Ok this update did a bit more than just fix PB, its a lot smoother now, fps still tanks at times but I'm not getting much stutter also the console no longer flickers like it's z-fighting the hud buffer anymore.

I'll give it a go then. My Framerate was always smooth as silk but that stuttering was about to give me a seizure
Yep its certainly playable now somewhat, 44-120fps rather than 23-63. Still getting stutters but nowhere near as bad as they were.
Seems like there is less stuttering, yet it's not totally gone.
Decided to switch from 720p to 1080p and game is somewhat smooth, as it was before on 720p (1080p was totally unplayable...holy crap, slideshow due to fps jumps).

I think the skyscraper didn't fall down right...
by the way the update made my fps even worse
Still stutters pretty bad for me, only now I also crash every other death
Am i the only one that thinks there's WAY too many tanks on the map for the size that it is? If you take out the vertical aspect presented from the C point skyscraper and look at it more or less on a flat plain, at any given point there's going to be 3-4 tanks, an APC or two driving around and the jeeps. The map really isn't big enough in my opinion to warrant having that many vehicles - here's hoping they just tossed in a bunch of vehicles to have people test them out and see how they reacted to their handling etc.

If I remember correctly total map vehicles for conquest large:
6 MBT
2 LAV
5 Jeeps
1 Attack Boat
4 Skies + attack boat Jet skies
2 Attack helicopters
2 Transport Helis
I actually don't mind them.
On typical server, where spawns of vehicles takes a while, you barely see 3 tanks at once later on, there are many corridors anyway, so you can bypass these MBTs and ambush them from behind (2 shots from RPG, normally no tank driver will be able to react if you surprise him)..
I want moar maps...I'm terrible at these open world maps.

In nearly every match i've played on conquest large, one of the teams loses a tank or two to the other team because they will jump out, get shot and then someone else jumps in. Then you have one team driving around with more tanks then i think both teams combined should have and it feels like it's far too much.
Plus, tanks are incredibly fast in this game compared to BF3 and it makes C4ing them a huge pain in the ass since as long as a tank driver just keeps shifting back and forth and moving slightly a recon will never be able to have enough time to sprint up and actually place some C4 on the bloody thing

I personally don't mind them since it adds to the chaos on the street. The fun in all of it is the pure adrenaline rush you get going from objective to objective dodging fire from vehicles both on the ground and in the air. Then you add in the snipers on the roofs and it makes for quite a challenge maneuvering on the ground.
My friends and I worked together completely as a functioning squad and didn't do half bad. We managed to move from Objective "E" to Objective "C" (Pre-Collapse) and capture it. Getting there was quite a challenge because Objective "D" was a choke zone of vehicular battle mixed with ground skirmishes inside the arcade. This made that route over the bridge a no-go.
Instead we opted for a more sneaky approach. We followed the building line on the opposite side of the river up until Objective "D" was only a 150 meters away. We then sprinted across the street one by one jumping down into the river before anyone could really notice us. When one person got to the other side that gave the next person the all-clear. Everyone ended up making it across safely without even drawing a single shot in our direction.
Once we made it to the lobby of Objective "C" we held the ground floor until we received support on the roof from a helicopter. Once the enemy's attention was drawn to the helicopter and other squad parachuting onto the roof we rode the elevator up. This gave us a great advantage to completely tackle "C" without much of a struggle. The attack happened so quick that it changed the tide of battle. We held the skyscraper for quite a while until the opposing team decided to bring it down.
Even then though we still stomped them because the added chaos of the building collapsing meant our team could instantly cross the bridge and capture Objectives "B" and "A". Essentially this last fatal decision of the opposing team lead to us completely dominating the rest of the game and it drained their tickets pretty quick.
Just downloaded this update, hope it's playable now! I'll monitor my cpu/gpu performance and post it back here.
Edit: Performance is a million times worse now. Stuttering 50 times more often. CPU usage at 100% still. GPU usage all over the fucking place. What the fuck is this.
Seems like my 2500k is bottlenecking me pretty hard, even at 4.5GHz. Although the game will probably be optimized a little more before release, I don't think it's going to be enough for me to run the game as well as i was hoping to. Should i get an i7 2700k, or a 3770k? I don't want to go haswell, since the performance improvement is minimal, and I'll need a new motherboard for that. I have a Hyper 212+. I think I can probably get the 2700k to 4.5GHz without going over 80c on the temps. I don't think I'll be able to get the 3770k that high without delidding it though.

I have an i5 3570k and my cpu is bottlenecking the game hard, maxing out at 100% usage 99% of the time I'm playing.

Honestly i just think overall this beta is a complete mess. It's optimized worse than the BF3 Alpha was, the map choice was fairly poor (the tropical storm map or whatever would have been a MUCH better choice), the weapons are unbalanced on a Call of Duty level of ridiculousness, it's just not very good in my opinion.
On wednesday I will hopefully see if Beta will fry my laptop or not. i7, GeForce GT 645M with 2GB, 8GB RAM.

You call that a bottleneck? Amateur, take a look at my Phenom II 945 x4. Thing bottlenecks the shit out of my 7850, and I can't even upgrade it because I'd have to upgrade my mobo as well which is linked to my Windows key. Fuck OEM, and fuck Dell for duping me.

I know your pain.
The only thing stopping me from putting an AM3+ CPU in my motherboard is 1 pin.
Does anyone feel like the first battle rifle is underpowered? Insane recoil + 3 shots to take someone out.

I'm not sure I believe you
Every other weapon has barely any recoil at all

The DMRs aren't really any good. I want to like them, but an assault rifle just does the job so much better and quicker. You can probably get by if you know what you're doing but it's hard to come up with a situation where you wouldn't have been better off just using an assault rifle.
The ACW-R feels like the exact opposite of what it was in BF3.
Ah, didn't notice the BF4 thread. Also, I'm loving my Scar-H.

Well the DMRs are for accurate direct fire for ranges just beyond normal rifles, with the people who use them acting as a Rifleman before acting as a DM. I can see them being useful with an ACOG and not a FlashlightScope staying back a bit, but not camping way back. If you're going to be in the thick of things, fuck it or slap the Iron Sights on it. I really enjoyed using the Mk 11 with a Holo in BF3

Chances aren't good; new patch still stutters and runs worse than before for me.

Whats the point of keeping them then in this state? I loved running around in BF3 beta with a SVD/MK11 and just dropping everything with two shots. I hope they will buff their damage.
