KF2 is gonna be fucking difficult. I can tell.
I don't know if I like the finite doors. It seems like it'd really limit your options after a round or two, since those things never last long even when welded fully.

It can force the players to decide if they want to wait 'til the later rounds to start welding doors, or use them immediately to ensure safety in the earlier rounds.

The gameplay emphasis has just been shifted to rotating between a large number of camping spots from wave to wave rather than picking the exact same place for a whole game.

Even with maps like west london you could camp in the middle of the street with 4 possible places Zeds could come from. Determining "campy-ness" by maps is also not a very good metric because that is going under the assumption that all maps are evaluated on how well they can be camped which is impossible as KF2 is meant to be mod friendly. Zeds being faster/more tricky and spawning from more directions could easily make it less campy because some maps in KF1 they only ever came in a few directions at once. You also get bugs like in departed where you can camp in that one room with the two doors because if no one stood next to the side door, Zeds would never attack it, essentially funneling everything into one doorway. If doors can't be infinitely welded and spawn points/Zed AI were improved then stuff like that wouldn't happen. Another thing was that Zeds will also almost never spawn right next to players which is why the spawn of Biotics Lab was campable. They're meant to spawn in the elevator behind spawn but if someone stands behind the Barrel at all times, they will never spawn there. If that was fixed or tweaked that removes that camping spot. Don't blame the maps, blame how KF1 works. Back to the leveling system. Old one had it pros too, compared to the new one. In KF1 you could level multiple perks without even playing them or at least get some progress towards it. Any class could gain progress towards specific ones by doing some ordinary stuff - berserker (using your knife), medic (healing others), support (welding doors), sharpshooter (headshots with a sidearm), firebug (flare revolvers that are semi popular), demolitions (grenades). Personally, I have leveled my sharpshooter to rank 6, even though I rarely play it... . Medic is almost rank 5 too due to that system and I barely play it too. With the new system, you will have to play said class in order to gain any progress on it. So there are pros and cons to both sides.
Do you have a source for that? As far as I can tell it works the same way as the old one, except that actions perk actions are converted into XP and added to the perks XP pool.

Mostly I've based that on seeing that "+5 XP" popping up in lower left corner, near the xp bar itself, so if it didn't pop up when you did something I imagine it didn't provide any xp at all or just lower xp in general due to not having a specific class for that bonus to work. However You may be right that using other perks weapons and doing actions that generally would advance another class still works, however it wasn't evident yet in any video I have watched up to this date. Right now it was you either GET XP or you don't get any at all for doing certain actions - that may be just due to a bad feedback system they are having, where it doesn't inform you about progress being made towards a different perk. That's why I'm going to stay with my assumption that it doesn't let you progress towards other perks if you haven't chosen them in the first place.
From what I can tell your kills go towards a general XP bar at the bottom left and only count for that class your using during that round. Whether or not welding, healing ect counts xp cross-perk we can't tell because every video just has the one class per person, nobody switched

so is it confirmed that there's no pvp? I mean i'm fairly sure that there is not any but just watching the videos i just noticed "TWPLAYER 5 HAS JOINED TEAM" is that just a leftover or something to come. or was it like that in kf1 and i'm just speculating on a level nobody has even seen before.
