How bad was RO2's launch? I never witnessed it.
For some people it was unplayable and there's a lot of wonky shit going on with the progression system.
Personally,I haven't had any of those problems.
I doubt Tripwire is going to mess up again,Rising Storm launched pretty smoothly
I dont think anyone would care if KF2 release was horrible because we would atleast have the game
tripwire is attending pax south and they're having a kf2 panel on saturday @ 2:30 pm.
new dev diary/specimen footage? maybe a release date??
I certainly hope so, I've already taken off next saturday from work for Dying Light, I'll probably need two or three days when KF2 drops.

Release date pls
Release date followed by early access announcement and preorders
I hope playing the game as early access won't be underwhelming. Sometimes I just get a weird first impression of games that waters down the long-run experience. But I also want to believe Tripwire of all people would know how to do EA on Steam right.
I've been so disenfranchised by Early Access games that I would vastly prefer to wait longer for the finished product, and not just for myself. Usually by the time an early access game has reached a "full release" everyone's already done playing the game/overleveled/know the game inside-out.

Thing is that Killing Floor is a formula that works very well and keeps me coming back, so unless they somehow fucked it up I'm sure it'll still be very replayable for a long time.

starts in half an hour apparently
It won't be on the twitch stream so I hope it'll be recorded and uploaded later
I hope more that the new gameplay is uploaded immediately after though
Soo.. anything?
Found nothing but images, atm. Nothing really new, though.

I like the idea of having unique choices for your perks, so you won't run into the same exact perk skill tree, for each perk.

Unless there is some "holy-grail" set-up that's so good that there is no point setting it up any other way. Hopefully the balancing efforts in EA will stop that kind of thing though.

Out of all those images, the one with the people probably has the most new reveals. I don't recognise the two people to the top right, and the one person to the top left.

*Almost* the same stuff that was from last month's panel it seems:

The one above Foster could be the same guy hosing the inside of the train with the flamethrower from the Weapons and Perks Trailer without his mask on.
That same guy could very well be Sergeant Powers since he's holding a flamethrower in that group picture as well.

As for the one at the top left, He could also be an unmasked Police Sergeant Davin since he looks like he has the same armour as Briar and doesn't look as old.
Possibly:
Masterson - Alberts - Hunt (doesn't really look like him at all though)- Wiggins/Weeks (both use the same face model) - no idea, doesn't look like Tam at all
then Skully - Punk - Foster
The one next to Skully looks female? New character or have I been gone from KF for too long?

The one next to skully is the french punk rock chick.
I don't really understand the plot of Killing Floor 2. Obviously the game's selling point is going to be the gameplay, not the story, but how did the outbreak get so bad that it spread to the rest of Europe?
If I'm not mistaken the zeds can't really infect people or reproduce in any way, instead they're just test tube babies made in Horzine labs. And I doubt they made enough zeds to take over the entire Europe.

Overrun with magic portable cloning machines, probably.
I will guess that maps like Suburbia and HillBilly (USA) or IceBreaker (somewhere at the ocean) either never happened or just were isolated cases.
There are horzine labs around the globe
Makes sense that the dick staplers that work there would follow suit with the "hey let's leave the cloning vats running" shtick

They mention in stuff for KF1 that the zeds broke out and killed the scientists before they could shut the cloning machines off, so there is just an endless stream of zeds coming out of the various Horzine facilities somehow.
However, in the End of the Line map for KF1 the Patriarch moves to France with a few zeds I think, so he probably goes into hiding and creates the new zeds e.g the Slasher and Cyst. There seems to be a Horzine lab in France or somewhere else in Europe judging from the Laboratory map shown in the second Meet the Specimens trailer, so perhaps the Patriarch took over the lab and others to create more hordes. Who knows where they get the resources though, especially now that there is no trader and a gun vending machine for the survivors.

So informative
killing floor has a plot?
it gets kinda funny when people go into elaborate explanation about the rich and intricate mod backstory and ongoing plot
Game still has a story.
