This is the single most assbackwards beta key giveaway I have ever seen. Not only are they alienating their own community, but people who just found out about kf2 last week got one. [sp]A friend of mine who got one also never even played the first KF, so I am real fucking salty now[/sp]

I'm just throwing it out there that handing out keys by playtime is biased and not cool.
And I have 600 hours plus all maxed perks. The fairest way is via raffles like PCGamer.
Handing them out by playtime or any other reason just makes people entitled and grumpy, plus it doesn't let new people in on the game either (and it's bad marketing)
The whole thing is dumb but it shouldn't be biased, just simple raffles.
Tbh, i think this is clever. Because they will " Force " you to follow the person who want's to give out keys. Good way to get followers/Viewers and publicity.

Tripwire should quickly make like a sixty dollar buy-in for people who are so desperate to get in to the beta. that way it's the consumer's fault for paying double the value of the game just to earn their foot in the door for an event that will only last about a week. that way desperate people get punished
should also create floating text above their head that says "I PAID EXTRA AND WAS REWARDED NOTHING" for the rest of their lives

Except everyone is going to unfollow as soon as they get a key, and only remember that twitter account from all the frustration they had to go through. Seems like a pretty bad philosophy to me.
My twitter account have been made solely for freebies so I don't care what goes on there to be honest, same with Facebook account.

yeah. it's kind of dumb that they're using social media sites that don't really discuss their game. if anything they should be hosting a raffle on steam since it's for steam anyway. plus it would remedy the duplicate key issue so many people are having

I completely agree that it's bad to create entitlement and all, but when I see a guy with 1 hour in the game getting a [I]stress test[/I] key against someone with 1600 hours in the game, it makes me feel a little weird inside.
But in all fairness I too want a key badly, so I'll look for any excuse to feed myself :(
It's good to see the continution of the "slow-mo welding" and other useless tasks still happen. :v: Always fun to get a long Zed Time moment and you're just reloading your shotgun in an empty hallway.
Also Hypernia is setting 50 keys on the same website, and they "fixed the servers going down"
it'll be out in a couple of weeks so it's not like it's that big of a deal
just think to yourself a lot of the people playing the beta will get burnt out on it by the time the early access starts
