If I had to guess, I think KF2's gonna be 50 dollars. If it's 60 then I'm gonna assume Tripwire has a lot in store for us to make that worth it.
Nahh, I'm thinking lower. The rest will probably be made up with character and weapons packs like KF1
There probably won't be a 4 pack, but there likely will be a 6 pack.
I would figure too since that's what KF1 has. As soon as that thing goes live I'm hosting the shit out of a 6 pack.
Also, $50/60 for KF2? You must be out of your mind. $40 at most.
They'll make a lot of their money later on from DLC and extra content, same as the first one. $30 to $40 sounds about right to me
Ultimate is hope that it's $45~ on release with a discount for owners of KF1, and probably a "Get free shit in KF2 if you play KF1 within X amount of time" event
It's probably going to be free.
It's probably going to be free.
No, tripwire will pay YOU for downloading it.

That would be ridiculous price for game like this. It'll likely be 30 euros like Payday 2 was on launch.

Agreed, it'll probably be somewhere between $30-$40. It's early access too, so I doubt it'll be $60.

Well, what's your reasoning?
That would be ridiculous price for game like this. It'll likely be 30 euros like Payday 2 was on launch.
I just hope the don't go the Overkill route of making paid DLC out the ass (Seriously, all the DLC put together is 100 bucks, and almost every DLC is some gameplay content) instead of KF1's free content patches for years before even considering paid DLC.
I really dislike how even KF1 did dlc.
At least payday 2's dlc was worth it and not $8 for a skin pack.

Payday's DLC also locked mods that are essential to the meta, so you basically need at least the courier pack to get the max out of your guns. Skins are much more harmless IMO, but they aren't worth the money for me, so I agree on that.
DLC isn't some inherent evil that ruins all your games, really

Not true, best weapon int he game for Payday 2 is the car-4 and that's non-dlc. But that's for the payday thread, not here.
Idk, I'm used to content being distributed that way, also the dlc weapon packs in KF1 are arguably better than the defaults.
It's still the pricing that bothers me the most.

And the meta mods are only really essential if you want to play on the hardest (artificial) difficulty, anything less than that and you can do whatever you like.

Yeah, but's it sure isn't fun to have your weapon customization hostage by RNG plus a growing amount of mods. I don't find it to be the worst thing ever, I play payday a lot and have a lot of the dlcs, I just don't find it fair for people who are just getting into the game and trying it out. Anyway, off-topic stuff, let's end this.

What? Killing floor is one of the best around.
You don't buy any and you get the benefits of others who do because it funded every single event which gave you tonnes of free shit. And this is a game that also has modding tools so you can download your own damn skins and models if you so pleased.
The weapon packs can piss off though.
I havent bought any skin pack since the last 4 pack because they got stupidly over priced but i'd rather that than any alternative including payday 2's slightly better than others but still bullshit model.
The weapon packs are lame, but I predict there will be a lot of weapon/character skin dlc packs, especially with the added customization. Hopefully, they bring out a weapon skin customization area so the buy menus don't get cluttered with different skins of the same guns.
I'd be shocked if this wasn't 50 bucks, 3 years of dedicated development isn't cheap. Killing Floor was 20 bucks at release and that game only took a few months to make and had a much tighter budget.

there's a lot of dlc for kf1 for a reason

KF2 is gonna get a lot of DLC too.

They actually just released a free mod pack during the last big event that made like 3 or 4 more of the vanilla guns reach all of the meta breakpoints. They dethroned the DLC Mod King. And even before that the CAR-4 wasn't essential for Deathwish.
Killing Floor's DLC is a bit more iffy.
I don't even care how much it costs, I am going to buy it regardless if its €20 or €60 (tho 60 would suck a bit) because it just looks that good.
Probably not gonna buy DLC ever anyway, so..
So much hypeeeeeee
I'm gonna guess £20-£30.

This topic was posted awhile back somewhere, and it seems like it's hitting the $30-40 mark for the majority. I'd at least say that is fair for this game and the upcoming DLCs. Maybe they will decide on that range, who knows...
I just want to get the game already, the wait is killing all of us.
Yeahhh, if it's $50+, I'm not going to buy into it until a sale.
Honestly, I was never disappointed with the weapons or anything else.
Yeah sure, some are broken but I'm playing the game for the metal, to kill shit and the wonky amazing voices.
If only I had money.
I'd buy it even if it was 60. It's definitely above and beyond the standard AAA game, thats for sure.
I mean, don't get me wrong, the game is going to be balls-to-the-walls fantastic, but I'm probably not going to spend AAA $$$ on a co-op/multiplayer only game. I rarely spend that on games with single-player campaigns as well.
We have different opinions of money for games, then. With me, if I can get at least twice the amount of hours as I paid (60$=120 hours, etc) it was totally worth it, and that's never failed me so far. I have yet to find many games that I'm overly disappointed with.
