I like what i see, however certain weapons lacked the visible and audible 'Power' factor. I'm hoping it's because they were low perked and on a low difficulty because right now the 9mm, AK and Scar just don't do much for me. Not like they do now.
To be fair, assault rifles in KF never felt like they had any power behind them IMO
did anyone else get dizzy watching the video? i also get it playing RO2, im also kinda disappointed at the gore i half expected you're able to pop an arm off a zed and still have them coming at you
I started to near the end of the video. I think it's mostly just the low fov, which I'm pretty sure we'll be able to tweak if RO2 is anything to judge by.
To be fair, assault rifles in KF never felt like they had any power behind them IMO
The AK always packed a punch to me
To be fair, assault rifles in KF never felt like they had any power behind them IMO
spot the guy who never used the scar
Good news, everyone! There's been a significant development on the NipplePiercingGate front: Unfortunately, there don't appear to be any piercings attached to these nipples. Yet.
Bothers me when they make the first person sprint animation wild flaily arms but you barely move faster at all.
All the time they spent on the animation for guns, but it looks really silly when people are sprinting. Both their first and third person animations look over the top.
All the time they spent on the animation for guns, but it looks really silly when people are sprinting. Both their first and third person animations look over the top.
Be aware that this is alpha/early access. They still have time to mo-cap that, I'm sure they'll probably listen to some of the community input. If people don't like the sprinting animation post it on their forums. (I personally don't really mind them)
I really hope KF2 has a KF1 voice option. It just won't be quite the same without the ridiculous accent.
Whether two certain employees return for VO will be determined by sales, if you recall.
I really hope KF2 has a KF1 voice option. It just won't be quite the same without the ridiculous accent.
Rather have decent voice variation by proper actors than one universal voice. Easier to distinguish who needs help.
All in all, I really like what I'm seeing so far with KF2. Keep in mind that this is just an alpha version and early access might help influence their design decisions if enough people put in feedback.
Get the announcer from Halo as a voice actor. "I need a weapon"
All the time they spent on the animation for guns, but it looks really silly when people are sprinting. Both their first and third person animations look over the top.
Because is the same animation from Red orchestra 2
i hope it doesn't have the crazy stuttering like in RO2 even at 60fps, or the awful sound system they used
Am I literally the only one that's glad that the over-the-top British voices are gone? I think they were a bit too jarring; my first game of KF consisted of me wondering if I accidentally fucked up my sound files. You're in a charred London, not in Monty Python's adventures.
i wonder if theres a low swinging melee weapon, i only watched part of the gameplay video but i noticed the same issue as KF1, where while standing and looking down you miss all your swings on crawlers, or end up on top of them bouncing around. Was annoying to have to wait for them to jump, or crouch and look in to their eyes.
I hope they don't forget to add axes.

Just came to post those videos too, awesome stuff! Game looks bitchin' Can you press reload with full ammo to do a weapon animation like in Shadow Warrior? I loved that feature.
2nd video has the iconic British voice with new lines entirely though.
Anyone else notice he says "hang on new clip in"? It's not a clip guys :-(
That flamethrower looks great, Firebug's going to be very enjoyable I hope.
Nice gameplay! But gosh, some of the players are shite.
What year does KF2 take place in? I mean honestly said it looks pretty "futuristic".
Enjoying the gameplay, hopefully after PCGamer's videos stop, Tripwire will post their own videos that have a release date at the end.
Nice gameplay! But gosh, some of the players are shite.
Most people that test/review/show off games for press are usually bad. I've always thought they should have some decent players show off games at E3, but they never do.
What year does KF2 take place in? I mean honestly said it looks pretty "futuristic".
It takes place in modern times obviously, all the advanced technology is most likely from Horzine.
I feel a little better about them keeping the spirit of the first game in after those last 2 videos. There's less talking so you can hear more of the music and banter of the characters. They should do a few videos with no commentary at all so we can just hear the game in its entirety.
i hope they have a classic map pack at some point.
i hope they have a classic map pack at some point.
I don't think a lot of the maps would work in KF2, since the pace of the zeds and the constantly having to move goes against how KF1 works. Biolab is an example - way too small for KF2 gameplay.
We are getting mapping tools for early access, might be fairly easy to port the original maps.
The real question here guys is, does running with the knife make you run faster?
