Hypernia gave me two keys about 15 minutes before the beta period expired.
How did it feel to download the game?
How did it feel to download the game?
As if I were kissed on the lips by Katy Perry and she continues to kiss down my chest, lower and lower only to realize it was all just a dream.
yo just a heads up when someone asks for clarification that is exactly the wrongest answer you could give 'em
Just a heads up, richy isn't asking for clarification, he would like a series of posts in which he alleviates his crushing boredom.
What do you people think about TW's EULA on their games? [t]https://8ch.net/v/src/1429297287771-2.png[/t] http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/announcement.php?f=54&a=10 I'm kinda worried on the part where they can revoke your CD key forever for saying/doing bad things, possibly being true or not.
If this were true Lenny would've been banned from KF1 years ago.
Has TWI said anything about holding onto the beta files or not? Since the beta was just "Killing Floor 2" I figured it'd be using all the same files.
Has TWI said anything about holding onto the beta files or not? Since the beta was just "Killing Floor 2" I figured it'd be using all the same files.
It's likely it will use a majority of, or share, the files. So no point in ditching them. Then again, they might have it download as that compressed file which self-extracts, so maybe there is. Who knows! :v:

I'm not sure if anyone has noticed this but, ''NOTE: It is quite likely that there are some regions where we may be required to make cuts in the future, particularly in the gore system, to comply with local ratings boards, once we get the game into its full release status. Regions most likely at risk of this are Germany (via USK) and Australia (via OFLC). Japan is another possibility (via CERO), but is an unknown quantity to us. To be quite clear: this means that, if you are buying from a region which regularly forces cuts on to games for gore, you may get reduced gore when we go to the full release version of the game.'' This appears to have been updated quite recently on the Steam Front Page. http://store.steampowered.com/app/232090/
I miss the beta already

Although Mortal Kombat is uncensored here.
Just a heads up, richy isn't asking for clarification, he would like a series of posts in which he alleviates his crushing boredom.
Well then ignore him and answer one of us who genuinely want to know what you mean.
if you spend hundreds of hours in early access and you get sad over your perks getting reset even though you already know they're going to reset that's pretty sad and you should probably go see somebody
Hey chill man I never meant myself I was merely saying that putting some effort in to have it reset is quite demoralising and a reason to not go insane during beta and EA.
Hey chill man I never meant myself I was merely saying that putting some effort in to have it reset is quite demoralising and a reason to not go insane during beta and EA.
And TW may decide to reward said folks with a fancy hat or two instead of keeping their perks.
I think every time they reset a perk they should give us a free cosmetic or something. But I don't really see them resetting perks unless they add several perks at one time, or do a major rebalance revamp of all the skills you can pick.
Why do they owe us anything for resetting progress?

They owe nothing to anybody.
You guys think using a US VPN to access steam store and buying KF2 that way will lead to no gore nerf because Australia?
You guys think using a US VPN to access steam store and buying KF2 that way will lead to no gore nerf because Australia?
Wouldn't the game be region-locked?

It would just be a nice little extra thing for when/if perks do get reset. I was just talking to:
And TW may decide to reward said folks with a fancy hat or two instead of keeping their perks.
Which if they did give cosmetics when they reset perks, that would be pretty nice of them.
You guys think using a US VPN to access steam store and buying KF2 that way will lead to no gore nerf because Australia?
pretty sure some steam update in the past couple of months locked regions to accounts.

We get to the play the game early, and they get our money plus people actively looking for bugs and testing things.

We get to the play the game early, and they get our money plus people actively looking for bugs and testing things.
I kinda messed up my wording. What I said was supposed to be directed at this specific part:
I think every time they reset a perk they should give us a free cosmetic or something.
I'm fine with pre-orderers getting a minor free cosmetic or something, but I wouldn't be if a cosmetic was given for every instance (even if once) that perks are reset. If you want to reward people who pre-order it's alright but giving the players something as "compensation for having their perks reset" just wouldn't be right. While giving something either for pre-ordering or for having perks reset would practically have the same end result, I'm mostly talking about the purpose/principle of the action (which is either to reward pre-ordering or compensate for losing your progress). Sorry for making the justification kinda long for something so minor.
Wouldn't the game be region-locked?
Don't know the rules now but previously people simply asked Americans to buy them L4D2 to bypass the censor.

This appears to have been updated quite recently on the Steam Front Page. http://store.steampowered.com/app/232090/
The devs need to add a single, dedicated, text setting file called gore.txt with "enabled = boolean", which will toggle the gore on and off, with no settings option ingame having influence over it. They should also ensure the file is exempt from all the "sv_pure" like server rules so one can modify it without getting shooed off by servers for modified files. simply ship the game with this disabled in the impacted countries. I am fairly sure that running it by the rating boards like that and going "well people have to do unauthorized and unendorsed modifications to the game to see the gore, we can't do anything about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ " would easily stand legally and everyone who wants the gore could just turn it on.
Well then, if someone can volunteer to buy me the delux v. of the game and I somehow give them 40$ that'll be dandy.
I have to give the writer of this thread on the Tripwire forums credit: this is a great bait thread about KF2. http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=105480 Whiniing about consolization and trying to inject gender politics into the game; that takes guts to write both of them in one thread and skills to make it sound convincing instead of an obvious troll.
i don't know if this is considered warez or not, but i really wish i can just download the files for killing floor 2 so i don't have to wait and download after i bought it as if it's going to work anyway

I think you'll be okay.
