This is kinda old news at this point, but do you guys remember this post? Just had something similar happen to me. Got stucking sitting in the arena for like a good minute or so before the connection timed out and said the duel was canceled. However, as it was canceled the player's name showed up at the same time and his name was very similar to yours. [t]http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/452959849610591861/0648CBEB14C01E01F82FFF1D86FD7CCD703F887E/[/t] Despite being similar in nature the names are still different, however. I can't help but wonder if these aren't even the player's names at all, but maybe some kind of address within the game's coding that basically says where the player's name should appear.
if its a fixed address someone could fire up cheat engine and test this it could be anything, I'm interested to see what the hell they are, but probably wont work
So why don't we expand when we get lord souls
instead of leveling up our big stat we level up our gud stat hence "git gud"
I think it's really nice to leave helpful guiding messages around the game
[thumb]http://i477.photobucket.com/albums/rr132/Jimesu_Evil/message.jpg~original[/thumb] I don't know how I'd ever manage without them.
Is there ever a given explanation for why every enemy in DS that isn't a hollow dude is a giant? Not a...giant giant, just huge.
The Giants in DS1 are not human. The Giant Armour says "due to its giant size, it is extremely heavy for humans, and impedes stamina recovery." They also take extra damage from Occult weapons as they are related to the gods.
Is there any point to invading in DS2 besides dicking people over? I thought you were supposed to get humanity from it, all I got was a piddly amount of souls and a token to prove I successfully dicked someone.

They're huge dudes and as far as I can tell, there's no reason given for why everyone is huge except you and lesser hollows and skeletons. I figured it may be because they have huge Souls, but the Chosen Undead/Bearer of the Curse also gets huge Souls.

Invasion is all about being a dick anyway. The only thing i'd like to see is getting human effigy + token from human players as invader and if they're hollow you only get the token. At least they finally decided to give reward for the host on banishing dark spirits.

So I want to play Dark Souls 2 this summer. Any mods or anything you guys recommend me? I wouldn't have been able to finish DS1 without DSfix, anything fancy for this game?

Original has ENB support with better AA, control over lighting values (But not all lighting), better bloom, and better SSAO (Prone to flickering because reasons. Even NVidia's HBAO+ injector flickers so ???). Nothing for SotFS. Maybe SweetFX.

Humans have humanity, which is shards of the dark soul. Beings like Ornstein and Artorias are part of race that's similar to the gods, but possess less powerful souls. All the ordinary sized NPCs that give you a soul item upon death give you humanity, the larger ones that generally serve as bosses give you their own soul, which has a brighter color and is stated to be quite different since it's why Artorias was corrupted by the abyss while undead humans don't get corrupted.

It's also heavily implied that the two had a thing going. What's the implications of that then?
Artorias was large, but Ciaran was normal sized. It's also heavily implied that the two had a thing going. What's the implications of that then?
She's closer to normal sized, but also refers to humans as though she isn't one.
Kinda like Alsanna and the Ivory King
Artorias was large, but Ciaran was normal sized. It's also heavily implied that the two had a thing going. What's the implications of that then?
I chalk it up to DkS being, first and foremost, a video game. There's a lot of shit gameplay-wise that when cross-examined with the lore doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Items on the corpses of hollows, etc. The best answer is often the most simple

I'm fine without graphic mods since I saw DS2 looks pretty decent, compared to the shitty DS1 port
Artorias was large, but Ciaran was normal sized. It's also heavily implied that the two had a thing going. What's the implications of that then?
That's just because they reused the player model for her. Likely to save time. She's the same race as Artorias and his buddies. They could have made her double sized (which might have been proper) but that would have fucked with the animations.
Yeah probably. Just felt like picking on that.
Speaking of sweetfx, I made a preset to help get rid of the green tint that comes with SotFS. Figured someone might hate it on here as much as I do :v linky Mind the butchered quality on the first, the darker ones the preset.

The giants in DS1 are just giants, it's supposed to show how much more powerful the gods are compared to humans. DS2 muddied up a lot of lore by making it so powerful people also got huge for no reason and making it so people could turn into demons, where before all undead were small and all demons came from the chaos flame.

The only transformation I can think of is Ceaseless Discharge, and he was turned into a lava monster when demons were created in the first place. In DS2 you had Covetous Demon who was a man who became so jealous that he couldn't be with Mytha that he became Jabba the Hutt, and Mytha who was so obsessed with being beautiful she poisoned herself into becoming Medsua. Though Mytha is never called a demon.
What's the best quality weapon?
What's the best quality weapon?
sun sword
But online, people are bitching that it's got shitty base damage and unless you're going 50/50 str/dex, long sword, fume sword, varangian, and drake keeper do more DMG and have better move sets.
I always went with a maxed out Fire Longsword. I could do 6 hits and a backdash on a full stamina bar. Worked really well for me in PVP.
anyone post this yet ?
I passed through ash lake again and this is the first time I've actually looked at this thing. What the hell is it? Bloodborne just got updated. Wonder what it is. [editline]13th July 2015[/editline]
If a player uses the Beckoning Bell or Small Resonant Bell while using a password, it will be clearly indicated that a password is in use. If the level difference between the host and the guest when matched using a password is large, the guest’s stats will be adjusted to match the host’s. Other bug fixes and matching improvements.
Looks kinda catlike, or could be a troll.
