"Facepunch user Fenriswolf found dead in home. According to the autopsy reports, he had enough alcohol in his blood to kill 3 adult african elephants. No one knows if this was suicide, forced comsumption, or even carless partying."
i stopped enjoying SOTFS and i'm mad about it
Day fourteen.
I am still within this poison soaked tower. The endless grinding of the great gears is ruining my mind, or what is left of it. I sit, defeated, at this bonfire at the center of this great place. A scholar I was before this horrid turn of events, my strength of sixty six seemingly not enough, my steam perhaps given out. I am lost, I cannot make it through. I scrawl something into the dirt beneath my feet, with a whimper. Maybe someone will see this, and come for me.
Please someone come for me.
i feel like i'm missing something at tomb of the giants
all these clerics and paladin leeroy
I found this gif from my dropbox and it triggered a negative memory from my first ever playthrough of Dark Souls on the PS3 me so I wanted to share it:

That never gets old
Is dragonrider a fuckin joke? I killed him first try without even taking any damage. The white knights outside of his castle are 20 time harder.

Yes, Dragonrider is actually a joke.
Dual Dragonriders even moreso. Nothing quite like having one knock down the other and then one shotting it.
I've found most bosses in DS2 much easier than DS1; that being said in DS1 and Demon's Souls I was a bit of a rookie
How can anyone say DS2 is easier than DS1 is beyond me.
After playing a tons of DS2 i went back to make a new character in DS1, and I haven't died even once until 4kids, whom i defeated on my second try.
I think the thing with Dark Souls 2 bosses is they have no real 'fuck you' button to them.
Like, if I fucked up and got crunched by a boss, for example the old sinner, she'd just wait until I healed and then continue. I feel like the bosses aren't really fast enough to keep up with quick thinking players. Then again, I haven't finished the game so the hardest is hopefully to come.
The Sanctuary guardian is perhaps on the of the most vicious and unrelenting bosses in Dark Souls for me, that beast tore me apart so many times and it doesn't really allow you to heal much.
it gives you all day to heal after its shockwave and swooping charge attack. he's probably the only boss I can consistently beat without taking damage

I was co-oping with my friend one time fighting Mytha in Earthen Peak. Now, keep in mind, this guy has some of the worst luck with Souls games I've ever seen. As soon as he walked through the fog wall, Mytha did some sort of sorcery shotgun blast and killed him in one hit. I've never seen that happen before or since :v:
For the most part though, you're right in that DS2 bosses are slower and, dare I say it, a bit more forgiving. The DLC bosses really fixed that problem. The DLCs all have one co-op specific area, and fuck those, but the main bosses are phenomenal.
The Fume-Knight will remain my champ for that.
Not only is the fight so intense, but if you try to estus and you're too close to him, he'll attempt to rage at you, in a quick timespan.
four kings time, the abyss is really cool and confusing
The Abyss used to be some foreboding black ethereal nothingness, then they turned it into smokey spells and The Blob.
I have a deep hatred towards the Ruin Sentinels and Throne Watcher & G in Ds2.
It's simply because they can't be predicted whenever you want to heal and can keep their shield up for a minute straight for example (even if you're attacking or not)
Today I figured out you can parry the ruin sentinels. It was amazing, my friends standing there avoiding attack while I stood still parrying. Thier gasps when I parried the Sentinel when he jumped on the platform sending him straight back where he jumped from.
good god, i wouldn't want to try parrying the ruin sentinels
good god, i wouldn't want to try parrying the ruin sentinels
It's not as daunting as it sounds. They're like the Dragonrider in that you can parry their swings without being directly in front of them, so you just need a buckler and a knowledge of their tells. Saving the host by parrying Yahim from the side is an awesome feeling.

They have slow and wide swings, i feel they're one of the easiest to parry also they follow a comfortable rhythm
The Ruin Sentinels have a long break between attack waves, and they have lots of indicators and tells. The problem is that while one is inactive, the other is about to attack, so moments where you could take a quick swing are completely absent because you have to be defensive. That's why I hate Ornstein and Smough so much.
a guy came along with this name, so I whipped out the +3 heavy crossbow and we plinked away at the boss to victory. fun stuff

You can get them to attack all at once and leave time, but you have to bait them and keep the aggro which is difficult unless you're fighting them solo. Unless you do it in a way that I haven't been able to replicate on my own, they'll all hit you and then one will cycle to the back. They've also got this Captain Drangleic shield toss which is super annoying, it has an obvious tell but they usually do it from offscreen and you have to dodge it just right to avoid damage.
The safest way to fight them is with a rapier/estoc/spear, because while you do piss for damage you're not weighed down with armor and/or a heavy weapon so you can hop between Sentinels and dodge around their blows while getting a word in edgewise. The fastest way to fight them is to get three other guys with the Demon's Greathammer and take the Sentinels to beatdown town.
