How would that work in combat?

How do you mean? The HUD is completely disabled, so you can't see any health bars or anything.

He means everything in the foreground is black, he'll only be able to see the upper bodies of most people that he fights.
Just beat the Scorpion woman, now I'm fighting giant Elephant men which is a nice change of pace.
You can buy more from the old lady with a big backpack in the Forest of the Fallen Giants.
Yup, I've probably purchased around 100-150 from her so far.
It's my play style, see. Wear the heaviest armor and use the heaviest weapons, TANK EVERYTHING.
Made it through Blighttown 2, Gutter edition. One more Lord Soul to get, guessing it's in ghost-forest land? I found Vengarls body and beat it and his head said it'd help me in battle, can't wait to find a boss to see what that looks like. This area though, it seems to be entirely reliant on Fragrant Branches of Yore. Every other door is blocked by a statue.
There's a knight guarding a chest there in the Shaded Ruins. Find it and your Estus Flask will thank you. :v:

Got him, I've fought a load of those Knights before but they all seemed to be guarding weapons and stuff for magic, a few have had bone dusts and shards but not enough for my liking. There was one at the bottom of a pit in Rat-town as well.
Help, I'm stuck in the starting area (where the gate is) in the duel arena. I've been here for at least 10 minutes, and I don't think it matched me with anyone. I can't black crystal out, I can't exit game, i cant feather back to the bonfire, WHAT DO I DO???

Are you talking about the dueling arena for the Brotherhood of Blood covenant? I've had times when I would be sent to the arena only to sit on my ass for a minute or two before kicking me out 'cuz my partner timed out, but I've never heard of it lasting 10 minutes. If you're honestly that stuck in there, then just alt+F4 out of there, there's nothing else you can do.
I waited another 5 minutes before trying to kill myself. Thank god for the bewitched alonne sword.
However, as soon as I killed myself, it started the duel???

So, i joined the blue sentinels and got summoned 4 times. Shits fuckin satisfying. I managed to kill two invaders but once the dumb dumb host got killed by normal mobs and other time i got summoned when the host was already at like 10% hp . Here's my silly looking character:

Man, fucking spiders. When I wanted more enemies that weren't Bipeds it doesn't mean you put them all on 8 legs and a big obvious skull on their back From Software!
Also, lol congregation boss. Does that even count as a fight?

It's basically the Pinwheel of boss fights. :v:
If I had to guess I'd say the congregation boss is designed to make you think about a boss fight that has a lot of other smaller enemies in it. Like the Spider boss at the end of that area.

Doesn't having a torch lit make all spiders non-hostile? I went the entire area between congregation and freya without being swung at by any baby spiders because I had a torch.

Assuming you're playing Scholar.

From my experience, not opening the chest before the room of the Congregation doesn't aggro the spiders.
Does anyone even post in the Bloodborne thread anymore? I don't think I've seen any new posts there in forever.

The dream has ended, there are no more Hunters, for they have been returned to the waking world.

Meanwhile the Curse expands through all time with heroes of old and new constantly passing by.

The fact that the playerbase is kind of small, there are matchmaking issues, and the game is a lot less free form in terms of build creation/play style than Souls makes it not last as much as it maybe should.

The lack of PvP and weapon variety killed it for me. The game's great, but it doesn't have anywhere near the replay value of other Souls games.
Dark souls looks amazing with Limbo mod

I managed to beat the Dukes Freja! Not sure why he had such a love of giant spiders. Unless they are the ones that killed a Dragon, but when Dragons were alive there were only the original Four Souls and all that, no mention of spiders? I think I'm onto Drangliec now, I've spoken to what I presume is the incarnation of the Primal Bonfires (or something to that end), and I killed the Duke who was hollowed and reading books.
Having a Torch Lit seemed to scare most of the Spiders, but not the Spidermen. I took no chances though and killed them all.

Making everything gray and removing the HUD is one thing, but being unable to know your stats, inventory, level up, or anything at all unless you memorized keystroke order seems really tedious.

The spiders and spiderdudes were the largest sources of cheap shit in the entire game, other than the giant knights in the Dragon Cathedral.

Especially spider people when they do a final "fuck you" hit when you kill them up close.

I'm using a Halberd and the spiders all died in one hit if you got them with the blade. Spiderpeople were a bit tougher but they still never got close, I only fought...four or so?
Quick question, Dark Souls 1 never claimed that you travelled the length and breadth of Lordran, but were instead focussed on the Mountain containing Firelink Shrine and Anor Londo across the mountain range. That's not all of Lordran, fair enough.
But Dark Souls 2 seems to want me to think I'm traversing all of the kingdom of Drangleic, using bullshit geometry to give the impression that a 5 minute jaunt can take me from Mejula to the Tower of Flame, that the bridge in Shaded Woods is kilometres away despite being reachable in 3 minutes jogging and that Iron Keep is on top of a volcano within Earthen Peak or somesuch. Am I meant to be travelling all of Drangleic, because the game seems to want me to think I am?

Honestly while I liked what I played of Demons I got to the second sections of the Tower of Latria and the mountain area and got burned out on the boss run being the entire section. I just kind of lost interest.
