What the shit. Why the audio cables?
lmao I'm making him wear headphones and all he had is ear buds, after about 40 minutes he ripped out the headphones and went to surround sound. It probably killed the audio quality and I've never pulled my headphones from my own setup to see what happens to the recording. So unless everyone can handle about 20 minutes of terrible audio in the undead burg yeah it's gonna be a trainwreck of an experience.

Take DSP, and make him forget how to use a controller. That's what I'm working with.
Probably only feels that way 'cuz DS2 plays much differently than DS1 did. I'm sure once you get used to the new feel of everything it'll be much easier.

And this, i-frames has its own stat now, annoyingly
I don't think it's the i-frames. I don't recall ever dying to hollow soldiers in DS1. These fuckers are far more aggressive and have killed me a couple of times so far. Also, fuck those hippo dudes, holy shit.

How many points do i need to put into adaptability?

My usual magic number when it comes to adaptability is 20. Starting as a explorer and then trying the bandit class is like day and night at times.

Well, i started as a warrior.

Also, do i need to level up vitality? ADP gives me hp too. :/

Every stat gives you 1 hp per levelup, but vigor or whatever it was gives you like 4 points or so.
Really depends on how good you can dodge, if high ADP guarantees you to get gud and not get hit, you prolly won't need much vigor, but I always invest some points in it for those pesky AoE boss attacks, just in case I fuck up.

uh, vigor gave you way more than 4
Vigor gives you 30hp at first and declines the higher you get it. If it only gave you 4 it would be worthless.
How do you guard break/jump attack in DS2? I never had a problem with them in DS1.
How do you guard break/jump attack in DS2? I never had a problem with them in DS1.
The exact same ways as in DS1. Forward + RB to guard break, it's a shield back instead of a kick though, and forward + RT.

Yeah, i'm doing that. It doesn't work.
Yeah, i'm doing that. It doesn't work.
You need to press both simultaneously.
Flick the left thumbstick forward and press right bumper and it should work.
uh, vigor gave you way more than 4
Right, my bad, dunno how I got to 4
Yeah, i'm doing that. It doesn't work.
It requires a bit more of practice and a bit preciseness.
I've heard there's a bug with the controllers that have trouble doing guard breaks\jump attacks.
I got used to it so it's not biggie.

Mine has to be fuckin bugged then. I know how to fuckin do a jump attack, i played DS1 to NG+5. I tried doing them for 15mins and only managed to jump attack once and no guard break.
Im using a cheapo saitek controller with x360ce (same setup as ds1).

Guess I'm lucky I use an official 360 controller, the game is natively compatible to it on PC. I wasn't aware other controllers would have problems.
Downloaded the SCP drivers to try on Windows 10 since Motioninjoy doesn't work.
Motioninjoy is going into the garbage now.
Well Bed of Chaos was a bit anticlimactic. Interesting fight mechanically but kinda ruined by the fact it doesn't reset when you die. It's not very satisfying when there's no downside for dying.

Imagine if Bed of Chaos reset every time you died.
It'd be hard as shit but you'd get through it eventually just like everything else.
bed of chaos is interesting and looks cool as hell but the actual fight is fucking awful
That fight was supposed to be different, according to people searching through the files. There's animations where it walks around.
The guy who manages the Dark Souls facebook group is actually pretty cool

Yeah, I've seen some stuff by him. He's a pretty chill dude
I don't understand some streamers who hate Dark Souls so much they constantly talk shit about it and say the online multiplayer is the worst in gaming history, yet they stream it anyways and then bans anyone who tries to argue about how good the game is. Offline Mode exists for a reason, y'know.
[sp]It's okay because invading them is too damn irresistable just to see their faces of rage and disappointment.[/sp]

The entirety of Lost Izalith was rushed due to time constraints. Bed of Chaos herself was originally supposed to play out very differently but they had no time to program most of her, so she had to be cut down significantly to something more simple to meet the deadline. I think Miyazaki even personally apologized for how bad Bed of Chaos turned out to be.

This made me realise, I haven't once seen another player since I started playing. No messages, no summons, no invasions... Is it online by default? Or is there just nobody playing DS1 anymore?

did you not use humanity
i made that mistake once

Should be messages or bloodstains around in some places...

Wait do you only see other player stuff if you reverse hollowing?
You should still at least see messages and bloodstains, regardless if you're human or not. If you don't see any at all, you're probably not online.
