It probably got blunted down from wear and tear or all the molten shit coming out of the Smelter getting onto the Axe cooling over and reforming it
why isnt onion man black
Dark souls steamworks beta wont even boot anymore. anyone else having this problem?
Do you have the latest DSFix?
Dark Souls 1 isn't starting for me. Steam opens [installing x/x], closes after half a second, then never opens DS1. I cleaned out SweetFX and DSFix, still nothing.
Go to the dsfx.ini file and set the unlockFPS to 0 That worked for me
I dunno how you guys complain so much about twink invasions. Since launch and with over 7 characters and 270+ hours all I've gotten is like five serious twink invasions and that's really not a problem because most of the people that you summon @ Parish/other early game areas come prepared with countertwinking gear. Just a bit ago I summoned a guy that ran around the level with me using a +3 or +4 Halberd until a giantdad twink showed up, at which point he pulled out his BKGS and oneshotted him. Then he shrugged, swapped back to his halberd and life went on. If you really have problems with twinks, summmon practically anyone and gangbang the dude, there is no way you'll lose a 2v1 fight if you've got a good shield/good roll timings. Twohand a greatshield if necessary. Besides, something that was really fucking fun that got sucked out of the game when SM was added is the fucking cosplay invasion builds. Yesterday I went down to Blighttown and I got invaded by a guy called Barbarian. It was a maximum egghead dude with Gough's Armor and two axes, had around 1.2k HP. His axes dealt just enough damage to punish me for getting hit, but it never came close to 1shotting me or 2shotting me. I promptly summoned a dude and then rekt him because I was afraid of losing all my 20 humanities from my non-stop co-op in the Depths and the Parish. That goes without mentioning the Darkwraith cosplay builds with slowwalk and R2 only. SM might make the game a bit safer, but it also makes it dull. You can still twink in DkS2 anyways, just requires planning and a little bit of effort. Edit: sorry if I come across as a bit rude; I'm really passionate about Dark Souls as a series because, as a youngling, it's a very defining game for me. I love it to death and I just disliked the changes in DkS2, which made me really bitter because I thought Dark Souls was pretty much perfect, a series to be easily improved upon by just tweaking a couple of things. By the way, is anyone else having problems with crashing on summoning? Apparently it's because of character or Steam names having weird characters.
Just beat Nito on my first try. I already knew that my Silver Knight Spear was pretty good against skeletons, but damn, I had no idea it would trivialize the boss fight so much.

Probably one of the easier in the game.
Doesn't steam actually`do one refund per person nowadays, but then that's it?
Beats me. They wouldn't take back a game I hadn't installed yet that I bought the day before. Don't know what else you'd have to do.
Go to the dsfx.ini file and set the unlockFPS to 0 That worked for me
It was steam messing up. After I restarted Steam, everything worked just fine including DSFix.
Playthroughs going great so far. Decided do an Orinstein RP so I've been running around with nothing but a pike and a boar helm with the flippy ring. About to head off to andor londo to get the real deal. Managed to get into a fight with smough already through the cat covenant but got one shotted with his hammer just before I would have finished him off. Real fights probably going to go the same way.
I hate when people drink estus on the iron keep bridge while pvping
Someone give me a build to play. Not like, super hard challenge run but something fun or wacky to build into. Dark Souls 2 can be more challenging and Dark Souls 1 has more unique prospects so surprise me with a build in one of them. [editline]24th January 2015[/editline] Make sure it can at least carry me through Anal Rodeo if not the whole game.

Fair warning, in the high soul memory tier of NG+ there's a hacker named "Ducksmoses" in the dragon shrine who's running/attacking faster than the binocular glitch (too fast to ever block or defend yourself) there's their steam account http://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198202738392/
Why do I always get balder side swords on my strength characters? I just got two without even trying.
so I was messing with ultramon to mirror my screen (not rotate, flip) for the hell of it, then booted up dark souls to see how much it would freak my brain out. the memory where you fight the giant lord is exactly the same as the area where you first fight the pursuer, however it's flipped. If you play one of them mirrored, it'll look the same as the other. Head is located in the same spot, etc. I'm not sure how to really describe it but the two areas look the same, just inverted. that is so weird :v:
so i'm taking on cool ranch smelter for the first time fml
One thing I miss about dark souls is the fact that you can cosplay. I used to love picking an area I liked for coop/pvp and building a character dedicated to just that one area. I could just run through the game at low level, grab my cosplay gear, and then return and get summoned/invade. Its difficult to say the least to do this in dark souls 2.
Dude I miss that thing the absolute MOST out of everything in Dark Souls 1. The scenery and the PvE in there were amazing, yeah, but I'd give that up for DkS2 multiplayer in a heartbeat if I could actually make dedicated coop characters again. I hope Agape Ring lets me get back to co-op funtimes.

It explains why that giant statue head was even there in the first place for the Pursuer fight. [editline]24th January 2015[/editline] Also, I tried getting myself summoned as a mirror squire for the Looking Glass Knight boss fight for nearly 2 hours straight. Only got summoned once the whole time. :suicide:
I always thought it was pretty obvious. It was the first thing that came to mind when i went there for the first time.

Which boss is best for helping people out as a sunbro? I want the miracle but nobody summons me, I'm on NG+ and my SM is 5mil
ive gotten hit a few times because he did his groundspike attack without him even being in vision
He likes to spam it in the beginning of the fight, while you're occupied with the skeleton minions.
So it turns out Catarina armour and the Witch set high heels are my favourite combination. [t]http://puu.sh/eZeeL.png[/t]
So it turns out Catarina armour and the Witch set high heels are my favourite combination. [t]http://puu.sh/eZeeL.png[/t]
Dark Souls is a serious game for serious people.
Fashion~
that doesnt count i mean his actual sword swings, they literally never fucking hit you. i cant believe the amount of times ive even deliberately tried to get hit and nothing happens
Reminds me of the last head of the Hydra. Fuck that guy.
About to borrow a friend's PS3 for Metal Gear Solid 4 and I realized I could use this opportunity to jump into Demon's Souls. Pretty hype considering I heard a lot of good stuff about it.
