Would it be safe for me to install some UI mods? I found a couple that I like but I'm scared to death that I'll get softbanned, I already have enough trouble playing MP as it is

They wont softban you for such, they cant see whats on your client, and they ban if you lowered your SM and if you have items that you arent to supposed to have.
Hands on, hmm? Sounds like we're getting right to the nitty gritty now.
What is the most active version of Dark Souls 1, if anyone knows. PS3, PC or Xbox?
I only play PC, which is very active, but from what I've heard PS3 and Xbox are pretty active as well.
"Ah, hello there. You don't look low-res, far from it."

The Devil is a part timer
Playing through the first DLC, and jesus christ this city is such a fucking chore to go through
it's gonna take me hours to slodge through this debacle of corridors and these fucking poison bugs and shit. Also what does killing that tree even do? I only saw a summoning host do it and I couldn't see what he got from it.

Wait, which tree? I've run Shulva three times and I honestly do not ever remember seeing a tree.

You just get 3 dried roots. If you whip it you can repair your equipped items for free, even broken ones.

There's a hidden platform / tower raising switch behind red-eyed statues. Look around near the bonfire in the tower.
Is Scholar of the First Sin worth it as someone who:
Has only played roughly half of the first DLC and no other DLC
Hasn't played ds2 in like a year and a half
I plan on getting the last 2 DLC for 20 anyway but is the extra 10$ worth it?

I'd say it's worth it. I loved and hated some of the changes, but overall with the dlc it's a better experience.
God fucking dammit. Old Iron Keep was such an awesome DLC but now I'm fighting through a network of tunnels and at the end of it all? Smelter Demon. Fuck off.

I always saw that as an optional challenge area so I just ignored it.

Is it? God dammit. I've left 120k souls in the boss room.

Every DLC has that optional "long ass tunnel" area with a shitty boss at the end. It's more or less supposed to test your patience.
You'll know you're in one of those places when you see these summoning statues scattered around the entrance.

what are those statues even for? I don't understand.
what are those statues even for? I don't understand.
People without the dlc can get summoned through them.

future graves for your patience, controllers, and computer screens
Is it? God dammit. I've left 120k souls in the boss room.
Yeah it isn't the end of the dlc, you just get a fairly good item after it. They're basically designed around the idea that you've got at least one summon with you. Soloing them is rough.
People without the dlc can get summoned through them.
Wait, really? So that's why I could enter the DLC but not past the main doors. I saw those statues in rooms at the side but fuck if I knew what that actually did.

FNR and I just ran through the section. Which is easy enough, only hard part to run through is the second area where Walk of Peace is cast.
Fume Knight is damned fun. I had him with one hit to go and he pulled out some backward swipe that got me. As I watched myself die I realised just how fast my heart was pounding. Whew.
Fuuuuuck, after killing velstadt, i thought vendrick is going to be some easy bitch shit, being right after hte boss fight with no armor but he took like no damage and basically one shot me... and i lost like 65k souls that i did not manage to retrieve.

So I guess this is a fake because registration would start today and the website still doesn't exist.
Am I the only one who actually liked the Frigid Outskirts? :v:
The area, the boss was bleh.
The area itself was cool it was just those god damned deer and twin-tigers that made people hate it.
Some people call them zebras, some call them deers, I'm pretty sure they're HORSES. Especially since they make horse noises. :v:
