I generally don't like him, his gas attacks are cool but overall he is probably my only real disappointment with the game. Somehow I keep seeing people saying that the game is identical to the previous, yet the AI changes alone makes it feel entirely different
i think medic grenades should do something else to zeds than just inflict damage over time seems like a grenade effect more fitting for the firebug maybe have it increase damage done to the zeds instead?
One thing I am irked with is how you have to restart the game to change almost any graphical setting. Other than that though I'm really impressed. I know some people have said the whole clot-grab camera jerk is a bit jarring but imo it's nice, a lot of the time in KF you would get surrounded and not even realize it until you try moving around only to find you're being grappled by a ring of clots behind you. At least this way you get notified of it and can break away before you're circled.
Can you host servers easily in this game or do you have to go with the dedicated stuff like in the previous since there seem to be a shitload amounts of people trying to join servers. Oh also, the game is fun. :dance:

I like when I'm winding up an explosive slam on a high-priority zed with the pulveriser and then a clot grabs me mid-swing and makes me waste my shell
I really wish Hans didn't get 100% of his fucking healthbar back when he healed himself . . . it makes shooting at him before he's done 3 grabs feel literally pointless.

At least this way you get notified of it and can break away before you're circled.[/QUOTE] the camera jerking peeves me off in later waves. if i'm unloading the AA12 on a fleshpound that's coming right at me i'd rather not suddenly be shooting at a clot that just so happened to grab me. being unable to move is a hinderance enough but the 1 - 2 rounds i waste on it can be a matter of life and death.
soloing in KF2 just seems a lot easier than KF1 soloing. i mean, as a level 0 commando i could kill a scrake in ~10 headshots with the ak.

It's stupid and completely fucks over the player.

But I main commando and with both primaries and the level 10 perk I have 75 shots before needing to reload, so I can see when it might be a problem for other classes, just melee though. So I've tested it out and done the math. For about 5 hours I did hard/suicidal/HoE solos and got up to level 13. Hard long solo gets you 5k exp Suicidal long solo gets you around 7.2k exp HoE long solo should be around 9k exp, but I've only gotten to wave 8 soloing HoE. I don't know what the boss gives (assuming around 900). Solo is pretty quick, was finishing Suicidal runs in 35 minutes, pretty much a level per run up till level 15+. Almost back to level 24 commando from where I left off in the stress test beta. I'll hit level 25 on Thursday, then over the weekend finish getting the other 3 perks to 25 so I can just mess around till the next set of perks. Commando is the easiest to solo grind with though.

Sorta like how a lot of games do grenades.

That actually makes more sense but damn is it still annoying.

As it is you're fully rotated in like 1-2 frames, it just feels janky as hell.

I thought it was an intentional change.[/QUOTE] idk i think having all of your movement instantly halted + taking constant damage that shakes the screen is annoying enough [editline]awdiok[/editline] also if it were to kill the player it's kind of a bullshit reason to die. you weren't doing anything wrong but you randomly got screwed over because you got grabbed by a clot that walked behind you. it should be up to me if i want to just take the chip damage and suffer the other downsides of being grabbed while finishing off the scrake / FP or turn around quickly and take them out.
So my friend got killing floor 2 deluxe edition thingt but he didn't know that it wouldnt work on a 32bit system. Should he just wait for twi to release a 32bit version or something.

Hey guys! Anyone here that might want to gift the game to me from america or somewhere where it'll be probably uncut? I have a small fear that the game will get cut in Germany and I don't want to miss that awesome gore system. (Of course you'll get something equivalent. I don't mind if you want a game that costs 5$ more than KF2, too.)

Maybe I just need to level support some more before it starts to shine, but I dunno. From what I've seen, none of the shotguns (well, beside the AA12) do anything that another weapon can't do better. From point-blank/close range, a berserker will do better than you. At farther ranges, you may as well be throwing confetti at the zeds. The AA12 offers a DPS like no other weapon has, but getting to that level is kind of a pain- especially when your teammates excel in areas you don't, so they'll nab most of the kills. Looking at the perks now, though, I could see the class really coming to fruition at later levels, but I doubt most folk will get that far. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I'm doing something wrong. But in my hands, shotguns don't have that powerful kick I loved so much in KF1- except for the AA12. That shit is bonkers. :v:
