Imo DS1s combat feels better and more weighty and has more variety but movement in DS2 feels smoother.

i'm tempted to try a no-death run but i'm sure il die at iron keep also, does anyone know of a mod that changes the controls to fit for a Playstation controller

I was around SL 80. So yeah, there's still people playing, you just need to find the spot that correspond to X SL. You can't do that in 2, because it has turn speed. This makes it feel incredibly sluggish and restricting. Also, you have a lot more recovery frames in pretty much every animation, and many of the animations just last longer (like the stun animations, seriously, they last like twice as long as in 1), so there's less time where you are actually in control of the character. Combine that with the turn speed and you have the main reason I don't really play 2 anymore. And speaking of the animations, they look really bad to me. Everything just seems to not have much weight, and some of the attack animations make no sense to me, like the fancy Royal Greatsword two-handed R1. There's also the running animations and the silly parry animation. I do like the fact that you can roll in any direction though.

Finally reinstalled after ragequitting on Gargoyles last year, now that i got DSfix shit is a lot easier. Just got to Anor Londo after upgrading random weapons and dying at least a hundred times but i think im in love

Dark Souls is like the game embodiment of Stockholm Syndrome. It keeps beating you again and again and you keep coming back and eventually you love it so much.

I got my Dark Souls working finally (had to search my entire computer for DarkSouls.ini because for some reason searching in the AppData folder wasn't working, then deleted it), and beat the Prison Demon after only 3 unrelated deaths. I'm not awful :dance: I can't figure out these [I]goddamn skeletons [/I]in Firelink though. Do I just have to keep wailing on them till they're dead?

so i got to play bloodborne on my friend's ps4 last night neat game but i'm not rushing out to the stores or anything, also demon's souls is still the best (as expected).

I forgot how convenients are greatshields PvE and PvP wise on Dks2, jumping attacks are not even slow, they deal decent damage, lots of stamina.

Jesus christ, I leave for work with the game on just in front of the giant blacksmith, having killed everything in the vicinity, and return home to find myself at the princess' bonfire. Took me a moment to realize what was wrong with this picture, so I asked my girlfriend if she'd been on my computer at all. She tells me yes, she tried to do something on my pc, and "accidentally hit the wrong button and hit that thing beside you." That "thing" being the giant blacksmith, aggroing him, getting me killed, but more importantly pissing off one of the most vital npc's in the game. Thankfully, I found out whats-his-name can "absolve sins" and patch our relationship... for 35,000 souls. No harm done, I guess, but next time I'm just turning the damn game off.
