I'm adoring the game except for two things. 1. This boss is just... bad, my entire squad ran out of ammo and died because he just wouldn't go down. 2. I think the graphics menu doesn't actually do certain things, my game almost looks too good despite turning a ton of the features off, as in I need to push more performance out of it

If you actually hit your target he will eventually go down.
Aaah, finally got to play KF2. Here's my thoughts: Weapons really feel like I'm shooting a weapon, really makes me want to be able to feel the gun with my hand, touch it, feel the recoil. Enemies are much more better and life-like, stalkers are now nearly invisible. Environments are huge and dynamic making dependency on flashlight a thing sometimes. And yes - camping in one place gets you tons of enemies at same time. But it is still killing floor. And finally reloading weapons can be interrupted by switching, but somehow cannot be by throwing nades. Also loving reloading shotguns - if empty you load chamber first, then the magazine. Here's some nasty things. Environments though are dynamic sometimes seem silly and unrealistic - you can punt that chair around, but this chair? Oh no, it will stay there forever and won't clip with you ever. Blood splatters look great on most surfaces but not on snow, IRL snow would get soaked in blood becoming brighter and less reflective, but in game it stays "on top" of it, still dark red and still shiny. Reloading weapons is cool, but it seems that making shot while interrupting reload makes gun shoot upwards, which is "realistic" as if you pull the trigger while reloading but doing so is stupid, how about first click - interrupt, second - shoot? Fleshpounds sometimes appear (I mean when you see them for the first time) already enraged, and I don't think that's supposed to happen, makes you shit your pants EXTRA hard especially if there's two of them. In general FPs got slightly weaker, sometimes they punch floor before charging at you giving you room for extra shot, and in general are somewhat clumsy at navigating the level, but that applies to all enemies. Hans. Fuck that guy. Just fuck him. He's overcomplicated compared to Patriarch. Patriarch could: shoot rocket, shoot minigun, melee, be invisible, retreat and heal. Hans can: shoot gas grenade that explodes too soon, has too big radius and deals too many damage making it really hard to avoid in tight corridors (you may not even see one coming too), shoot smoke grenade (in phase 2?), run around while shooting, melee at close range with ridiculous damage, "grab" players and suck life from them (while they can do nothing at all). Hans makes me feel that there's no 11th wave. We survived 10 waves, now it's time for shit. </rant> Also, clots grabbing is bullshit. Taking aim to headshot FP with double barrel only to have my aim readjusted to some little shit is not funny.
Played my very first game on Solo Normal to see how well the game ran on High settings (125 FPS average). Ended up going all the way and taking out Hans all by myself: [t]http://i.imgur.com/Frfftsw.jpg[/t]
Jesus, the [sp]clot mother[/sp] artwork in the artbook is horrifying.
Reminder, I did make a KF2 FP group so if anyone wants to use it feel free: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/FPKF2 Anyone can post announcements, allowing people to add them and join their games.
-snip thought you said bloat-
Just tried soloing HoE, got to wave 8 :v: which was about 6k exp. But farming suicidal is pretty good for exp, already level 12.
Just saw the Steam pop-up and did they lower the price or is it just lower because of Early-Access? Because I'm sure some weeks ago the price was announced at around 30€ or something like that but it's 20€. Not complaining, now I actually have money to buy it right tomorrow :v:.
Jesus, the [sp]clot mother[/sp] artwork in the artbook is horrifying.
Ah, so that's what the thing in the biotic lab tanks was.
I've never considered myself good at KF1, but excluding Hans, KF2 seems to be so much easier. I was able to nearly beat wave 8 on hard as a new commando, while I've never been able to do the same in KF1. Not to mention the game lacks that 'easy' difficulty, but launched with HoE. I feel like once we get some news perks, the game is going to go through a huge difficulty ramp for all but the boss wave.
So, uh, what was with that one guy getting upset at people calling the boss a Nazi, stating that he just isn't. Okay, good, it's not like there are like six pages of Nazi references in the artbook.
Sorry for being poor, but can someone upload some art from the artbook? I'd love to see some Scrake art.
Turned it to 1000 I hope my pc doesn't turn into a titanium smelter
Its not like payday 2 where bodies have a minimal impact on performance since KF2 corpses are still objects you can interact with. I set it to 150 at first and I noticed I started lagging. You probably have a better computer than I do though.
i died and told the remaining 3 guys that "they got this" jinxed the fuck out of them and hans pulls off a double kill and wears the last guy out :v
I bought KF2 for a friend and the steam store page said it was thirty bucks, but I got a bill saying it was sixty. Is there a way for me to ask Steam to look over it, or am I stuck paying thirty extra bucks for a friend?
Beating Hans solo the first time I made it to him (even if it was only on normal) felt damned good. Boomstick is now a mandatory buy for me regardless of perk. I guess having everybody kitted out to the max by the third wave was pretty bad, but the weapon prices make kiting the last Clot around the map while you gather all the free goodies look a hell of a lot more appealing than I'd like it to be.
is anyone else having sound issues? for some reason the sound stutters on my end, especially when i start shooting and then the game itself lags a bit, i turned settings down even all the way to the lowest (it still looks pretty good for low settings) and even then there's still this sound shit.
Game plays great for me so far and is great fun. Looks great as well. Only thing that sucks is that having Texture Resolution set to Ultra makes my game stutter like crazy, even though general performance doesn't go down. Other than that, I can usually reach 60 FPS in pretty much every scenario on the highest settings with my GTX 970. Apparently though, for one of my friends, the game runs like absolute shit unless he disables the dynamic lighting via the configuration files. However, that pretty much breaks the game, as maps are too dark and the gameplay itself pretty much relies on the dynamic lighting system. He has good enough specs to run it, so I don't see what the problem is. Maybe it's because he's on a laptop and instead of using the 840M that it has, it uses the Intel integrated graphics, but I would think that would still even meet the minimum. Or maybe TW just needs to further optimize the game.
Fun game still needs quite a bit of optimization. Edit: sounds would mess up

Is there a FP group up?
i, for one, like the new levelling system
so i don't really seem to mind the boss as much as other people seem? he just requires you to be on point with your shots and while i did need to end up running around the map looking for AA12 ammo by the end of it as he wailed on another guy but for the most part i think it's a very fun fight [editline]awsevrioj[/editline] he's also fucking terrifying he chased me down a dark hallway and i turned back to look at him and got friggin alien isolation vibes

I can just about get this game to run on my laptop if everything is low and the resolution is set to 320x200 It's like I'm playing something from 20 years ago, I love it
your pc just sucks
Oh thank you... I meet the requirements. fuckin jabroni.
Fuck me, my GPU is kill and I don't think I'll be getting one for atleast half a month or so. Even then there's the hurdle of actually buying the game, me being in Argentina and all. This is the first game I've ever been actually hype for in my life :v:
So . . . has anyone else found that this game's inherited KF1's inability to display your recent servers? I've managed to get into two games, and neither server is showing up in my history.
I don't mind the new boss, I just hope he's unfinished. He's very boring as is. Same as the old patriarch. I was hoping they'd improve on the boss idea by making them a little more interesting than "SHOOT BIG GUY A BUNCH"
