but... who the hell uses the katana then? It's not listed under any of the perks
zerker sidegrade? Or Dragon weapon...?
About 6:13, some character customization
haha that priest has some nice shades on yeah
the weapons listed are probably just the perk specific ones, there's probably generic weapons too
I noticed that when they were welding the door and the zeds broke through, one of the player-characters yelled out "WEAPONS FREE!"
I fucking loved that.
Damn the game looks great, but I'm pretty sure I won't be able to run it.

If the rumours about a Material Artist perk are true, they really should have a purple greatcoat available for good old Reverend Alberts.
It would be amazing to be able to do the same as the character he is based on, only minus being a one-scene wonder.

Going to be the first one to say meh.
Don't really care too much for the animation features at all besides the high frame rate zed time.
The new perks look pretty boring honestly.
Game is looking way too much fun, I neeeeed it
Not sure how I feel about that bloat absolutely tanking those shotgun rounds, can't really tell what difficulty they were playing at but it probably wasn't easy
Even in KF1 the Bloat could take a lot of punishment but anyone who has played the game for more than an hour would of realized that you just need to take off his head.
I'm surprised sharpshooter isn't included with those first four perks, it seems like the most basic one.
Sharpie is less of a do-it-all this time round, his focus is rifles and precision. He doesn't have the pistol setup like last time.

I honestly think it looks exactly what we were after, fast paced less campy and more well rounded KF.
Your bloat comment is valid however.
I didn't really mind the camp, I actually hated maps where no where was safe because it got really messy especially on harder difficulties. I don't mind harder to hold down areas only if you can still hold them down to a degree.
Just wondering if the placement of KF2 in the upcomings tab of the Steam store might mean anything?

Yeah but KF2 is an almost completely different game, there's little merit to compare it to its predecessor without having actually played it
Sure the gameplay looks hectic, but it looks 100 times more exciting than KF1 did
most enemies would just make a simple beeline for you, were slow, or otherwise didn't switch up their tactics or movement
The small amount of footage of the FP in that video for example shows that he could be really dynamic, deciding to turn and attack different players and jumping around rather than just going into a straight line for the nearest one
What i'm trying to say is for me at least, dynamic gameplay and hectic combat far outpaces predictable, controlled AI and repetitive camping

Well one of the main points they were talking about is that they didn't want to change it up so much. I don't think there was anything inherently wrong with how KF1 worked, only the perks really needed improvement and maybe some AI fixes but it worked very well as when they talked about more experienced players wanting combos and stuff, that's what really carried the game from mashing left click to actually having some sort of hidden complexity. I wish they'd just talk about gameplay mechanics but I guess new tech is more interesting. I don't think Bloats exploding counts as Bile damage anymore or the guy had a perk.
I will give them credit for making the gorefast actually fast though rather than just beelining in a straight line.
What I couldn't see is how fast WE can run. Can we actually move fast and not jog? Can we sprint?
Pretty sure sprint is now in the game, not sure what I think of that but I suppose it's to match the new faster paced gameplay as now you can't hold down an area.
I think a must have feature in KF2 is to have Bloats leak their bile when you shot their belly, just like oil/water barrels in some games and if you are near the spill, you will take damage.
If that feature won't be introduced, I won't buy this game.
That stuff must be introduced into the game! Just look at those Bloats! Their belly is full of that stuff! It should leak if you shot that! No... IT HAS TO LEAK! IT HAS TO LEAK!!!
What I couldn't see is how fast WE can run. Can we actually move fast and not jog? Can we sprint?
They showed sprinting with fast animations, but actual movement speed was so slow it seemed like you were running on treadmill.
The only thing that annoyed me about that video is that the game isn't out.
i don't like the whole pulling the slide when the beretta 92 runs out of ammo thing, using the slide release looks so much cooler...

it's probably the regular reload animation anyway, the "elite" version is probably the release one

Demolitions and Firebug are gone?
Demolitions and Firebug are gone?
No, not shown in the video.
Maybe it was the video or the player but the gameplay they've shown felt extremely twitchy and anything but smooth.
