I remember when I first invaded in dark souls I invaded a hacker who proceeded to give me 99 of almost every titanite, an occult club +4, and three gold pine resins. I also remember my first invasion in Darkroot, just after entering from the Parish. Pulled out the club the hacker gave me (I specifically kept it for early-game invasions) and beat the shit out of him. Also, Sen's Fortress is a dickhead.

I don't understand the whine about SL1 twink with endgame gear. 1. It takes some skill to beat the game up to the bonfire warp ability. Also giant blacksmith with lightning infusion and boss weapons. 2. You can stay hollow an never give a shit about any kind of invaders. This is why I like the old humanity system - you get summons and better resistances for a risk of being invaded.

First time I invaded was when I tried out one of the red cracked orbs you can find in firelink, in the undead burg, I invaded a twink. He one-shotted me

The problem with twinks is that it's fucking unbalanced, how the fuck are you supposed to properly defend yourself against someone with fully upgraded armor and a +5 chaos weapon misterman? And who decided it's alright for you to fuck with newcommers/under equipped players just because you played through the game with a level 1 character? New players having to fight people with endgame gear is not a feature.

The argument that "it's to fuck with new people" is a non-argument, masturbatory invasions where you're just forcing pvp on someone who can't fight back add nothing to the game. Telling someone to play hollow/offline to avoid fights they cannot possibly win is equally dumb. SL1 invasions are fine in theory but there needs to be matchmaking based on the power of characters and at level 1 it's so much more based on gear than level that the SL-based matchmaking system becomes worthless.

Good thing about low-level runs is you can use the souls you're not using on level ups to really maximize your equipments potential.

It's funny to see the beginning of undead parish invading phantoms using black crystals to go home after they see my lucky black knight halberd drop. Was fun one hit koing those bastards.

Dark Souls 1 isn't starting for me. Steam opens [installing x/x], closes after half a second, then never opens DS1. I cleaned out SweetFX and DSFix, still nothing.

Since region lock has been removed from DS1, how long does it take to get invasions?

So many people "losing connection" right after getting invaded. So sad. Why even play online? I was on an arbiter invasions spree today, got a couple of rage mails too. You've been naughty, you don't get to duel!

He could be summoned just fine, but anything entering his game made him crash.

I'm almost considering asking Steam if I can get a refund. The only time I can stay connected to DSII servers is when I'm at my dad's place, which is only like half the year because I live on campus. Whenever I'm in the apartments I can't even play online, even though literally every other multiplayer game I own works perfectly fine if not better than when I'm at my dad's place. Only problem is is that it's been almost a year since I bought the game and I've only regretted the purchase since I came back to college and realized that it still doesn't fucking work. I can't even use half of the game because of this, and I've posted about this issue like five times and I've only gotten one response which was basically "welp ur fukd". Googling the problem found me jack shit.

Anyone who even LOOKS at my summon sign crashes if I don't change my Steam nickname. :v: Thing is, I can log into the game with my tag on, change my Steam nickname to take it off, place my summon sign (which displays the new, non-crashy-unicode nick), and when someone summons me, my original clan tag name is displayed and displays properly, with full unicode support. Wish I could do that to twink invaders in Undead Burg.
