Just got invaded in the Dragon Shrine wearing full Havel's and he wandered around the upper areas trying to pelt me with arrows without understanding how Dark Souls collision works until his timer ran out.
Dark Souls 2 has a time limit when you invade? That sucks.
In other news, I was able to beat the depths, beat blighttown, free big hat logan, and lose around 57000 souls.
Dark Souls is weird in that you have to treat it as a window instead of a game program in OBS. Nevertheless, I don't see why you can't stream Dark Souls through Steam, I can do it just fine.
I've tried it with Steam and it just refuses to work. It hangs for the other person even though it says I'm streaming on my end. Using DSFix, FPS unlocked, borderless window.
If someone'd like to help me troubleshoot when I get home in like, 10 hours, that'd be nice because I wanna do some sick streaming
did you mess with the bitrate and stuff
Finally finished building my new computer! First thing I'm going to do is play the steam version of DS.
when does the update for DS2 come out again?

I look forward to finding your Vagrant. And yeah, i think it's like 15 minutes? Something like that.
For some reason when i played DS1 for a while and looked some videos on DS2. DS2 doesn't feel as hard as DS1 And it just doesn't feel right

the movement engine in DkS2 is a lot more like DeS than DkS1, plus there are lots of small differences that tend to really throw people off
you'll get used to them after a while though

my Vagrant? Can you explain that to me? I just got back into DS1 last night.
Or is that a DS2 thing?

In my opinion the DS2 bosses are just too easy. You don't get that many 2v1 bosses like you did in ds1 and they usually only use attacks that are easy to dodge

It's a DS1 thing. This is a Vagrant;
[img_thumb]http://i.imgur.com/BtVjVR9.png[/img_thumb]
They spawn in set locations after a player has lost a ton of souls or humanities and other players can find them and kill them for some items. What sort of items depends on the type of Vagrant, i think there's four? And each one drops different types of items that improve the more times they're passed from world to world, because they vanish like Crystal Lizards and go to other players worlds. The Wikidot page has more information.
Vagrants sound cool, but they might as well not be in the game at all seeing as how I've never encountered any.
Any ideas for fun themed/gimmick loadout or mods to make the game look as pretty as possible?
Vagrants would be better implemented in DaS2 since it uses servers for matchmaking instead of IP pools with nodes.

Don't think my vagrant would actually have 57,000 souls; i lost 57,000 worth of souls.
I killed the Gaping Dragon, and went into Blighttown, got clubbed to death.
Went back to get the souls, got clubbed off a cliff. -28,000 souls.
Fast-forward to Sen's Fortress, make it past the pendulum pathways, kill the caster serpent, step on arrow trap, die.
I go back for the souls, lock-on to the caster serpent while i'm on the pendulum path, which misaligns my walk, walk off cliff, LIVE, go over to one of the demons, hide behind wall and heal, kill the demon, go to kill the other one, and I get gang-banged by three different electric projectiles.
-15,000 souls
Get run over by boulder, respawn, step on first arrow trap again, -4500 souls
Get killed by spike elevator, hit by pendulum on the way back. -6000 souls
Run out of Estus fighting snakes, killed by lightning projectile. Killed by snakes on the way back. -2500 souls.

I've encountered a grand total of one, and that was on the infamous bridge in Anor Londo. I gawked at it, puzzled, for about three seconds before it shot magic shit at me which, aided by the archers, was enough to push me off the edge.
I was so confused at the time.

Nah its a DS1 thing. If souls are lost then sometimes those souls turn in too a unique mob in another players world. These are called vagrants.

Please rate me late. I swear on me mum I refreshed before posting.
I found 2 vagrants total. 1 white one in Undead Asylum, 1 red one in the basin.

The Evil ones shoot magic. I've only ever encountered one myself, it was an Evil White one in the Basin.
When I once lost about 100.000 nothing appeared, I was disappointed.

They don't appear for you, they appear in other player's worlds.

Well I'm dumb and can't read properly.
I saw one ONCE in undead parish.
i have like 1000 hours clocked in dark souls and ive never even heard of this thing til now
It's not surprising, you have to lose like a dickload of souls and/or Humanity to get one to spawn and it may never appear in your world, even if the player that finds it lets it escape.
Man, you all are scrubs. Haven't even seen a vagrant. I've been killed by a vagrant. Get on my level!

I've had two white vagrants spawn, one on top of the tower where you start the Taurus Demon boss fight (with the skeleton archers), and one at the top of the little archer's nest tower in Upper Undead Burg halfway between the under-the-bridge bonfire and the Taurus Demon fog door tower.
I saw a large white vagrant on the PS3. I invaded some guy's world as a forest dude and saw it from a distance. Managed to message the host and he followed me to it. It did some weird spike throwing attack, but I guess it just ended up giving the host two humanities.
Other than that, I've seen about 5 on the PC version. Mostly in the Duke's Archives.

I also remember seeing a large red vagrant in Oolacile next to that second mage (across the long narrow walkway), I was so excited I ran up to try and one-shot it but the mage slapped me to death.
That moment when you're out of estus flask during ornstein&smough and you just randomly get 2more
I don't know why it happened but damn i'm happy
your message got rated twice

2 people re-inforced the bonfire.

That gives you humanity. In DS2 it gives you a health boost.
