The problem with this is the minute they go past that release date fans start shit-flinging insults and everything under the sun at them because "They didn't meet their release date", even if it is "speculative". I'd rather have no confirmed release date at all than the shitstorm that would arise from retards complaining they overshot it.
They can take as long as they want, I still play Killing Floor a shit loads. The fact a sequel is even coming out is a bonus enough

Killing Floor story = What ever Tripwire want's it to be.
At this point the story is essentially a clean slate if you look back a few pages you'd see why (don't want to start that conversation again)
The outbreak itself has not been covered, only the immediate aftermath and Kevin being involved. Activists were involved though.
On the video itself, it was not awful but it was incredibly cliche and uninspired, or rather a complete rip of of 28 days later.
