When you compare that to pretty much anywhere in DaS2, is't so dense and sprawling that they#d have to try pretty hard to end up with the same world design issues it had.

While I'm as excited as anyone else here, I think I'll hold my breath until we see some actual gameplay footage before I let myself go into super-hype mode.

Man this E3 is fantastic. DOOM looks good, Dishonored 2 sounds great, Fallout 4 looks amazing, and now Dark Souls 3 on PC being directed by Miyazaki. I'm so happy. I hope they show off the upcoming Bloodborne DLC during the Sony conference.

The forlorn are probably going to become some major plot point since they were the last thing added to dsII with the little information about

We're definitely going back to Lordran. The song playing is an orchestra remake of Gwyn's theme in DS1. Now that DSIII is coming, I think this guy might be Gwyn's First Born. My theroy: When he was "cast out" before DSI, he was stripped of his identity (his recognizing features) and possibly his status. Solaire IMO is either: A. The First Born's reincarnation in the cycle. He seeks a way to revive his old self by finding the route of all the powers of the Lord Souls, mainly his dad. When he links the fire in his own world, he is reborn as the Giant Lord in DSII's cycle with his body still stripped of his appearance. This led to him doing the same to the other Giants now that Gwyn's gone. With DSIII he's reborn again, in his old body, now with his Sun powers returning to him to bring vengeance on the world ruled by his former father. B. A fanatic. When The First Born was stripped, Solaire killed him on a open road before the game and took his stuff. This was a way for Solaire the NOT First Born to find an identity for himself as a dedicated SunBro in search of a way to make himself a god. In DSIII he's reborn in his old body still stripped of recognition with his Sun powers returning and bla bla bla vengeance on Solaire and many like him while 420 Praisin' it. Edit: The hell? I kinda like the idea of a warrior king trying to save or revive a kingdom.
