Why out of all possible scenarios I got invaded in Sen's? Had so much bullshit and cheap death in this stupid Funhouse and invaders smug face is the last thing I wanted to see there.
2 people re-inforced the bonfire. That gives you humanity. In DS2 it gives you a health boost.
oh yeah, mixed that up
For some reason I cannot connect to anyone, not even my brother who is using the same internet. Every time I boot up the game, I see the same messages and bloodstains. I feel as though I'm stuck in fake internet purgatory. Has anyone here ever had that problem? I'm playing on PC.
Speaking of Sen's, I may be calling you guys soon for a guide. I can't get through this piece of shit, I don't know where to go, When I find where to go I die, and then I forget where I went.
Alright got a couple of questions about DS2 Is it worth investing in faith/int if I don't plan on using spells and just want the extra elemental damage for infused weapons? Do resins and/or imbuing spells scale with faith/int? Why do people say katanas are OP? Should praising the sun be mandatory by law?
you shouldn't really even be infusing weapons if you don't have the stats for it they don't scale straight swords are more op than katanas
Yes, to an extent, in the game when it buffs a weapon it treats it as the exact same weapon but if it were x path. You put aromatic ooze on a Mace+5 and then it treats it as a Magic Mace+5, which magic type of weapon does scale with int to an extent
Don't know that it "treats it like a magic weapon", what it does is adds some base magic damage and increases the magic damage by a % (I think think it's 30 for all of them, not sure though) so if it's a magic weapon before using a resin, it'll benefit from it way more than if it's a normal one because that 30% bonus will be applying to the base magic damage. In a way I think that means it "scales on it", but it's more than the resin/buff is more useful the higher your elemental damage already is Here's the flat/% increases for spells, for comparison: crystal magic weapon: +50 and +25% dark weapon: +50 and +25% resonant weapon: +50 and +30% sunlight blade: +50 and +25% flame weapon: +50 and +30% flame weapon comes out of this with the most increase and casts (4 to 8, same as dark weapon but more damage) while only being one slot, so that's a thing formula is applied as [(original elemental damage + flat) x (1 + %inc)]

I'm really lost.
you shouldn't really even be infusing weapons if you don't have the stats for it
I'm talking about raising the stats to make it worth infusing them, if it's generally worth having elemental damage over physical or if it's just something to level the playing field for casters Also, I'm generally more interested in PVE and I'm high level enough to have all the stats I care about already over the soft cap

Man this Kalameet guy is frustrating. I thought Artorias was pretty easy and straightforward, but Kalameet is just tearing me a new one.
I bump into those Vagrants occasionally in Undead Parish and Anor Londo, I guess those two areas being the ones with the most frequent deaths.

If you're wanting to mainly use big ol' swords and stuff, get Strength and focus on it, Endurance and Vigor with a bit in Dex if needed. Basically the same if you want to use pokey weapons. Stat investment into the magical classes without that being an integral part of your build is a waste of souls unless you're just wanting Magic Weapon but you could just buy resins with the souls you're saving. [editline]22nd January 2015[/editline] If all else fails just do a 40/40 Quality build and you can use just about anything weapon wise barring a few extremes.
I've encountered 5 Vagrant throughout my Dark Souls Play through. Three around the undead parish (Two egg ones, one red and hostile one who murdered me). And two in Anor Londo (one of each). They're cool to run into. The last time I was playing Co-op with someone, we ran into a 'good' Vagrant and they didn't know what it was, and promptly ran after it, and fell to their death jumping after it (undead parish is where we found it).
Please guys, help me on this one. Am I having a cache problem or some shit? I'm really lost.
Have you ruled out softbans? You are also using the Engraved Ring when attempting to connect to your brother, correct?
Please guys, help me on this one. Am I having a cache problem or some shit? I'm really lost.
Are you playing Dark Souls 1 or 2? If you fucked with your dark souls 2 save file, like lowering/raising your sm in order to be able to connect to your brother, than you most likely have been soft banned.
So, I'm going to backtrack and go farm the woods for moss and souls. Maybe I'll open that big door, idk. Whatever I do, hope I don't get invaded by a treehugger!
AFAIK, treehuggers only invade past the door of Artorias.

I can only think of a couple of side paths, but they put you right back on the main path.
Ho-lee fuck. The fight with Sif. THAT. FUCKING. SOUNDTRACK. EVERY SINGLE BAD THING ABOUT THIS GAME IS REDEEMED. IT'S BEAUTIFUL.
Ho-lee fuck. The fight with Sif. THAT. FUCKING. SOUNDTRACK. EVERY SINGLE BAD THING ABOUT THIS GAME IS REDEEMED.
Its even better if you beat the DLC first [sp]And by better I mean your soul will be ripped in half and you will never want to fight sif again[/sp]
No seriously, you will NEVER want to fight him again.
Hey guys i need some help. Some time ago when the region lock for DS1 died i needed to switch to GFWL version then beta version which i did. But now the achievements i acquired while I was originally playing in the steamworks version are gone, but the ones acquired before that are not. Primarily these are the Acquire all the sorceries and pyromancies.I hear that you could regain them by attuning all the spells, but I did that and it did not work.Do i need to do it all again?
No seriously, you will NEVER want to fight him again.
I do, so I can revel in his souls afterwards.
I do, so I can revel in his souls afterwards.
I found the satan among us. Your first mistake was putting hell in your name.
Offline already? Well that didn't last long.
i was getting some mad framerate drops that made it really difficult to play
Dark Souls 1 still seems to be a wasteland for me. Been trying to get summoned for the gargoyles at level 20 for a while now.
I found the satan among us. Your first mistake was putting hell in your name.
I remember my first fight with Sif. I literally aimlessly wandered into his area, beat him without a sweat, and walked out. I hadn't even got to Blighttown yet, made all my friends who were going on about how sad it was a little confusing.
