Planetside 2 also had to support [b]hundreds[/b] of players on single servers, and sometimes hundreds in areas smaller than BF4 maps.
Planetside 2 was perhaps less optimized, but it was more [b]far[/b] more balanced than BF4 and it didn't crash nearly as often as BF4 is.
BF4 has been the biggest waste of money that i've spent in months to be honest, it's basically unplayable with the hilariously bad netcode issues, constant crashing (both on client and server side) and abysmal weapon balance. I'm just going to wait until they release some patches that make this game actually playable - in the mean time i'm going back to BF3

im just so glad they just made carbines completely broken and doing what feels like instant kills all the damn time. why even use the lmg like ever, hell why use anything but assault rifles and carbines.
Gotta love dem SP glitches that take away all player control and restarting checkpoint does jackshit so you gotta replay the whole fucking mission.

So true, I take the SRR-61 into the Shantytown on Flooze Zone and wipe the floor, throw on a FLIR 2x sight, canted Irons, and straight pull. Then walk through like a god. Went 27-4 last game and got my SRR-61 Battlepack that way.
Is there a mechanism to stop AT missiles hitting helicopters? Quite a few times now I've hit a helicopter dead on with an AT missile and it's exploded w/ hitmarker yet done absolutely nothing
im just waiting till they do what they did on bf3 and nerf the living hell out of carbines on the engi class, same with most assault rifles.
Only after the recent patch have I started having crash issues in MP
I got less crashing.
I need to test MP; with the latest patch I've only crashed once in SP; before was each 60 seconds. maybe the earlier campaigns are crashier?

I'm feeling quite lucky, for me it hasn't crashed once and I get a solid 30 - 40 FPS (on High). The only problem I've actually had is launching the game. I can't start the game unless I open a server from Battlelog.
Shorty 12 gauge feels great. Not enough ammo to make it worthy primary, but it's a pocket 870 you can pull out at any time to suprise motherfuckers.

I have an ATI HD Radeon 5800 Series and it runs quite well, average 60 fps with everything low, I was actually surprised.
On another note, I just can't play Siege of Shanghai, it crashes 2 minutes in.
I really, really want to play the game because I think it's fun but it crashes almost every other fucking match.
Holy fucking shit the glock 18 works well in this game!

If it is a hd 5770 then you should be fine, i ran bf3 on high with that card.

Thankfully there's a lot of great pistols on the way though, so don't worry about it.
Tip btw, play domination as support w ammo box + claymore and use a 100%+ xp booster to make it less of a grind and more fun, since you'll be getting new pistols twice as fast.
Don't know if the shorty 12g counts towards secondary points though, worked towards shotgun last I used it.

I've been getting something different. It's mainly with the voices but it sounds really loud and distorted as if the voice actor is standing next to a megaphone or something. It's not all the time but it seems to happen in both MP and SP.
Also I like on the second campaign mission you have to get off the stairs at a specific floor but I carried on going up to where you head later and the door was a jar. I looked through the door and saw nothing but a void...I promptly headed back downstairs and thought it best to stick to the paths which the script says I should.
So much for exploring for collectables.

I panicked when my character started glitching through the roof of the elevator like in certain games if you jump in an elevator you can kind of see through the ceiling...except I wasn't jumping D:

I plopped everything to low so it looks like battlefield 2 almost, just so I can get the best FPS possible for MP until nvidia make some better drivers and Dice make the game more optimised
oh god what the fuck, I played in this one game forever as faget recon using shitty sniper rifles, game crashes and the server gets full so I can't join so I decide to join as spectator, game ends, I don't get my unlocks. seriously god fucking damnit.
Playing as recon makes me feel like a FPS-virgin, I hate it.
Seriously if sniper rifles are your favorite guns you are a douche, for both teams.
