some people saying to disable NDU in Windows to fix the problem. Is NDU important? My source: http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-4/Possible-solutions-INFO-REQUEST-NP-Pool-Memoryleak-PC-only/td-p/1951455
I don't know why, but BF4 is once more rather unstable. Was dipping below 60FPS on Lockers and I couldn't get 50FPS on siege of shanghai
BC2 gunfire always sounded so wrong to me
it only fucks up if you single shot auto weapons since its a sound loop. BF4's sound is boring as shit because all the guns sound exactly the same (which i know its more realistic but fuck is it boring).
Shotguns just ain't what they used to be. [vid]http://a.pomf.se/ddddoi.webm[/vid]
Did you try full choke and aiming?
Did you try full choke and aiming?
My point still stands, though. [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] I mean, I don't think anyone can deny shotguns were much more reliable in BFBC2.
My point still stands, though. [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] I mean, I don't think anyone can deny shotguns were much more reliable in BFBC2.
I'd deny it. I thought every gun was less reliable in BFBC2. So many instances of putting the circle over someones head from 6 feet away, pulling the trigger, hearing the PLINK sound of their helmet, watching their face explode but not getting hitmarkers and getting sprayed down.

Anyway, I still prefer BF4 overall. It's mostly the shift in class balance that irritates me a bit. [editline]24th December 2014[/editline] Eh, BFBC2 does get old after a while. I'll reinstall BF4 on my new PC.
