Nobody ever summons me for anything. :( [editline]5th July 2015[/editline] Also, i still don't know what kind of build i'm going for. Because i haven't found a weapon that i've liked so far and i'm just putting stats into hp and stamina and adaptability willy nilly. I've been using fire longsword +3 for pretty much everything till now (just reached the pirate port place thing).
Do Caestus and Greataxe, it's great.
Do Caestus and Greataxe, it's great.
As in at the same time? Punch with Caestus to stun before finishing with Greataxe. I might nab that myself.

Just make sure you are ripped and shirtless for maximum manliness, it gives you more damage.
I actually did a greataxe setup in PvP once, powerstanced and both fire buffed and just waited for an opening and it turned out to be absolutely devastating.

Zooming past fuckers while wearing a big sword never gets old.
Some guy made an upside down mod for Dark Souls, and LobosJR is streaming it now. http://www.twitch.tv/lobosjr
RIP
Iron Keep really isn't that fun. A huge mob-fountain before Smelter Demon, who himself really sucks and is yet another boss that's just a big humanoid. EDIT: Seems you can skip Smelter, made it a bit further in and now Knights are dropping out of the ceiling to trap me in corridors with Turtle-knights. Top quality design here, this isn't challenging. It's punishingly unfair.

Pretty much everything after Smelter is a cakewalk compared to the bullshit Alonne Knight clusterfuck they placed before him. [sp]It's more beneficial to kill Smelter anyways 'cuz it nets you a farther bonfire location so you don't have to bust your ass through that dumb mob every single time, plus it gives you a chance to fight a special enemy for a better Ring of Blades +1.[/sp]

I generally go through 2 Estus to all the Clusterfuck before the Boss.

Normally I have about 6-7 by the time I get there. I suggest leaving Iron Keep and continue exploring other places in case you might have missed something pivotal. Or if you want, I can try to help. I don't have my gaming rig completely set up yet as I had to move my stuff out of my room to rip up the carpet and put down fresh tiles, but I still got my essentials hooked up at the moment to play games (just gotta' use headphones for audio since I can't be arsed to set up my surround speakers with its 10 billion cables everywhere).

And I'm having a hard time coming by Estus Shards, I'm also not sure how I upgrade their healing capacity. In 1 it had something to do with helping the Firekeepers, but they don't seem to exist this time around.

If you want to upgrade the potency of the healing, you need to find what's called Sublime Bone Dusts, which are basically the equivalent to Firekeeper Souls. Using one will boost the potency by +1. As you're exploring Drangleic you may have spotted some unusual places where a large armored knight is guarding a chest. These are visual indications that they are guarding an Estus Flask Shard or a Sublime Bone Dust. Also, matchmaking is not determined by Soul Level anymore, but rather by Soul Memory. It's the total number of souls that you have accumulated in your journey thus far. I think the character I have with the lowest possible soul memory is around 850,000. I can co-op with people within the 500k to 1mil range.

I'm confident I missed one in Earthen Peak, between Covetous Demon and Iron Keep.
You do not use Sublime Bone Dust, you burn it at the Far Fire.
Same thing. :v:
I've done things like put almost all of my points into strength so I can power-stance two Giant Rock Hammers, and put almost all of my points into Endurance so I can do like 12 rapier stabs in one combo.
Does anyone still care about the debug build? If you pm me I'll try to send you a link.
a guy came along with this name, so I whipped out the +3 heavy crossbow and we plinked away at the boss to victory. fun stuff
When I first saw this I thought he meant he was only going to let coop people fight through the game, and only bow gesture at any enemy.
I'd take estus flask shards so it rewards exploring than farming\storing a bunch of humanities to get 20 estus flasks, of course the "downside" is that you can get those 20 in that bonfire but Humanity isn't a rare thing at all
So iv'e been collecting loyce souls cant help but notice iv'e amassed a fuck-ton of crispy black armor.
Made it through Blighttown 2, Gutter edition. One more Lord Soul to get, guessing it's in ghost-forest land? I found Vengarls body and beat it and his head said it'd help me in battle, can't wait to find a boss to see what that looks like. This area though, it seems to be entirely reliant on Fragrant Branches of Yore. Every other door is blocked by a statue.
Fuck man, i was just about to unlock the no man's wharf shortcut but some dickwraith invaded me and one shot me with dark magic.
I love how this game confuses you so much first playthrough. Turns out I've been having trouble because I'm skipping entire areas they I need to go through first. ACK, I wish I know that before eating all my yellow rocks.

I've been using this 50/50 powerstanced bonefist for the longest time now, I think over half a year. It's really fun, but I'm getting kind of tired of it after over half a year. What weapon should I switch to, or what should I respec as? I've been thinking of trying a hexer build.
Limbo Souls! [thumb]http://i.imgur.com/hiH3TZ4.png[/thumb] LobosJR is doing a run with this visual mod now. http://www.twitch.tv/lobosjr
