how is it a pain in the ass?
imho its better coded than steam, doesn't use much resources, boots up fast
etc
I know it's your opinion, but still had a good laugh from it.
This crosshair/hitmarker disappearing bug is pissing me off, I keep thinking my lead is off but it's just the hitmarkers not showing up

seriously EA what are you doing this shit again for lol
So were people with Premium supposed to get a gold battlepack today? because I never got one.
Never got a Veteran battlepack either.
I'm premium and I didn't get my battlepack.
Yeah, that's what I was thinking honestly, but I just want to get everyone's opinions, how bad is it really?
I'm enjoying it despite the flaws. I don't have any crash issues and rubberbanding is alright on hardcore (where people die before they even have the opportunity to netcode time travel their way into shooting back), so that doesn't leave much to worry about.
Also a huge personal thing, but I'm really fucking glad weapons aren't team-restricted anymore.

That's not really the rubber banding issue.
The rubber banding issue most people are talking about is basically the exact same issue in BF3, which they patched out. It's most apparent when you're flying in an air jet and it randomly just tugs you around, pulls you back 30 feet, stops you completely etc.
The netcode is incredibly poor, worse than BF3 (which is an achievement), and there's some hilariously bad bugs (see the QBU-88 silencer bug) and an unacceptable amount of server and client crashing happening.
The game was rushed, it wasn't tested properly, and a lot of players aren't enjoying it because of this greedy shit
Seriously, I think the only thing holding me back is Origin. I have free games on it that I got with my graphics card and I haven't even played them yet. It's just such a pain in the ass..
Couldn't agree more, I have Steam for ALL my games but i have to use Origin for BF and UPlay for AC... Why can't they just stick to Steam?
Oh god no, it's that time again... Locker obliteration...
Have yah seen this?

dat c4 one..
I know it's your opinion, but still had a good laugh from it.
What he said is true though. Origin has had a snappier UI and less resource utilization than Steam for a while now. I'll grant the store layout could use a lot of improvement though.
origin is competent, it does what it should do but that's it
so don't let it deter you from buying the game
Advanced obliteration locker tactics: find staircase, camp the fuck out of it. Just look downstairs and wait for enemies who want to take advantage of the mlg 420 sniper window (enemies coming up run into your weapon, enemies coming from above just get glued to the window and won't even notice you).

do i need to remind you what happened on the humble origin bundle launch, it was down for 2 days from the load
Not sure if it's the Zavod map that's giving me stutter/lower fps than usual or it's because my computer has been on for a while and has stuff loaded..

Chances are it's the game since they hardly tested it and it's optimized like a piece of shit

Yet it runs better than BF3 at higher settings (at least for me).

Good for you, you're one of the lucky ones.
For the majority of the people there's still moronic stuttering issues, rubber banding, CONSTANT crashes (i've experienced literally close to 100 client crashes and 20+ server crashes at this point), sound bugs, graphical issues where you can see through walls / texture pop ins, crosshairs and HUD disappearing and reappearing randomly, etc. etc.
The game should still technically be in a beta state, not sure how they thought releasing it like this would be acceptable

Yeah, and Steam goes down every time there's a sale and sometimes when there's a massive game release.
Neither program is anywhere near perfect.
Jesus Christ the singleplayer credits go on forever.
I just want to get my M249 :(

Do you have Windows 7? I upgraded and runs smooth now, except Zavod although it was chaotic on a 64 player server

You don't have to sit through the credits, you'll still get the gun if you quit.
I'm pretty proud of this one.

What are your guys favorite server configurations to play on? Do most of you just like Conquest Large @ 64 players? Or do you like TDM @ 16?
Only crash I have is DawnBreaker which crashes up every 5 minutes or so.
Other than that, games running fine in ultra.
(Win 8 on an SSD, AMD Phenom Black 3.4 quad, 16gb ram, 580GTX 3gigs)
Netcode seems fine, Normal mode is still a joke though. A man shouldn't live after being sniped in the chest and pistoled 3 times....

Conquest on anywhere from 24-48 players depending on the map.
Save perhaps for Golmund Railway and Siege of Shanghai, I find 64 players to be a bit too cluttered on these maps. Especially Operation Locker.
So, I don't own the game yet, but I have a question.
The AUG A3, AS VAL, and the Bizon PP-19. How are they? Those are some of my favorite looking guns, so it'd be nice if they were good :v:
EOD Bots are so much faster, and do more damage. It's fucking hilarious.

Not unlocked the AUG but the AS VAL and Bizon are not in BF4.
