Does the sale stack with the price cut for people that owned the original?
I don't think so. I think the discount upgrade is separate from the monster sale price cut.

The upgrade option says "SUMMER SALE" so I'm not sure what to think.
Wait nevermind, they do stack.

Not sure if I would still justify the $14 price, you're basically paying $14 for just slightly different enemy placements and AI, and the graphics upgrade is hardly noticeable in most places.

This fucking lance has spoiled me, holy shit.
I usually stayed away from lances 'cuz they felt too slow and unwieldy in fast-paced PvP, but man it's so much fun to use when you're just dicking around and catching people in your running attack.
What weapons/armour is this?
What weapons/armour is this?
Black Dragon set and Grand Lance.

DS2's rendition of the "dragon form" you get from the Dragon Torso Stone item. Only in this game it acts as armor now instead of a cosmetic change.

Also it's cute and I can pretend I'm a pretty little dragon.~

If you dont have the DLC it's way worth it, honestly that was the only reason I actually bought SOTFS, it was cheaper/better than buying the season pass.
Oh yeah, it's definitely worth it if you don't own DS2 or at least don't own the DLC.
Just started playing through SotFS and christ I hate the Ruin sentinel boss.

I don't know if scholar changes anything about the fight but it was pretty easy in the regular version to just tank them with a 2-handed greatshield and let the NPC summon do all the work

It's the same, nothing changed. Beatrice can pretty much handle the boss by herself as long as she keeps spamming Soul Spears.
I've always had trouble with them in the regular version too.
Because of this, I gotta check (it's been a while since I played), is Lost Bastille the area you're supposed to go to after you beat the pursuer boss? Or is there somewhere else I can tackle first?
I'll try the NPC.
Nah he decided to pay a visit to iron keep
Obligatory.

Chronologically, yes, Lost Bastille is after you defeat the Pursuer and leave the Forest. Alternatively, you could go explore Heide's Tower of Flame and then move on to No Man's Wharf, but it'll eventually lead you back to the other side of the Lost Bastille.

I've always seen the logical progression to be Forest -> Heide's -> Wharf -> Bastille, 'cause you actually start at the beginning of the Bastille that way and not through what's basically a shortcut.

In SotFS, that order is a little changed now. If you take No Man's Wharf, I think you skip Sentinels.
I remember the first time I played, I completely missed the Wharf until like the end of the game pretty much.

I think you could do that in the original too. Basically as long as you got the Antiquated Key from the other side (near the Tower Apart bonfire), you can use it to take the shortcut that takes you straight to Straid's Cell. I think the only change is that you no longer need a Pharros' Lockstone to open the shortcut after you unlock the area with the key.
well thats cause youre actually moving slightly slower and your rolls dont go as far. Go ahead, see if you can roll over the gap in firelink to get back to the asylum at both 30 and 60fps
[del]You can and it's really easy at 60?
The 6 times I've done it to trade or kill the demon were in my first playthrough, with DSFix, at 60 fps, medium carry weight speed.[/del]
I guess that's not a common thing to be able to do, as shown by the first post this page. Weird.

Rolling, not jumping.
Rolling, not jumping.
I did roll.
I did roll.
Can you post a video? I'm curious as to how you do it.
I'm thinking about doing a LORD LIFT!!!! build but I wonder what builds people use for it and I was thinking of using pyromancy too for FLAMING FISTS OF FURY.

This is why you don't rush through the Dragon Shrine anymore in SotFS. :v:

I used to have problems with them too.
Then I applied lightning to a Ultra Greatsword and took away nearly a quarter of their health in one swing.
Sooo I was at the blacksmith at the bottom of the Undead Parish about to buy the crest of Artorias, when I needed to alt-tab. I clicked back in and my dude swung at the blacksmith and now he attacks me on sight. I ran away without killing him, is there any way to reset him?

Go talk to the guy that showed up in the belltower after you killed the gargoyles, and pay him to absolve your sins. In the future, bring up the start menu before you alt-tab.
Ahh I was wondering what that guy was for.
Well there goes the 20k I was saving for the crest.

That or just move to the nearest bonfire or an area clear of any NPCs.

If he's aggro'd him, sitting down at the Bonfire won't reset that, just his position.
