No firebug or demolitions?
Did I miss something?
It's still early, they said on Twitter those four classes are gonna be the only classes for the Early access release. Not that I mind, Zerker, Commando and Medic are my most played classes in KF1.
I like how the Stalkers do airplane arms when they run. I want someone to do a mod that replaces their idling sounds with voiced mock-airplane sounds.
Single shot bonus, extra ammo, increased chances of a flinch and fast reload in zed time? Sign me the fuck up.
as a complete sucker for handguns, i cant wait to see some gunslinger
I'm hoping that when TW uploads the video they upload it at 60fps. I feel like we can get a really good understanding of the hfr animations if we can see it at a smoother framerate.
I am really looking forward to how that "stumble" mechanic will work when shooting zeds. Love me some stoppan power.

We've seen a few instances of it on the smaller zeds. I doubt it will do anything against the scrake or fleshpound.

Can't check with this PC, but in the latest Dev Diary one of the clots stumbles and almost falls over because of a grenade going off further behind it.
Is cool that you can use the Crossbow Saw from close now. I guess we will not see again the chainsaw.
This is the first video I've felt slightly negative about. Everything is still great but after the month or two we just waited for it I expected it to be longer than 6 minutes. The menus looked great, but most of the stuff they showed off was like stuff that was already confirmed. I still wanted to see it, but I was hoping for something new to be revealed.
The only thing I felt really negatively about was the melee animation for the shredder (previously known as the buzzsaw bow). I should have realised that it just wasn't going to look the same as an impact weapon because the MEAT system was probably not designed with slow cutting tools in mind. There's also the chance that it was just early footage of the shredder and something will be done about it eventually. Maybe just increased blood particle effects around the point of impact to hide that it's not really cutting anything until something just sort of pops off.
Still, it's not like that ruins anything else for me, I will simply just stick swords and hammers.

That's how left 4 dead 2 did it with the chainsaw I think
It also looks weird probably because of how first person weapons are rendered on a different layer to the rest of the world, the shredder is a big two handed weapon but get right up in a zed's face and it suddenly looks tiny. you can see this effect in other FPS games when you walk right up to a wall, it can be counteracted by adding an animation that presses the gun to your chest instead of straight out when you get too close to something
Good point I didn't think of that.
Perks having their own starting weapon set, more perk skills and choice into which ones you pick up is everything I wanted
I'm really hoping blunt melee weapons will be satisfying, a lot of games just have you swipe and then the enemy falls, there's never really that 'oomph' of impact. Dead Island did blunt weapons pretty well, if you hit them in the arm and it was a break hit, their arm would look broken and flop around, kinda graphic but considering the KF2 gore system I hope they'll give blunt weapons the special treatment.

It would be amazing if you hit a zed's head with a blunt weapon and you could see it caved in a bit.

They'd better fly the fuck back. I'm talking TF2's home run taunt distance.

Knowing Killing Floor, it'd probably explode instead.
As I said in the Videos thread about the new DevDiary for KF2... I got to go to Tripwire today and play Killing Floor 2 for about 2 hours. I can't tell you guys anything that hasn't already been announced, cause they WILL lawyer up and come down on me if I do... BUT... I can tell you that the game is extraordinarily badass and is DEFINITELY going to be worth the pre-order.
Do you know a release date? Like whether or not you know, not asking for exact date.
Noobie what if we ask a lot of questions about features and you just rate our posts? Would that count?
Yes, that would count and 2, it's cool to have Yoshi come around and pester us, so let's not fuck that up.
Killing Floor is one of only 2 games I have ever preordered, because it's a game I had absolute certainty I would love as soon as I saw a video about it for the first time. Killing Floor 2 gives me the same impression.
if i pm you a question will you answer it?
How many nipple piercings did you witness?
Did the game run well (at 60fps I do hope)? Weren't there any technological hick-ups during gameplay?
I doubt they would have problems on the machines they have at TW. They're probably playing it on powerful enough machines that any performance issues are negated by the hardware.

Did you actually complete a round or two in that time? Did they fix the glaring issues with end-of-the-round cash spam? Like being able to only throw it in one neat pile instead of spreading it everywhere. Do paper bills still make coin noises?
These are the hard-hitting questions that need to be answered.
I'm so pleased with the levels change. It used to be so slow I don't think I ever maxed out a perk in the first game

if there isn't a "make it rain" function with the money I will be severely disappointed in Tripwire
i will seriously boycott this game unless your arm still magically turns into the camo arm every time you throw a grenade
it was such a staple in the first game. it would be a shame if they removed it.
