What VPN's have you guys been using? My VPS is in germany now so I can't use that (which is what I used to use)
How often do you guys experience server crashes? not just "BF4.exe has stopped working" but the server will lock up for everyone.

Try using softether and pick your choice of vpn
omg, I just discovered the war tapes audio in BF4
the u-100 sounds even better now hnnnng
speaking of sound, the sound glitch only seems to happen in Golmud for me, what sense does that make?

Turns out instead of pissing about with other software, you can just set up Windows PPTP VPN to connect to
vg1246888307.opengw.net
with username and password: vpn
a bit slow, but it works: just fire up origin, then battlelog, then attempt to launch the campaign. When it's launched, it's activated and you can close the game and the VPN and play to your heart's content
What's the FP verdict on this one?
On one hand it seems new, fresh and has voip.
On the other it's really a rehash and has optimization issues.
For anyone that has crashes with amd cards try this new driver from amd. Its supossed to fix the crashes some have had. 13.11 Beta 8

I really want something in between War Tapes and the regular audio mode of Hi-Fi. All War Tapes does is makes every sound ever play at 100% volume. I'd like things louder, but the problem is that with everything at 100% volume it becomes hard to tell what sound is coming from where. It'd be good for a video, but it's a big hindrance when you're playing.

I've played about 20 rounds and experienced 5-6 server crashes, as well as 10+ crashes of my own.
Has performance improved since first round of beta? It ran like shit on my computer. But then again, I was using a crossfire config.

From what i can tell, the FPS and jittering issues are basically gone completely.
The new issues that have shown up are constant crashes for many, and servers entirely. I prefer constantly crashing over not even being able to shoot anyone in the first place from shit FPS but it's still not that great.

just after i finished typing that i joined a server and crashed within 30 seconds.
wooo
Do you work for DICE or something?
Because last time I checked, and I'm repeating myself, there's a gamemode called Conquest Large, which employs bigger map layout, designed to accommodate for 64 players. And Operation Lockdown supports this game mode. It's not like someone tinkered with server and allowed full blown 64 players on that map. It's DICE basically saying this: "we designed this map and this layout for 64 players, and we included it on official game servers, we take full responsibility for that".
And that gives me the right to criticise their half-assed effort to make all maps playable in every gamemode, with any number of players.
"Isn't designed for 64 players", what kind of excuse is that? If it's really not designed, then it only makes it worse - DICE included a gamemode on a map that doesn't support it.
making something compatible and optimized to grant capability to do anything doesn't mean that's its intention, if you honestly think that allowing all maps to play all modes and fill to the same max player cap is game breakingly awful design you're just looking for something to bitch about.
God forbid they didn't want people to whine about arbitrary "best played with only these settings or less" restrictions, if they designed every level to play every mode properly they'd all be boring reskinned copies of one design

Or they did it so server owners can change their settings without restriction

By the way, is anybody else crashing on Siege of Shanghai? Everytime I join a Shanghai server I crash about 5 minutes in to the game.
I haven't had so much fun since like 2007 BF2, this is great. Wish I got higher fps but I'm not spending money on a new GPU just for this game
For anyone who is curious, here is my 2+ year old workstation I built mainly for professional use and some CS/TF2/SC2.
i7 2600k @ 4.0
8 GB DDR3-1600
64GB SSD Windows 7 Boot, 1.5 GB 7200rpm game drive
HD 5770 1 GB
I play at 1280x720@120Hz all low settings & 95 FOV. I play massive conquest and get 65-95 fps depending on what's going on. Now and then it stutters to 44 for a frame or two but it's not bothersome. I'm sure Windows 8 would help but I'm not switching just for this
Playing this game with old drivers seems to work better than the new ones
Just bought BF4 + Premium for $70 usd...Thank you mexico
I hope it runs better than the beta
i don't understand why this video exists
Because some people like the music that Battlefield has.
lmao what the hell does the flare even do, someone tossed it in my face and I just stared at it just fall to the floor before I blew him away
Ah damn, game keeps crashing when trying to load a checkpoint from Level 6
Because some people like the music that Battlefield has.
oh, I wasn't sure if it was just showing the loading screen or if it was mocking the loading times.
Couldn't wrap my head around why people liked the loading screen so much

Bugs aside, I'm enjoying it a lot. DICE clearly learned a lot from the expansions to BF3 as their map design has really improved. In BF3 vanilla I really only liked 3, maybe 4 of the maps. Here, I have yet to play a map I dislike.
Levolution adds a nice dynamic to it as well, and people don't seem to be abusing it.
I'm enjoying the campaign alot more than 3's so far.
That and the game looks stunning on Ultra. Usually getting 30-60fps + on an i5 2500k (OC'd to 4.5), GTX 770 2GB, 16GB RAM
Multiplayer seems to run a lot smoother then SP, I usually maintain 50-60fps on most maps
the only really anoying problem is that I'm getting a "client disconected" error and losing my progress sometimes
now brb as i unlock ergo grip for the m416 for the 3rd time
carbines are a little op compared to the regular engi weapons it seems. i wish dawnbreaker didnt have like 20 vehicles on such a smallish map.
Game starts skipping like I'm losing connection, then I leave and find out I lost all my progress from a huge ticket game....
Haha, random crashes. Nice one AMD
Haha, random crashes. Nice one AMD
Definitely isn't just AMD. I'm on NVIDIA and I'll crash with no explanation as well.

I always seem to crash when I join a server that one of my friends are on.
I just downloaded a 677MB patch. What's that about?
